Aurora Cooper: "..."
She didn’t want to talk to this person anymore, so Aurora Cooper decided to call Bob Ginger’s horoom teacher again. Knowing that Bob Ginger still hadn’t arrived at school made her even more anxious.
Feeling helpless, she received a call from Mia Ginger.
Mia had already packed her things and left the classroom, eagerly asking her, "Mom, have you found Bob Ginger?"
"Not yet, his phone is still off, and he hasn’t gone to school either."
"Are you going to his school?" Mia thought for a mont, then said, "I can’t think of where he might have gone right now. I’ll co to the school and ask his teachers and classmates first."
"Aren’t you going to class?" Aurora asked in surprise.
"There’s just an elective left, it’s not important. Finding him is more important right now."
After all, it’s a critical ti. With everything Bob has been through recently, if he did sothing impulsive out of despair, she would feel a lifeti of guilt. Of course, finding him is more important.
Mia, with a bag on her back and one hand on a crutch, started hopping down the steps.
After just a couple of hops, she heard a crisp voice from behind, "Mia!"
Windsor Myres?
Thinking about how her twisted ankle was Windsor’s fault, Mia was not in a good mood and didn’t even turn back as she continued down the steps.
Windsor caught up to her in a few steps and said, exasperated, "Did you not hear call you?"
Mia glanced at her without saying a word.
"I’m talking to you!" Windsor said, a bit annoyed.
"I heard you, I’m not deaf."
"Then why didn’t you reply?"
"Didn’t want to talk."
"Are you still mad?" Windsor glanced at her foot and said helplessly, "How many tis do I have to say it? I didn’t do it on purpose, and I didn’t think you’d hurt your ankle like that. Is it necessary to make such a big deal out of it?"
Mia stopped, "I have sothing important to deal with today, I don’t want to argue with you."
"What’s happened?" Windsor changed the subject.
"Family matters." Mia pressed a hand to her forehead, her expression calm, "If you have nothing else, go back to class. I don’t need you to see off. I’ll catch a cab at the school gate."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I don’t need you to see off," Mia said indifferently.
"Alright, as you say."
With that, Windsor turned around and headed back to class, walking in the opposite direction.
Mia let out a breath as she leaned on her crutch. It took a while to reach the school gate, where she caught a cab and directly told them the address of Bob’s school.
Bob was one of the top students, and during class hours, security was tight. Mia waited at the school gate for a short while before Aiden Jiang’s assistant ca out to get her.
Seeing her with a crutch, the assistant was montarily stunned and asked, "What happened to your foot?"
"I twisted it accidentally; it’s not a big deal." Mia replied, and then walked with him towards Bob’s horoom teacher’s office.
The assistant Aiden brought back wasn’t much older than twenty-five or twenty-six, about the sa age as Mason Sutton, but he appeared several levels more naive. He seed a bit flustered as he watched her.
As the boss’s daughter, it seed inappropriate to either help her or not help her.
By the ti he resolved his internal dilemma on whether to assist her, they were already in front of Aiden Jiang and Aurora Cooper.
Aurora and Aiden had been talking with the horoom teacher but paused when they saw her, asking in unison, "What happened to your foot?"
"I twisted it accidentally, it’s nothing," Mia smiled casually, then turned to Bob’s horoom teacher with a gentle voice, "Hello, teacher, I’m Bob Ginger’s sister, Mia Ginger."
