"..." Mia Ginger was left speechless.
With a gentle cough, she asked, "What ti is it?"
As soon as she spoke, she realized her voice was so hoarse that it barely sounded like hers anymore.
"Nine thirty," Koa Jackson answered, imdiately standing up to get her so water.
Mia sat up, clutching the blanket.
She actually couldn’t sit up because her back was too sore, and she could only lean against Koa’s arm as he supported her.
She drank most of the glass of water in small sips, then lay back down.
Koa always got up early; he had already dressed himself at so point, placed the cup down, and asked her, "What do you want to eat?"
"I don’t want to eat anything," Mia replied.
"..." Koa chuckled, pinching her cheek. "At least eat sothing, I’ll make it for you."
"I haven’t even brushed my teeth yet." Mia pouted, feeling thoroughly aggrieved.
They did the sa thing, but Koa was the one who exerted effort, and yet he seed full of energy as if nothing happened.
Looking at herself, she might just cry thinking too much.
"Shall I carry you to brush your teeth then?" Koa asked patiently.
"I don’t want to put on clothes," Mia said helplessly again.
Too tired, her body ached; she didn’t have the strength to lift an arm, let alone get dressed.
"Then don’t wear any," Koa laughed, pulling out a soft robe from the closet, and reached to lift the quilt.
"What are you doing?" Mia reflexively asked, watching him with a wary expression.
"Nothing," Koa smiled helplessly. "With you like this, even if I wanted to do sothing, I wouldn’t have the heart to."
"Hmm." Mia pouted and bit her lip.
"Co here," Koa lifted the quilt, put the bathrobe on her, bent down, and picked her up entirely, carrying her to the bathroom.
Mia sat on the sink counter.
Holding a toothbrush in one hand, she tiredly brushed her teeth.
Mia glanced at him but didn’t want to pay him any attention.
After brushing her teeth, Koa carried her back and placed her on the bed.
He went to make breakfast.
Mia was lazy, sleepy, and uncomfortable; soon enough, she had drifted back to sleep.
Koa ca down again, waking her to eat breakfast.
In the afternoon, when the sun was at its best, the two of them went to the upper terrace to sit for a while, enjoying the breeze, just over half an hour, and then returned to the room.
