Louis Cox’s words fell and he glanced distantly at his motorcycle parked on the avenue.
Mia Ginger also took a distant look and nodded with a smile, "Let’s go."
The two of them started walking towards where Louis Cox’s bike was parked.
"Here."
Louis Cox handed the helt to Mia Ginger.
Since they were just going out to eat and it wasn’t far, Mia Ginger held the helt and sat behind him without wearing it.
Soon, the two arrived outside the school.
A spinach noodle restaurant.
Louis Cox, who had gotten up late and ca to find her, wasn’t in the mood to eat. They ordered different sized bowls separately and chose a spot by the window.
The waiter poured so noodle soup.
Mia Ginger held the bowl and drank a few sips. As she lifted her eyes, she t Louis Cox’s intense gaze.
"What is it?" she asked.
Louis Cox rubbed the rim of his cup with his finger and asked thoughtfully, "Did you... think of Koa Jackson?"
Mia Ginger was taken aback, "No."
"Why did you suddenly get married?" Louis Cox looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"Because I like him." Mia Ginger lightly pursed her lips and smiled, "I just feel like I really like him. Plus, he’s already my boyfriend, I knew that, even though he’s sotis pretty infuriating, arrogant, and stubborn. But I still like him, without any reason or rationale."
Her tone was light and cheerful, different from what Louis Cox had known her to be.
But Louis Cox felt relieved and relaxed.
He felt sorry for the old Mia Ginger, but also liked the current Mia Ginger. Overall, however she was, she was good.
Whatever she was like, he liked that about her.
Seeing her happy was the most important thing.
Louis Cox picked up his teacup and took a sip.
Mia Ginger’s phone suddenly rang.
It was Koa Jackson.
She glanced down, answered imdiately, and said a cheerful "Hello."
Koa Jackson asked, "What are you up to?"
"Having lunch outside the school," Mia Ginger responded directly.
"Alone?" Koa Jackson didn’t hear anyone else’s voice, so he asked again.
"No," Mia Ginger glanced at Louis Cox across from her and smiled, "I’m with Louis Cox. He ca to find for lunch."
Koa Jackson: "..."
She with Louis Cox?
Is it necessary to be this happy just to have a al with Louis Cox?
And boldly telling him?
Actually, not only Koa Jackson, but even Louis Cox was surprised when he heard this; he stared at her intently.
The old Mia Ginger would not have been like this. She always avoided eting him, and if she couldn’t avoid it, certainly wouldn’t have been this direct and confident in front of Koa Jackson.
Louis Cox looked at her and suddenly felt like laughing.
He had been carefree, but since the incidents with the Myres Family and the Cox Family, he hadn’t laughed for a long ti.
Right now——
The laughter reached Koa Jackson’s ears.
Koa Jackson furrowed his brows tightly and whispered to Mia Ginger, "Have you checked the ti? You’re still outside with him. Aren’t you going to be late for class? In this state, how would you even apply for an exchange student program?"
His sudden sarcasm seed inexplicable. Mia Ginger checked the ti, and it was one-thirty.
Their classes started at two-thirty in the afternoon.
Plenty of ti.
Mia Ginger frowned, "Classes start at two-thirty; there’s enough ti. I’m just having lunch, is it necessary to make a big deal out of it?"
"You just t last night, didn’t talk?" Koa Jackson countered.
"No, we didn’t speak much last night."
Koa Jackson: "..."
The scene from the surveillance room last night suddenly flashed in his mind again.
