The cold dishes quickly arrived, arranged in a circle along the glass tabletop.

Each dish looked like a piece of art, ready to be featured on a food show.

Mia Ginger pursed her lips, her appetite piqued.

The group of people in the departnt exchanged glances, and a middle-aged Doctor was the first to stand up and say, "Co, let’s all toast to Dr. Jackson and Mia, wishing you a happy marriage and a blissful life."

"Happy newlyweds," the others chid in with smiles.

"Thank you."

Koa Jackson and Mia Ginger each said, taking a sip of the half glass of red wine.

Mia wasn’t much of a drinker, which Koa Jackson knew, but by the ti he wanted to stop her, it was too late. The little girl drank as if it were water, gulping it down.

Koa Jackson pressed his fingers to his forehead, sat down, and handed her a glass of tea, whispering, "Have so tea first."

"Hmm." Mia took the tea, tilted her head back, and finished half the glass.

Everyone started eating.

A few young nurses liked joking with Felix Lopez, always getting the best of him, and he would often seek help from his ntor, causing the group to burst into laughter.

Soon, the lively al ca to an end.

When they left the Imperial King Mansion, it was already past eight in the evening.

The nurses weren’t quite done having fun yet and thought of going to a nearby KTV to sing.

So older doctors weren’t interested, said goodbye to Koa Jackson, and left first.

At twenty-eight, Koa Jackson was actually still quite young, but being used to being serious and self-disciplined, he wasn’t interested in singing or clubbing, so he took Mia Ginger and headed ho.

Both had been drinking, so they didn’t go to the hospital to get the car, planning instead to stay at the apartnt outside the hospital.

Koa Jackson wasn’t tipsy from the red wine, but Mia couldn’t handle it. After a couple of struggling steps alongside him, she stopped, frowning, "Dr. Jackson, can you stop swaying; my eyes are going blurry."

Koa Jackson also paused, looking helpless, and said, "I’m not swaying."

"You are." Mia stood on her tiptoes, pinching his cheek, "See, swaying again."

"You’re drunk," Koa Jackson said.

"No," Mia said with a swing of her arm as she walked away, "Who says I’m drunk, off with their head a hundred tis."

Koa Jackson: "..."

Seeing he wasn’t speaking, Mia pouted, huffed, and twisting her head, she swaggered along.

As she walked, she began to sing.

It was a very old song.

She started singing right from the climax, "Forgive my unrestrained life, loving freedom, yet fearing one day I will fall. Abandon the ideals, anyone can. What’s there to fear if only you and I remain..."

Koa Jackson watched her back and suddenly thought this girl must really love this song.

Her pronunciation was spot on.

He never expected, this little girl had this side to her.

As he was thinking, Mia Ginger suddenly exclaid, and fell to the ground.

"..." Koa Jackson was stunned for a second, then hurried to help her up, suppressing a laugh, saying, "Even walking, you can trip."

"The road’s uneven." Mia looked at him with teary eyes.

Koa Jackson chuckled, "I’ll carry you back."

Mia uttered an "Hmm," and Koa Jackson bent down, lifted her up in his arms, and walked unhurriedly toward the apartnt complex.

The bustling night scene stretched alongside the road. As he carried her, it felt as if there were only the two of them in the world, strolling amidst such flowing and changing lights, so easily they could be lost in ti.

Mia was very light, and Koa never found it tiring to carry her.

In no ti, they reached the apartnt.

Mia was dizzy and giggling all the way.

Koa carried her straight to the bedroom, placed her on the bed, and took a robe to the bathroom for a shower.

Halfway through the shower, the bathroom door was suddenly opened by soone.

Mia peeked at him through the glass door, her face silly, and after a while, pouted, "I want to shower too."

"..." Koa Jackson turned off the water, feeling a bit disarrayed and a little awkward, his voice low, "Go out first, shower in the morning."

"No." Mia said, pulling open the glass door and squeezing under the shower, looking up, "There’s enough space, let’s shower together."

Koa Jackson: "..."

As Mia spoke, she turned the knob, and the warm water gushed down, soaking all her clothes.

She suddenly froze, looking bewildered at Koa Jackson.

Koa Jackson also looked at her in disarray.

He gazed at her, his deep, dark eyes darkening further, as he placed a hand on her shoulder, whispering in the rushing water against her ear, "Little One, you brought this on yourself."

"Oh." Mia tugged at her shirt, confused, "Feels uncomfortable."

The wet clothes clung to her, making her really uncomfortable.
