Jing Lei’s death astounded the Slaughter God King. He imdiately pulled up the battlefield footage.

Han Wu’s True Black Dragon King form and that trendous display of power made everyone in the Slaughter Faction’s command room draw a sharp breath. Even against an overcharged Jing Lei, Han Wu had needed only two moves to kill him. He had reached a terrifying level of strength.

“As long as this threat exists, there is no possibility of winning this divine war,” the Butcher said with certainty.

Every Major God in the room nodded. None believed that they were stronger than Huang Shengjun or Jing Lei. Facing Han Wu would only an death.

The Butcher’s eyes turned cold. “I’ll go personally and finish Han Wu.”

Soone imdiately objected, “Slaughter God King, you cannot! You are the core of this war effort. Your abilities remain unknown to the enemy. If you act too soon and expose yourself, Xu Hai will find a counter, and the losses will outweigh the gains.”

“Slaughter God King, please calm down. There must be another way.”

“Xu Hai is the Wisdom God King. Any ability revealed to him once has a high chance of being countered. We need a long-term plan.”

Under the persuasion of his Major Gods, the Butcher sat back down. The War Faction had provided substantial support, including nurous powerful treasures, and he had used less than a fifth of them. Yet he wondered if anything among those resources could contain or kill Han Wu.

He searched through the resource list and found one item: the Magic Sealing Wave. It could temporarily seal all abilities of a World life form. The drawback was severe. It had to be used within ten ters of Han Wu and required ten seconds to activate. If Han Wu left the area during activation, it would fail.

How could the Magic Sealing Wave be made to work? The Butcher imdiately contacted his spy inside Imperial College and sent the item over.

On the battlefield, Wei En, the fourth-year class valedictorian who was about to graduate, ended the call and stored the item.

After a year of focused cultivation, Wei En had ascended into a Major God, making her one of Imperial College’s rare Major God graduates. In any other year, she would have been the center of attention. The college would have treated her as a prized talent and possibly offered her a faculty position to stay and teach.

Unfortunately, this year was different. Her ascension drew little attention because the third-year and even second-year valedictorians had also beco Major Gods. Xia Tian, the third-year valedictorian, along with Xiang ng and Ye Ling, had all recently ascended. anwhile, Han Wu, the second-year valedictorian, had been a Major God for quite so ti.

With the juniors performing so outstandingly, Wei En, now an outgoing fourth-year, received almost no attention from the college. This slight deepened her hatred of Han Wu.

Her investigation revealed that Xia Tian’s group had advanced so quickly because Han Wu had given them three slots in the operation to save the Divine Weapon Civilization, where they secured abundant resources and broke through.

She had also been a candidate for the legendary Armant Spirit contest at the ti, yet Han Wu hadn’t given her a slot. Instead, he had chosen the weaker Qin Shuang and Sun Qingnian, and even a student from Demonic Imperial College.

Naturally, that decision had infuriated Wei En. She had clearly been the most suitable candidate. Han Wu had made the decision and handed those opportunities to others. In her eyes, he had given away what should have been hers to strangers.

Wei En gritted her teeth, and purple patterns spread across her face.

“Han Wu, you destroyed my opportunity. I’ll make sure you suffer a miserable death,” she muttered quietly.

At that mont, Jia Gui arrived to patrol his section of the line. His current level was only that of a God, and his units were weak, but he remained a powerful World life form, and his reputation preceded him. His defection from the Heaven Stair Civilization was still celebrated as a model of loyalty in the Divine Civilization’s propaganda and promotional materials.

His arrival energized the students stationed nearby. A few attractive female students stepped forward eagerly to rub his shoulders and massage his back, hoping to gain his notice.

Jia Gui once held a senior position in the Heaven Stair Civilization’s outer group and was accustod to being attended to. Even so, being surrounded by elite students was a pleasure he had never experienced. After a single taste, he beca thoroughly addicted.

I’ve bled and fought for the Divine Civilization my whole life. Am I not entitled to so enjoynt?

Those who attended him were talented and knew exactly what to say. He had co to love these patrols; they brought him close to pure ecstasy.

This ti was no different. Jia Gui sat with his eyes narrowed, enjoying the students’ gentle massages. His thin fra twitched occasionally in a way that resembled a mild seizure.

Wei En stepped forward. Her piercing gaze drove back the girls who had been massaging Jia Gui as she took over. “Hero Jia, how does that feel?”

“Wonderful,” Jia Gui murmured, his eyes half-shut.

Perhaps the pleasure ca less from the physical massage than from the sense of indulgence it gave him. He was completely addicted to it.

A flicker of disgust crossed Wei En’s face, but she forced it down and continued attending to him without complaints for the sake of her mission.

“Hero Jia, could I ask you a favor?” Wei En asked.

Jia Gui’s eyes snapped open, and he reached out and took her hand. “Go on. What do you need?”

As the president of the Saintess Club, Wei En was widely regarded as a stunning beauty on campus. There was a reason so many male students were willing to do anything to gain her attention.

Jia Gui’s touch made her stomach churn. Hold it together for the mission’s sake. Do not slip up. Just think of it as a dog biting .

With that thought, Wei En put on a sobbing expression, her voice trembling slightly. “I want to ask for your help. Soone has taken advantage of ...”

Jia Gui jumped to his feet, furious. Damn it, I haven’t even had my turn yet, and soone already jumped ahead of .

“What! Who?” he demanded. “Does he think I am just here to do nothing? Tell who it is, and I’ll spit in his face!”
