I wanted to try, but really... I couldn’t really joke around anymore.

Lily stripped off what remained of my torn, blood-soaked clothes.
Her hands hesitated only a mont when she saw the full extent of the damage; those bruised purple-black lines across every inch of my skin, so deep cuts, the underside of one of my breast sliced open in a long red line, crimson bumps and scratches zigzagging my torso and limbs like a map of violence.
Seeing it, her hands trembled harder.
I knew that I was really hurt; but even I was a bit taken aback by my injuries.
Lily broke into fresh tears again, louder and streaming this ti, while she began applying the healing essences and whispering spells.
Her healing magic could only seal the worst of the wounds, not repair the deep internal damage. That would take ti.
So the essence and healing items would be best for now.
After so ti, she lifted , the small and broken thing that I was, and carried onto her bed. The crimson sheets imdiately stained darker beneath from my blood.
Then she began proper healing magic.
Lily was a powerhouse when it ca to magic.
What would take ordinary mages or clinical healers months, she would compress into hours.
So, for three long excruciating hours she worked on , with her hands glowing soft gold, her voice low and steady even through her tears.
She was occupied pouring mana into every shattered bone, every torn organ, and every ruptured vessel.
Finally, the worst of the pain receded to a dull, throbbing ache only.
Now calr, I tried to speak.
"Lily... uhm... I’m very sorry to worry yo—"
"Just shut up!!"
She yelled it with a trembling voice and threw herself forward, hugging so tightly that fresh pain flared through my ribs.
But I didn’t care. It was a small price to feel the warmth of family again.
"I’ve warned you about this many tis," she sobbed into my shoulder, "but you keep disobeying !"
I stayed quiet, only looking away.
"Usagi, look at !"
She grabbed my face with both hands, though gentle despite the tremble in her fingers, and forced my gaze to hers.
"Just quit. I’m begging you. I lost my husband this way. Your father was lost this way. Even my father Leorin was lost this way too. Please... just stay with at ho. Leave the field—"
"I’m sorry," I said firmly. "I can’t do that."
"...But why?"
I turned to her finally, the tears... the tears pouring out of was like a broken dam. But I still forced a smile.
I am Usagi of the Khanna Tribe of Leorin... I am Silver Shadow... I should not cry. At least, not in front of my family.
"Because, Your Majesty," I answered, "If I don’t fight every day like this, who will? It’s scary... very terrifying sotis. And I could wind up dead too... but the thought of you and the others being safe because of what I do for the kingdom? It is enough to make embrace the pain."
Still weeping, Lily began to glow golden, then she began to strip.
When she was naked, she embraced quietly. This was one of her abilities drawn from the light attribute: she was healing my spirit and heart now...
Returning back to my cheerful self... because she realized that I must be ntally distraught and traumatized.
"You’ll stain yourself in my blood," I murmured.
"Oh, be silent!" she nudges lightly, "Whenever you return from battle... please, et first: we can lick your wounds together okay?"
I managed a mischievous smile, "Lick my wounds? Lily-chan no ecchi!"
"Y-You know what I ant!"
"I know, I know..." I nuzzled my head into her chest... it was warm, "I love you, Lily..."
Her embraced tightened a little as she whispered back, "I love you more... Usagi..."
BANG!
The door flew opened—
"Mother, it will soon be ti for the festival of Benjamin... Mark... Aaahhhh!!!"
Ugh, Silverøse barged in.
"Wh... What is this?! Blood!" she was very shaken, pale, with her bunny ears trembling, "Why is there so much blood! Is Usagi hurt?!"
Lily had already beco confused and torn, not knowing how to explain the circumstances.
Sigh. What an awful mother; to not know how your own daughter operates...
I turned to Silverøse and smiled;
"It’s okay, Oka-sama." I said in Usagi-chan’s innocent tone, "I and Oba-sama wee only playing around. None of us are hurt."
"Really?" she imdiately went back to normal, so air-headed, "Then why was Mother so flustered when I ca in? Anyway, it is ti for the festival to begin."
She put a hand on her waist and pointed the other at , "And you young lady: get dressed!"
"Haiiii~" I leaped off the bed, running to her.
"Goodness, you aren’t a kid anymore! Why are you even naked? And... doesn’t that sll like real blood?"
"It’s chicken blood, Oka-sama!"
Then an idea sparked in my mind:
"Hey, Oka-sama, I think the fox princesses will try to play with Benjamin Mark-sama; should we sabotage it?"
Her face suddenly went crimson:
"D-Don’t say such vulgar things, Usagi..." she looked away, her brows furrowed. So cute, "W-We could watch behind bushes... but no interrupting the princesses, okay?! I doubt they will even do sothing so lewd in the first place."
"Don’t you an; you PRAY they do sothing lewd?"
"You’ve been growing rather brazen these days, you little girl," she whined as she pulled my cheek.
As we bantered and left the chamber—

I assured the exhausted Princess Lily, and went to expose the debauchery happening in the lake of Twin Moons., with one certain truth in mind: Benjamin Mark will have an even greater impact in Elyndor...
I’m certain—if not now or sooner, then one faithful day—the world might clash and be destroyed because of him... I’ll have to keep a much closer eye on him now.
