ALEX.
Life was slowly becoming a tornt without Ella by my side.
The mansion felt empty, and too quiet, and even my office, the one she rarely visits, no longer felt comfortable the way it used to.
Everywhere I turned, there was always sothing reminding of her—A cup she used, a file she once arranged for in my study.
The scent of her favorite perfu that still lingered faintly inside my car.
It was driving insane.
And the worst part?
I was slowly realizing how much Ella actually did for . She practically handled everything—my schedules, my als, my clothes and even the smallest things I never bothered paying attention to before.
Now that she was gone, every single absence scread loudly at .
I rubbed my forehead tiredly as I sat down on the couch.
Ella truly loved .
No one could convince otherwise.
A woman wouldn’t dedicate so much of herself to soone she didn’t love deeply.
Which ant—she couldn’t possibly leave completely...right?
I still have a spot in her heart, I just need to bring her back and convince her. Make her rember everything we had together.
That thought alone instantly gave hope.
Without wasting another second, I brought out my phone and started searching frantically.
> Five ways to win her heart back.
I scrolled quickly.
Then another search.
> Ways to ensure a divorce doesn’t pull through.
More articles appeared on the screen and I kept scrolling restlessly, reading one after another, trying to find sothing useful.
Sothing that would help fix this ss.
And then, one particular line caught my attention instantly.
> Remind her why she loved you in the first place.
I froze briefly.
Then slowly...a smile spread across my face.
That was it.
Of course, Ella loved too much. She used to stare at my face endlessly like I was the most important person in her world.
Sotis I would catch her looking at absentmindedly and yet she wouldn’t look away.
Back then, I never understood how precious those monts were.
But now?
I finally did.
And if she once loved that deeply...then I just needed to make her fall in love with all over again.
The thought alone filled with excitent.
A satisfied smile widened across my lips.
Ella just needed to see constantly, be around , rember and eventually...she would return to on her own.
Without hesitation, I mind linked Philip.
He appeared almost imdiately.
"Alpha Alex, you called for ," he said respectfully the mont he entered.
"Yes," I replied instantly.
I leaned back slightly, already imagining Ella’s reaction to everything I planned to do for her.
"Send more flowers to Ella every day," I ordered firmly. "And ensure people are positioned around her for protection twenty-four hours a day."
Philip nodded imdiately.
But then I rembered how sensitive Ella was. She was very detailed.
"Oh," I added quickly. "Ella is too sensitive, make sure they protect her from a distance, she must not notice them."
"Yes, Alpha," Philip answered.
But the smug smile forming on his face instantly irritated .
Honestly, that idiot looked like he wanted to laugh.
I almost picked up the nearest thing beside to throw at his head.
But as though he already sensed my thoughts, he bowed quickly and disappeared from the office imdiately.
Coward.
I exhaled softly and leaned back again.
My thoughts drifted back to Ella almost instantly.
I imagined her receiving the flowers. Imagined the look on her face when she eventually discovered I had been secretly protecting her all this while.
She would definitely realize how much I truly cared for her.
Back then, I had been blind, too foolish and too distracted.
I hurt her repeatedly without realizing how precious she actually was to .
But now?
Now I was ready to fix everything, no matter what it took.
A soft smile unknowingly appeared across my lips.
"I love you, Ella," I murmured subconsciously.
The words echoed softly, and just then...
"What are you thinking about?"
My expression darkened instantly. I didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was.
Eva.
I exhaled sharply before finally lifting my gaze toward her.
She stood there quietly, one of her hands resting against her stomach while she stared at with an unreadable expression.
"What do you want Eva?" I asked coldly.
Eva gave a small shrug before stepping closer to et .
"Do I need to want anything?" she asked calmly. " Does your pregnant wife need to want sothing before she can see her precious husband?"
My jaw tightened instantly.
Honestly, I wasn’t in the mood for this.
"Eva—"
"No," she cut off imdiately. "Answer honestly, Alex." Her voice lowered slightly. "Do you not care about our child?"
I looked away briefly.
That question shouldn’t have been difficult to answer, but strangely...It was.
I care about the child, but I can’t while she is still carrying it, as it belongs to Ella and I.
After a few seconds of silence, Eva laughed softly.
A bitter laugh.
"That bad huh?" she muttered. "You have always and desperately wanted to be a father, and now I made that wish co true but you are going to ignore my child."
"Don’t start this drama," I said impatiently, standing up from my seat. "You are already pregnant, stress isn’t good for the baby."
Her gaze darkened slightly.
"You married because of the child, right?" she asked quietly. "And now you are regretting it because Ella finally left."
I clenched my fists instantly.
"Enough, Eva."
"Why?" she asked sharply. "Am I lying?"
She wasn’t, but I couldn’t let Eva start questioning my love for her. I needed to make her feel needed, until she gives birth, then she would answer to for daring to work with Thomas.
"You are Eva." I said firmly. "What’s with you suddenly bringing up Ella, have you forgotten it’s you I love." I added.
And instantly she went quiet, before adding.
"Then prove it to ." She paused. "I heard she is asking for a divorce....give it to her." She added firmly.
And I froze.
