"Do I really annoy you that much?"
Staring straight at the undisguised impatience in Qin Fan’s eyes, Xu Jiayi bit her lip as tears welled up.
"Yes! So get lost and stop following !" Even though Xu Jiayi was known as the belle of Qi Middle School, Qin Fan wasn’t interested in her in the slightest.
With that, he turned and continued on his way.
But to his surprise, his cold, indifferent words failed to deter her; she simply kept following him.
"Qin Fan, you weren’t like this before!" she said, her voice trembling slightly as she maintained a distance of two paces.
"Are you ever going to quit? How shaless can you be? I’m not interested in you! Do you understand plain language?" He had intended to ignore her, but with soone tailing him so persistently, Qin Fan couldn’t help but grow annoyed. He whirled around to face her.
"Do you have to be so heartless? I just want to buy you a coffee. Can’t you even give that chance?"
Despite being the privileged daughter of a high-ranking official, the usually haughty and proud Xu Jiayi seed completely unfazed by Qin Fan’s humiliating remarks. She simply pleaded with her pitiful, doe-like eyes.
Coffee?
Qin Fan took a deep breath. He knew all too well that this so-called coffee invitation was based on the power he had just displayed. How could he be oblivious to Xu Jiayi’s shaless scheming?
"Sorry, I don’t like coffee! So, stop fucking following ! Have so self-respect, and don’t wait for to humiliate you!" he said coldly, his tone unchanged and his face expressionless.
"Then what do you like to drink? We can go together!" Xu Jiayi suggested.
Damn it! Is she really incapable of understanding plain language?
"I don’t feel like drinking anything! I’m not interested in you, not in the slightest! Got it?" Qin Fan shook his head with a derisive snort.
But as the words left his mouth, Xu Jiayi suddenly made a move that left his mind utterly blank.
Ignoring his disdainful rejection, she bit her lip with determination and threw herself at him.

His mind went completely blank from the unexpected cliché, and he froze in shock.

Shaking his head to clear it, Qin Fan shoved Xu Jiayi away.
His face darkened as he barked, "Are you insane?"
"Qin Fan, that was my first kiss. I gave it to you!" Uncaring of his thunderous expression, Xu Jiayi looked at him with deep affection.
"Heh, and what’s next? Planning to give your first night, too?" Qin Fan sneered, his eyes filled with unconcealed disdain.
"If you dare to take it, I dare to give it! I trust you’ll take responsibility!" Xu Jiayi nodded, her expression dead serious.
"You’re crazy," he scoffed indifferently.
With a dismissive wave of his hand, he ignored her completely, flagged down a taxi, and got in.
Watching the taxi speed away, Xu Jiayi clenched her little fists and stamped her foot. Not ready to give up just yet, she hailed another cab and quickly followed him.
"Hey, young man, is that your girlfriend following us?" the driver chuckled, having seen the whole exchange and noticing the cab hot on their heels. "Having a fight? Co on, us guys can be stubborn, but don’t be too proud. Sotis you just have to coax them!"
Qin Fan paused for a mont, then simply shook his head with a silent smile, offering no explanation.
Seeing from the rearview mirror that his passenger wasn’t interested in conversation, the driver smacked his lips and wisely dropped the subject. "By the way, you haven’t told where you’re going."
"The Half Mountain Villa District," Qin Fan said, then closed his eyes.

As Qin Fan stepped out of the taxi and walked toward the entrance of the Half Mountain Villa District, the guards imdiately stiffened, lining up to salute him in unison. Deep in their eyes was a profound sense of trepidation.
"Stop that girl behind . Don’t let her in," Qin Fan said, glancing at them briefly.
"We will complete the mission, Young Master Qin!" Receiving a rare direct order from Qin Fan felt like a blessing. The guards stood ramrod straight, their heads held high as they shouted their reply.
With a slight nod, Qin Fan started up the cobblestone-paved mountain road.
Outside the villa district, Xu Jiayi tossed a hundred-yuan bill at the driver, telling him to keep the change. She scrambled out of the car and, seeing Qin Fan already on the road ahead, broke into a run toward the entrance.
"Stop! Unauthorized entry is prohibited!" a guard at the gate shouted, blocking her path.
"He’s my classmate! I’m here to see him!" Xu Jiayi said urgently, pointing at Qin Fan’s retreating back.
"Without instructions from a resident, we cannot let you pass. Those are the rules," the guard stated flatly.
"Damn it!" Xu Jiayi cursed under her breath. Asking Qin Fan to authorize my entry? Is that even possible?
The thought was infuriating. Her, the esteed Miss Xu, daughter of the provincial departnt’s second-in-command—a woman whom countless powerful figures fawned over—was being blocked by a re security guard? Miss Xu felt like exploding, but she feared it would further tarnish her image in Qin Fan’s eyes, so she had no choice but to swallow her anger.
But then, to her surprise, the situation took an abrupt turn.
The guards who were blocking her suddenly snapped to attention, raising their hands in a crisp salute. Looking past her, they shouted, "Mr. Qin, Mrs. Qin!"
Mr. Qin? Mrs. Qin? Qin Fan’s parents?
Filled with a sudden glimr of hope, Xu Jiayi quickly spun around.
"What’s going on here?" Wei Shuying asked with a confused frown, pointing at Xu Jiayi.
"Mrs. Qin, Young Master Qin instructed us to stop her! For the security of the district, we must follow the residents’ orders," a guard explained.
She’s here for Fan? And he ordered the guards to stop her?
"And you are?" Qin Chu asked, pausing as he looked at Xu Jiayi.
"Hello, Uncle and Auntie. I’m Xu Jiayi, Qin Fan’s classmate," she said politely, flashing a pure smile.
"Fan’s classmate? Then why did he tell the guards to stop you?" Wei Shuying asked, puzzled.
"I wanted to co and visit your ho, but he wouldn’t let ," Xu Jiayi said with a convincing, pitiful pout.
The sight made Qin Chu and Wei Shuying feel a pang of pity. She was just a classmate who wanted to visit. What was the big deal? Back when they lived in that rundown urban village, it would have been one thing, but now they were in No. 1 Villa! What was there to be embarrassed about?
"Haha! Don’t worry about it. If that naughty boy won’t bring you, Auntie will! You’re Jiayi, right? Just co with us," Wei Shuying said magnanimously, waving her hand with a generous smile.
"Mr. Qin, Mrs. Qin, but—" the guard began, looking troubled.
But before Qin Chu or Wei Shuying could respond, a Maybach driving out from inside the complex screeched to a halt beside them. The chairman of so corporation jumped out of the car in a hurry.
His eyes widened as he looked at Xu Jiayi, and he exclaid in surprise, "Miss Xu! It’s you! What are you doing here?"
