As dusk approached, Yun Jiao called the two employees to close up shop.
The storefront was so large that it took quite a while to put up the boards.
At dinner, as expected, everyone got an extra chicken leg, and the table was lively and bustling.
anwhile, in a large mansion in the city, Boss Jin, with a bandaged arm, was complaining to Mr. Qi Ma.
"Brother-in-law, look, my arm was broken by him. If you don’t help get revenge, I... I might as well not live."
Mr. Qi Ma impatiently replied, "Alright, alright, stop being so useless. Take so n tomorrow, demand so compensation from them, and let it go at that."
Boss Jin was delighted, "Thank you, brother-in-law."
Mr. Qi Ma glanced at him sideways, "Take it easy, be reasonable, don’t go too far."
"I know it must have been you who started it."
Before Jin Laoer could speak, his sister, sitting across, chided, "My brother is the most honest person, he’s never one to start trouble outside."
"Today’s incident happened because he was buying ginseng for ."
Mr. Qi Ma snorted lightly, noncommittal.
Early the next morning, Jin Laoer led twenty to thirty n from the Xuan Gang, wielding poles and sticks, heading toward Renxin Hall.
Passersby saw these people swaggering through the streets and said, "That Jin Laoer is off to cause trouble for soone again."
Shopkeepers by the road quietly spat, "The piece of trash, truly a dog relying on its master’s power."
All these shopkeepers loathed Jin Laoer but had no way to deal with him.
As the group passed by Qilin Hall, Manager Sun stood at the door, craning his neck to watch. Seeing the group heading toward Renxin Hall, Manager Sun got excited and told the employees, "I’m going to Renxin Hall to watch the spectacle. If anything happens, call over there."
Then he ran out.
Renxin Hall had only just opened. In the front shop were Yun Jiao, Jiang Youzhi, two employees, and Ah Tie.
A custor inside was currently collecting dicine.
Suddenly, seeing a large group of people at the door wielding poles and sticks, the custor got scared and wanted to flee, but dared not run to the door, so instead, they dashed to the backyard.
Lin Shuo and Ah Hu were chopping wood in the back courtyard.
The guarding work was too easy, so they had to find sothing to do to comfort themselves that they weren’t freeloading.
Suddenly, they saw a stranger rushing in, panic-stricken. Ah Hu went over to stop him, "What are you doing? This is a private residence. Don’t barge in."
The person pointed outside, "A lot of people have co, wielding sticks and poles. I... I was afraid they’d hit if I didn’t co in."
Ah Hu frowned, "It must be that kid from yesterday who brought people over."
Lin Shuo listened to Ah Hu yesterday and picked up his axe, "Let’s go, take a look."
They ca out from the back and saw twenty to thirty people standing in the shop, a nacing black mass that looked intimidating.
Jiang Youzhi stood in front of Yun Jiao, looking coldly at Jin Laoer at the front.
Jin Laoer, with his arm in a sling, shaking his leg, said, "In Xiang City, no one dares to bully , Jin Laoer!"
"Do you know who my brother-in-law is? He is the—"
He didn’t finish his sentence before Lin Shuo ca out, impatiently cutting him off, "Cut the crap, just say what you want to do."
Jin Laoer took a step back when he saw Lin Shuo, dressed in fine clothes with an extraordinary presence, holding an axe. "Who are you? Can you make decisions?"
Lin Shuo frowned, "I’m the guard of Renxin Hall."
"What decision do you want to make?"
