"I am going directly to the restaurant. I am absolutely starving." Bai Xifeng answered honestly, rubbing her stomach dramatically to emphasise her self-inflicted suffering.
"Oh? We are heading there as well. Let us walk together." Xie Zixin added naturally, smoothly offering her an easy, graceful escape from the highly unpleasant confrontation.
"Alright." Bai Xifeng nodded without even a second of hesitation before turning her head back toward Liu Jun one final ti. "Please excuse , Your Highness, the Crown Prince."
Liu Jun could clearly hear the thick, heavy, and completely unbothered sarcasm dripping from Bai Xifeng’s tone. His expression darkened significantly, his fragile royal pride deeply wounded as he watched her casually prepare to leave with other n without sparing him so much as another glance.
"Are you alright?" Xie Yanlin asked in a low, protective tone after they had walked a considerable distance away from the lingering, brooding prince.
"Of course I am." Bai Xifeng waved her hand casually, dismissing the entire encounter as though it were completely insignificant before adding with her usual blunt honesty, "Well, to be fair, if the two of you had not shown up when you did, I might have lost my remaining patience and ended up beating him up right there on the path."
Xie Zixin nearly burst out laughing after hearing that fiercely practical, aggressive response.
"You really do not have any lingering feelings left for him anymore?" Xie Zixin asked curiously, his dark eyes gleaming with genuine interest as he leaned slightly closer to catch her reaction.
Bai Xifeng imdiately raised one eyebrow and shot him a completely flat, deadpan look. "Do you honestly think my taste in n is that inherently terrible?"
"Well..." Xie Yanlin replied calmly, a faint, highly amused glint flashing briefly through his eyes, "You did indeed like him very much in the past. The entire city practically knew about your infatuation."
"That is true." Bai Xifeng nodded honestly, without denying her past actions in the slightest. "But I have already changed. I woke up. So no, I do not like him anymore, and I definitely will never like soone like him again in the future."
Her tone was firm, clear, and completely decisive. There was not even the slightest trace of hesitation, underlying regret, or hidden longing remaining within her voice anymore. She was entirely, irrevocably done with him.
"Fine... Fine... Do not get angry over sothing so utterly trivial." Xie Yanlin said helplessly, raising his hands in a mock gesture of surrender.
Soon afterwards, the three of them finally arrived at the warm doors of the campus restaurant. Even though it was currently the peak of lunchti, the spacious restaurant was not particularly crowded. Most high-achieving students preferred taking standard fasting pills before directly returning to their isolated cultivation chambers, instead of wasting precious ti sitting down and eating proper als. Only a much smaller number of students who genuinely enjoyed the flavour of the food still regularly ca to the restaurant.
The mont they entered the dining hall, they imdiately spotted several other mbers of the Xie Family already seated nearby, including the lively duos of Xie Fengge and Xie Gingge.
The instant Xie Gingge noticed Bai Xifeng’s arrival, she imdiately jumped up and rushed excitedly toward her.
"Sister Xifeng!" Xie Gingge greeted happily, her energy instantly brightening the mood.
"Hmm... You are here to eat too?" Bai Xifeng replied casually, her tone softening slightly.
"Yes! We were just about to start eating. Sister Xifeng, let us all eat together," Xie Gingge invited enthusiastically, pointing toward their large table.
"Sure. Let us eat together." Bai Xifeng nodded without any objection, her appetite taking precedence over all else.
Thus, the group headed over to purchase their desired food from the counter before selecting a large table together to accommodate the growing party.
Just as they were preparing to lift their chopsticks and begin eating, they suddenly saw a familiar, slightly frazzled Ning Shoukai walking into the restaurant.
"Shoukai, co join us." Xie Yanlin imdiately called out toward him, cutting through the low chatter of the room.
Ning Shoukai responded with a quick nod before heading off to buy his food first. Only afterwards did he carefully carry his heavily loaded tray over toward their table, dropping into an open seat.
"Eh? You are here too, Xifeng?" Ning Shoukai said in genuine surprise after finally noticing Bai Xifeng sitting comfortably among the various Xie Family mbers.
Earlier, he had completely failed to notice her because she had been entirely too focused on staring down at her food.
"Hmm..." Bai Xifeng responded lazily, swallowing a bite before suddenly asking, "Oh, right, are you planning to co over to my place again today?"
"Eh? Why are you going to Sister Xifeng’s place?" Xie Gingge imdiately asked curiously, her gaze bouncing between them.
Ning Shoukai instantly looked thoroughly traumatised the mont he heard the casual question.
"No way... If Lanying had not dragged there yesterday, I would not have suffered such a miserable, ungodly beating from her." Ning Shoukai shook his head dramatically while pointing an accusing, trembling finger toward Bai Xifeng.
"What exactly happened? I want to know." Xie Yanlin asked imdiately, his curiosity piqued.
The others at the table also perked up their ears with obvious, mounting interest.
"Well, I sparred with them yesterday. Nothing particularly special." Bai Xifeng casually summarised the entire intense matter with an extrely simplified, modest explanation.
"It was two against one!" Ning Shoukai imdiately corrected her loudly, wanting justice. "She fought both of us at the exact sa ti and still won decisively."
"Well, that sounds completely normal for Xifeng." Xie Zixin responded smoothly, without even sounding mildly surprised by her monstrous capabilities.
