When one of them tried to lie down, he suddenly jerked upright with a loud scream.
"Ah!!!" One of the people shouted.

"Good morning, Tao-chan." Bai Xifeng rubbed Taotie’s head.
"I am hungry," Taotie said.

Bai Xifeng imdiately jumped down. The thud woke the group below. She was surprised to see the group of them. They were also surprised. They stared back, equally startled.
"Sorry that I woke you guys up. I don’t know that you are here." Bai Xifeng apologised.
"It’s fine. You are here first. We ca after you." One of them waved his hands.
"We did not an to disturb you. We just thought this place was safe. No beast cos and attacks us." Another one chid in.
Bai Xifeng glanced over at Taotie. The beasts probably did not dare to co closer due to Taotie’s aura.
"It’s fine." Bai Xifeng shook her head.
Then, while they were talking, they suddenly heard the announcent stating that the test was finally over.
"The test is over. Get ready to transfer out of this world."
Everyone was happy.
’Tao-chan, are you going to transfer out with ?’ Bai Xifeng asked.
’Of course, we have already ford the contract ritual.’ Taotie said.
’Hmm... You should go and stay inside the contracted beast space for a while." Bai Xifeng suggested.
She seed not convinced that Taotie would leave this world with her since Taotie was from this world.
’Fine... Fine... Taotie disappeared.
The countdown began. When it hit zero, everyone still alive was transported out. So were covered in injuries, so looked like they’d been dragged through a battlefield, and so were like Bai Xifeng, stood steady and calm.
Everyone looked at each other. About half of the people who entered the world had already passed away. aning they had died in the world. Bai Xifeng looked around, searching for the familiar faces.
When Bai Xifeng’s eyes fell on them, her face instantly showed a relieved expression. Her elixirs were not wasted. Yang Mingyu and Zhu Xiaohui managed to survive after she left.
Then, Bai Xifeng rembered Taotie. ’Tao-chan, are you there?’ She called.
No answer.
Her heart tightened. She called again and again.
’Stop calling . I am exhausted. I have no energy right now. I want to eat.’ Taotie’s voice ca through.
Bai Xifeng was relieved when she heard the voice.
Then, the sa man who spoke before they entered the test appeared again in front of everyone.
"Welco back. Now, you have to submit the cores that you have gathered in the test." The man said.
"Wait a minute. Are you really telling that my brother died in that world and can not be resurrected?" Soone asked.
"I already told you before the test. Once you died there, you died. You understood that and entered that world." The man said.
"But..." The boy was shaking.
"You have the choice, and you make the choice. The decision was in your hands." The man said.
Ignoring further protest, the man continued, "I will call your nas. Step forward and place your cores here."
Sothing appeared beside the man. It was like a counting machine. The man took out the list.
