Aurora sat in the tent, looked at Caelus, who was sitting on a chair reading a book not far away, and asked, "Sir, what is your opinion of Kazdel?"
"As of now, all I see is a land suffering from war. As for the Sarkaz living on it, I can only say that they are doing their best to survive."
"Yes, we are all just living for the sake of living. So when those of us who have grown numb receive even a little warmth and light, we always beco a bit extre."
Aurora said this. Over the past few days, she had been leading Caelus toward Babel's location while helping those in need along the way. As a result, without anyone realizing it, hundreds of people had gathered around her.
And none of these people were civilians. Every one of them was a battle-hardened rcenary, and more than half of them even had decent Originium Arts. This team of over a hundred people could completely be called an elite force.
So of these people followed her because Aurora had saved their lives, so thought they had been redeed and were chasing the light, and so believed that following Aurora would guarantee their survival, so they followed her.
Recently, whenever she had free ti, Aurora would talk to these people, weaving remarks about faith into her words, either openly or subtly. In this way, she was secretly spreading faith in God.
At first, Aurora was a bit nervous about this, afraid that Caelus would dislike it, but after finding that Caelus did not care at all, she felt relieved and preached with all her heart.
Perhaps it would not be long before these hundred people truly beca believers.
"Sir, do you think such a day will co in the future? A day when there will be no more war on this continent, when everyone has enough food and clothing, when everyone can live happily, when no one has to worry about sudden disasters, when no one has to worry whether a friend drinking beside them will draw a blade, and when everyone can entrust their trust to others."
"There will be. If you long for such a life, then chase it and build it. A dream, if it is never realized, is still only a dream. But if you act on it, if you pursue it, then that dream may beco reality."
Aurora nodded, walked out of the tent, then ca to the campfire in the camp and greeted so of the people on night watch with a smile.
Caelus closed the book in his hand, and then the pink-haired beautiful girl suddenly walked out from behind him.
"Partner, I'm a bit confused now. Is this child willing to do that because of the corruption, or is it because her nature is already like that, and the corruption rely gave her the power and courage to do it?"
"That isn't important. No matter what her nature is, the world ultimately judges a person by her actions. Even if her purpose might only be the result of corruption, wanting to promote her faith, at least she is truly treating the sick and saving people, allowing others to see light in the darkness."
"Then does Abundance itself simply want to sow seeds that will help others? As for what kind of fruit those seeds will eventually bear, is that not important to it?"
"The Aeon of Abundance perhaps simply cannot bear the pain of life and death, and cannot bear the various forms of suffering that appear in the world because life is fragile, so it wants to make all living beings immortal. But whether the evil consequences that arise after all living beings beco immortal are important to this new god is unknown. After all, I have never witnessed the existence of this Aeon myself. My power of this Path still cos from God's gift."
Caelus shook his head. At present, the only Aeons he had seen numbered three. One was IX, the Aeon of Nihility, whom he had seen when he was born inside its body.
Another was Fuli, the Aeon of Rembrance, whom he had seen when unlocking the power of the Path of Rembrance.
The last one was HooH, the Aeon of Equilibrium, whom he had seen when unlocking the Path of Equilibrium.
The first two were quite famous in the universe, while the last one was an existence and Path that people truly would not know about without a certain level of status and knowledge.
Of course, Caelus himself also possessed two powers of the Path of Finality and one power of the Path of Abundance gifted by God.
But apart from the power of the Path of Finality, which seed to exist within himself, the other two were all powers from beyond this world.
"If you want to learn about Aeons, you have no choice but to go to Herta Space Station and ask Herta and the other mbers of the Genius Society. After all, when it cos to the study of Aeons, they are the most knowledgeable in the entire universe, along with the rumored Zandar, who created Nous, the Aeon of Erudition."
Caelus was naturally curious about the Aeons of his ho universe and wanted to learn their stories. However, the information about the pasts of the Aeons in various universal records was overly vague and generalized. Among the few with clear records, one was Lan, the Aeon of The Hunt, whose past had been gifted to him by General Jing Yuan.
The rest were all widely circulated on the internet, such as Nous, the Aeon of Erudition, created by Zandar of the Genius Society, and Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction, who ascended for unknown reasons after their howorld was engulfed in the Swarm Disaster.
Information about the other Aeons was even more obscure, filled with uncertainties and rumors. With so many conflicting versions, it was impossible to distinguish the truth. To uncover the real, hidden secrets, one would have to go to the Garden of Recollection, or perhaps even confront the Aeon of Rembrance directly.
"Perhaps only by speaking face-to-face with the Aeon of Rembrance can one truly know the real past of that universe and the secrets of the various Aeons."
Hearing Caelus say this, Cyrene brushed her hair in confusion. She did not know why, but whenever her Partner ntioned going to find the Aeon of Rembrance, she felt like he was doing sothing unnecessary.
It was an inexplicable intuition. Cyrene did not know the specific reason herself and could not articulate it, so she kept it to herself.
Caelus glanced outside. Under Aurora's subtle proselytizing over the past few days, the people were no longer so resistant to the faith, and so had even begun to change their minds, coming to believe in the deity she described.
If this continued, Caelus could not help feeling that he was not just visiting Theresa at Babel, but rather that a religious sect was launching an eastern crusade.
anwhile, inside Babel.
Her Highness Theresa, representing noble ideals, looked with so distress at the intelligence in her hands at the conference table. After reading it, she asked the person sitting opposite her, "Kal'tsit, what should we do now? If this continues, more and more people will gather. That so-called religious sect is about to form a third faction. The Sarkaz who haven't joined Theresis or my side have already joined that third faction."
The woman with pale green hair and feline ears calmly put down the docunt and said, "There has never been a true deity on this land. That false faith is very likely being organized by troublemakers sent by other countries. Either they want to intensify the chaos of Kazdel's internal strife, or they want to take the opportunity to tear Kazdel apart for their own selfish interests."
"A small group from that sect is heading our way, led by a woman nad Aurora. Throughout her journey, she has helped others without seeking reward, using her special Originium Arts to heal people and distribute food, thereby recruiting over a hundred followers."
"Your Highness can make contact with her later. We can take this opportunity to better understand the internal structure of this sect and try to recruit her, so that the sect's stance might tilt in our favor."
"Hmm, it's certainly easier to understand when you speak plainly, don't you think? Kal'tsit?"
Kal'tsit sighed and chose to ignore what she said. She had hurried back from Rim Billiton, not to chat idly with Theresa here.
