Upon arriving at the Great Wall, Lu Mingyuan wasted no ti. With a single slash of his saber, he shattered the Demon Ape Demon Monarch’s Demon Pill and Qi Sea, slaying it.

The crimson blood of the Demon Monarch stained Lu Mingyuan’s hair and robes.

The sky over the Wilderness was desolate. The earth was cracked and dry, utterly lifeless and steeped in gloom.

The Holy Netherworld was much the sa. As far as the eye could see, there was only a vast expanse of darkness, with a single blood moon hanging high in the sky.

Only this side of the Great Wall belonged to the sunlit Mortal World.

The contrast was stark. One side was light and life; the other, a hellish abyss.

Lu Mingyuan held his saber, pointing it toward the abyss. His grim, world-weary face was reflected on its bloodstained edge.

"Kill!"

Lu Mingyuan roared. He lifted the Demon Ape’s head on his blade, swung his battle saber, and charged onward, radiating the tyrannical aura of a world-conquering sovereign.

A great stir ran through the ranks of the Human Race. Droves of powerful warriors rushed to the ramparts to provide aid, gathering on a mist-shrouded Spirit Mountain to the west of the Great Wall.

"Since when did our Human Race have a Martial Saint?"

"Who is he?"

"Could he be the one from the Great Yan Martial Temple?"

As everyone watched, more and more bodies fell to Lu Mingyuan’s saber. A river of blood soon flowed, and the corpses gradually piled into three grisly mounds.

The mounds were topped with the heads of Demon Fiends, a horrifying sight that struck fear into the hearts of any nearby.

For miles in every direction, not a single fiend or demon dared to show itself.

At that mont, Lu Mingyuan felt a new, faint and epheral presence stirring within him.

His bottleneck had begun to loosen.

Lu Mingyuan, however, was quite perplexed.

He hadn’t plundered the Destiny of the two worlds, yet his own was being nourished in return.

After so thought, he ford a guess.

The Northern Great Wall had an extraordinary history. For tens of thousands of years, it had been a place guarded by generations of Cultivators. The Destiny of all the Cultivators in the world converged here. By becoming the center of attention in such a place, one would naturally receive a considerable blessing of Destiny.

In other words,

the people who lived here could receive the power and Destiny of their deceased ancestors, allowing them to beco stronger than before!

Even the Three Religions had to expend their power to fill the vacancies here. brainstorm

The number of Cultivators in the world who could break through to the Upper Three Grades was always limited. Perhaps the constant need to garrison the Great Wall was a major reason for this.

If that was the case, who first built this Great wall?

And what happened at the very beginning of it all?

For now, Lu Mingyuan couldn’t figure out the answers to these questions.

What he needed to do now was shatter his bottleneck and officially step into the Martial Saint Realm.

As the Demon Fiends at the foot of the Great Wall were gradually cleared away, a cold, ethereal, and imperious voice echoed from the void to the north. "Where did this Human Race Martial Artist co from, daring to kill so many of my kin?"

An incredibly handso man with a noble air, clad in blood-red armor etched with Demon Patterns, erged from the void. A pair of crimson, fleshy wings grew from his back, and space itself rippled with his every step.

He was powerful—so powerful that his presence was suffocating.

"Human, your blood must be quite nourishing."

As the Blood Armor Man sneered, he revealed two sharp fangs.

Lu Mingyuan stated calmly, "You must be from the Blood Race, one of the Ten Underworld Races. This is my first ti seeing one of you. You truly are repulsive to look at."

"You’re courting death!"

The Blood Armor Man’s expression twisted, becoming incredibly ugly.

"Taiyin Divine Technique, Boiling Sun Demon Hand."

The next second, he pointed a finger to the sky. A massive crimson vortex appeared, and roiling blood coalesced into a giant hand that clawed down toward Lu Mingyuan.

His opponent’s aura was far stronger than the Demon Monarch’s; he was definitely an existence of the Upper Three Grades.

"Dragon Transformation, activate!"

Lu Mingyuan didn’t just wait to be slaughtered. He got serious, transforming back into a handso, heroic-looking man. Every single strand of his hair pulsed with Destructive Qi Force. His long black hair whipped in the wind as a terrifying Sword Intent surged outward, forming an invisible Sword Domain.

"Thunder Prison Saber Scripture, First Form: Thunder-Painted Sky."

Lu Mingyuan vanished from his spot, instantly cleaving the massive blood-red hand in two, along with the Blood Armor Man’s body.

However, he quickly discovered that bloody tendrils were already sprouting from the sundered halves of the Blood Armor Man’s body, stitching him back together.

"With the blessing of the Lord Heavenly God, you cannot kill ."

The Blood Armor Man laughed arrogantly.

’The Lord Heavenly God’s blessing?’

’Who is this Celestial God?’

’Could it be one of the twelve Evil Gods of the Holy Netherworld?’

Lu Mingyuan guessed inwardly.

As he pondered, a frantic voice transmission reached him. "Senior, run! That’s the Great Nether Divine Venerable! You’re no match for him!"

Lu Mingyuan had just frowned, thinking, ’This guy dares to call himself a Divine Venerable?’

SQUELCH!

In that instant, his chest was pierced by an incredibly bizarre, black, willow-like tentacle that had shot out of the void with ferocious speed.

A strange Demonic Qi that even his Celestial Human Realm Flesh Body could not block began to spread from the wound.

Lu Mingyuan’s pupils contracted as he plumted from the sky.

He could feel his life force rapidly fading away.

’I wanted to explore the borders of this world, to seek the truth of it all.’

’It seems... I’m still not strong enough.’

’To think a dignified Divine Venerable would resort to a sneak attack...’

’It’s a pity I still haven’t reached the Martial Saint Realm.’

’But at least I found the thod for Breaking Realm and gained a vast wealth of insights into Martial Dao Cultivation below the Martial Saint Realm. The harvest was still bountiful.’

’If I can return to the outside world, my Cultivation will surely be twice as effective with half the effort.’

’It’s not so bad to die here, either. I can beco one of the Heroic Spirits and sleep eternally within the Great Wall.’

’I should have moved on to my second life sooner...’

’Miss Yun must have been waiting for a long ti.’

’The Six-Yao Turtle Shell didn’t activate...’

’Clearly... I really am inside the Scroll World.’

’This death should only be an illusion...’

’Still, the feeling of dying... is truly unpleasant...’
