"Keep driving forward, don’t worry about it," Man Luo said.

Qing’Er slamd the gas pedal, and the car sped up again, reaching almost 120 km/h. At such speed in the downtown area, it’s perilous. Fortunately, it was past rush hour, and there weren’t many vehicles out at night; otherwise, they might crash even if Jinye didn’t catch them.

Qing’Er accelerated, and Jinye’s group sped up as well. Man Luo was the only leverage they had to threaten Lin Mu, and they couldn’t let her get away. Bang, bang, bang. Qing’Er’s car shook, clearly being ramd by Jinye’s car from behind several tis.

"Sister Manluo, if this keeps up, they’ll catch up with us sooner or later. We need to think of a plan," Qing’Er said while driving.

As for plans, there really weren’t any good options. The only choice was to run away; fighting was not an option.

Man Luo contemplated for a mont, then pulled out a handgun, opened the window, and leaned out to shoot backward.

Bang, bang, bang, several shots fired, bullets hitting the car behind. One of the cars was blown up by Man Luo’s bullet, crashing to the roadside.

But there were still three or four cars relentlessly pursuing. Blowing up one car wasn’t very effective.

Bang, bang, bang, more shots fired, but they had little effect, just widening the distance between them slightly. But this short distance wasn’t enough to shake off the pursuers.

Man Luo emptied two clips of bullets, and due to the urgency, she hadn’t brought much ammunition. Now that she’d run out of ammo, she was left helpless.

Without the delay of bullets, Jinye’s car quickly caught up again with fervor, continually ramming Qing’Er and Man Luo’s car. Bang, a gunshot sounded from behind. Man Luo glanced in the rearview mirror — from the passenger seat, Uro Iji was leaning out the window, aiming a shot at her.

Man Luo understood Uro Iji’s marksmanship and inwardly cursed, realizing trouble was imminent. The next second, a tire burst echoed, and the car swerved wildly, crashing toward the roadside, the steering wheel evidently no longer responsive; up ahead was a large bridge, and the car slamd into the bridge’s guardrail.

The violent collision injured both Man Luo and Qing’Er, but these injuries were minor to them.

With the car disabled, their only option was to get out; otherwise, surrounded by Jinye’s people, escape would be impossible.

"Qing’Er, quickly get out of the car," Man Luo said while hastily unbuckling her seatbelt, stumbling out of the car. Fortunately, the door wasn’t stuck.

They opened the car door and stepped out, as a flurry of screeching brakes sounded, and cars rapidly lined up next to Qing’Er and Man Luo. Jinye and Uro Iji got out of their car first.

Jinye glared at Man Luo, sneering coldly, "Man Luo, where do you think you’re running off to?"

"Sister Manluo, you go first; I’ll hold them back here," Qing’Er said determinedly, pulling out a dagger and charging at Jinye.

Qing’Er moved incredibly fast, using all her strength.

Bang, bang, two gunshots — Qing’Er hadn’t even reached Jinye before collapsing to her knees. Sohow, Uro Iji’s hand already held a gun, his skill almost superhuman, seamlessly drawing, aiming, firing, all within a second, striking Qing’Er’s legs, demonstrating his extraordinary marksmanship.

Qing’Er knelt on the ground, blood flowing like springs from her legs.

"Qing’Er," Man Luo cried out.

"Sister Manluo, run fast. Don’t let all we sisters sacrificed be in vain." Qing’Er furrowed her brows and earnestly pleaded, looking at Man Luo.

"Grab her," Jinye said coldly.

At that mont, Qing’Er spun around urgently, summoning her last strength, lunged at the approaching two ninjas.

But, Qing’Er’s effort was futile. The two ninjas wielding Eastern Sabers pierced through her abdon.

"Qing’Er!" Man Luo cried out, tears streaming down her face.

A trickle of blood flowed from Qing’Er’s mouth, her complexion turned pale instantly, but she held tightly onto the ninjas’ sleeves. Then, she forced a smile at Man Luo, "Man... Luo... Sister, go... quickly..."

She said this and closed her eyes, hanging her head down.

"Qing’Er..." Man Luo scread, her eyes reddened, tears flowing down.

"Quickly, seize her," Jinye ordered again.

The ninjas shook Qing’Er off and charged toward Man Luo.

"Qing’Er, I will avenge you," Man Luo declared, then turned, cloaked herself, and plunged into the river below.

Jinye rushed to the riverside, smacked his hands heavily against the guardrail, watching the rushing river beneath his feet, "Little brat, see if you can survive!"

anwhile, in the East District of Wancheng, after dinner, Lin Mu was watching an annoyingly lengthy Korean drama with the ladies. He wondered how many hundreds of episodes those dramas had — it seed they would never end.

At that mont, Lin Mu’s phone rang.

Seeing the incoming call, Lin Mu couldn’t help but feel delighted — it was Man Luo, after all. Despite her stubbornness, she couldn’t forget him. It’s only been a few days, and she’s already calling.

"Hey, girl, I miss you, hurry back," Lin Mu said, picking up the phone.

"Haha, I guess now I can’t co back," a man’s voice said.

"Who is this?" Lin Mu’s excitent imdiately turned to coldness. This was Man Luo’s phone, but another person was calling; Man Luo must be in trouble!

"Lin Mu, have you forgotten so quickly? Hahaha..." the man laughed, arrogantly.

Lin Mu recognized the voice instantly, hearing the man’s laughter, and quickly realized who was on the other end.

"Jinye."

"Haha, good, you can still recognize my voice," Jinye chuckled.

Lin Mu was in no mood to banter with Jinye, and asked, "Why do you have Man Luo’s phone? Where is she?"

"I suppose you’re not a fool, right?" Jinye said.

"Just say what you plan to do," Lin Mu understood Jinye wanted to use Man Luo to threaten him.

"Haha, not planning anything. If you want Man Luo to live, you should co to the East once. I’ll be waiting for your esteed visit there. If you can’t co, well, sorry, Man Luo might... haha, I don’t want to speak ugly words; you’re smart enough to figure it out," Jinye said with a laugh.
