Mia waited in the lobby for quite a while, playing with Chancellor for half the day, before she saw Aurora coming out from inside with a handbag, surprised.
Aurora looked very pretty, even with light makeup on.

Now she was wearing a modified long cheongsam with a mandarin collar in moon white inside, and a navy blue long coat without buttons on the outside, stepping on high heels, with her long soft hair neatly tied at the back of her head, fixed with an elegantly crafted ivory hairpin. "..." Mia was stunned, "Are we eating out?"
"Eating at ho, Bob will be back by then," Aurora replied.
"That’s fine then." Mia spoke honestly.
Aurora smiled, "It might get a bit cold, wait a mont, I’ll go change."
Mia: "..."
Her mom usually dresses like this even in winter?
It’s spring now, why would she feel cold, it’s bewildering.
She frowned and sat back on the sofa.
After a while, she couldn’t sense anything amiss at all.
About ten minutes later, Aurora ca out again, and Mia was again dumbfounded.
This ti, Aurora wasn’t wearing a cheongsam and coat anymore, but pairing fitted three-quarter pants highlighting her still slender and straight legs, with a short-sleeved knitted top with lantern sleeves, looking still serene, yet... much more down-to-earth and holy.
Mia was even more puzzled.
Is a knitted top warr than a coat?
"Let’s go." Aurora seed quite satisfied with her new attire, casually putting the hairpin into her handbag.
The wave curled ends of her hair cascaded down.
Mia looked at her profile, raised a hand to rub the top of Chancellor’s head, and the two headed out together.
Uncle King drove, and the three of them went to the airport to pick up Aiden Jiang.
Mia and Aurora sat together at the back.
Aurora checked her look several tis on the way, and eventually wiped her makeup off with a wet wipe, revealing a tiny spot on her cheek.
She splashed water and refreshed her lipstick looking in the mirror.
Mia watched her, silently grumbling in her heart, "What’s the point?"
Her mind suddenly did a flip, coming to so realization, could it be her mom, after twenty years, has developed feelings for her dad again?
Or maybe, they both have mutual intentions?

Mia didn’t know about Aiden Jiang’s arrival, it was conveyed by Aurora.
Thinking back, it was sowhat amusing.
She initially dressed up so splendidly, certainly intending to impress Aiden Jiang, to overwhelm him with her aura.
