ELLA.
I walked back to my room in silence, my thoughts still tangled with irritation and disbelief from what had just happened in the kitchen.
Without thinking twice, I pushed the door shut behind and threw myself onto my bed.
The mattress sank slightly under my weight, but it did little to ease the storm building inside my chest.
For a few seconds, I just lay there staring at the ceiling, while breathing and trying to calm down, trying to make sense of everything that had unfolded.
Then I slowly turned to my side and reached for my phone.
Maybe distracting myself would help.
Maybe scrolling through sothing aningless would settle my mind.
I unlocked the screen and began scrolling through the internet absentmindedly, not expecting anything important.
But then, my fingers stopped, as sothing caught my attention...sothing that made my entire body go still.
My brows furrowed as I slowly sat up.
"What...?"
I blinked once, and then again, because there it was—Large bold hashtags flashing across the screen.
#BloodfangtwoLunas#
#TwoLunasCoLuna#
I stared at them, completely dumbfounded.
For a mont, my brain refused to process what I was seeing.
Those hashtags...didn’t make sense or rather, they made too much sense in the worst possible way.
My grip on the phone tightened as I clicked on the post—A public video loaded, and the mont it played, my stomach dropped.
It was Alexander Blake—his face, his voice and his presence.
All unmistakable.
He was speaking directly to the world, announcing that the Bloodfang Pack now had two Lunas.
Two.
Not one.
My breath hitched slightly as I listened further.
From his words, from the way he addressed the audience, he made it sound like sothing official, sothing settled and sothing unquestionable.
He even claid that I had chosen to stay, that I had decided to remain by his side and that I never left.
For a few seconds, I simply sat there frozen. My mind struggling to catch up with the words echoing in the video.
Then reality snapped back into place, and with it ca anger—hot and sharp.
I suddenly sat upright on the bed, my chest rising and falling much faster than before.
"What is wrong with him?" I muttered under my breath.
Without thinking, I tossed my phone aside onto the bed. It bounced slightly but I didn’t care.
My hands curled into fists as I stared blankly ahead.
Was Alex mad?
Was he seriously doing this?
My thoughts spiraled faster.
Was this his way of trying to stop the divorce?
Was he trying to manipulate public opinion so the court hearing would be cancelled?
The more I thought about it, the more ridiculous it beca.
My jaw tightened.
He couldn’t just do whatever he wanted, especially not after everything.
I leaned forward abruptly, grabbed my phone again, and opened the comnt section with the intention of typing sothing sharp and harsh.
Sothing that would make people question the narrative he was pushing.
My fingers hovered over the screen, ready...but before I could type a single word....
A ssage notification popped up.
Michael.
I paused.
Slowly, I opened it.
> Beauty, are you feeling well? I know you didn’t co to work today because everyone now realises who you are but don’t panic, I will protect you!
I stared at the ssage and then scoffed.
Of course they would realize.
Alexander had made sure of that.
He had attached my picture everywhere.
All those years I spent with him—five long years—he had kept hidden, unknown and unseen.
Only a handful of people had ever known what I looked like.
He never took to important events, and never publicly acknowledged . He didn’t even let work in his company.
And now suddenly...this?
Now he wanted the world to see ?
My fingers tightened around the phone again, irritation flaring up once more.
And then my eyes flicked back to the ssage.
"Beauty?"
I frowned.
When did Michael start calling that?
My lips pressed into a thin line as with.
"Arrrrghhhhh!" The scream tore out of my throat before I could stop it.
It echoed around the room, raw and uncontrolled, bouncing off the walls as if the sound itself couldn’t find anywhere to settle.
My chest rose and fell rapidly as I clenched my fists tightly, as everything felt like too much at once.
I hadn’t replied to Micheal’s previous ssages from yesterday, and neither did I care about the one he had just sent.
My mind had already shut it out completely. All my focus, every fragnt of my attention, had snapped back to Alexander.
Back to the chaos he had just created.
Back to the way he was twisting everything again, like he always did when things didn’t go his way.
No matter what stunt he was trying to pull now, it didn’t change anything.
It didn’t change the truth.
It didn’t change my decision.
We were still getting that divorce.
Even if he suddenly seed desperate to avoid it, even if he was trying to rewrite reality in front of everyone.
Wasn’t he the one who chose Eva in the first place?
Wasn’t he the one who pushed aside without hesitation?
So why now?
Why make everything complicated for when he was the one who started it all?
My breathing turned uneven again, my grip on the edge of the bed tightened as frustration boiled inside .
Then slowly, my hands moved down to my stomach. I placed my palm there gently, protectively and almost instinctively.
A soft exhale escaped my lips, but it did nothing to calm the storm inside .
"My pup and I don’t want you anymore, Alex..." My voice broke slightly, but I forced myself to continue. "Just let us be!"
The words ca out louder this ti, filled with anger, hurt, and exhaustion all mixed together.
I didn’t even care how it sounded anymore, I just needed it out and I just needed him out of my head.
But before I could sink further into my thoughts, the door to my room suddenly swung open.
I flinched slightly.
Leonard stepped in.
The mont he saw , his expression changed instantly. Concern flashed across his face as he hurried toward without hesitation.
"Theresa!" he called out, pulling into a tight hug.
His arms wrapped firmly around , grounding in a way I didn’t even realize I needed.
"Are you fine?" he asked quickly, his voice low but urgent.
For a mont, I didn’t respond, as I simply stayed there in his embrace, trying to steady my breathing.
Trying to pull myself together.
But the anger and confusion were still there, sitting heavily in my chest.
"Don’t be scared, alright?" Leonard added softly, still holding . "I won’t let anyone separate us again."
His words were firm and certain, like a promise he fully intended to keep. Then he slowly pulled back just enough to look at .
His hands stayed on my shoulders as he t my eyes directly.
"I will help you get the divorce from that jerk," he said, his tone filled with conviction.
I blinked at him.
The words sank in slowly.
Then I shook my head slightly, confusion creeping in despite everything.
"How, Leonard?" I found myself asking.
My voice was quieter now, less explosive but still strained.
"Haven’t you seen the video...it’s going to make everything harder and more complicated."
The image of Alexander’s announcent flashed in my mind again, making my chest tighten.
Leonard didn’t respond imdiately, Instead, he pulled back into another hug. Tighter this ti and more reassuring.
Then he leaned back slightly and placed a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Just trust , Theresa," he said calmly, his tone steady as if he had already thought everything through. "Those videos..." he continued, "will disappear as though they never existed."
And sohow, hearing that didn’t calm the storm completely...but it made it feel just a little less impossible to survive.
