"Please sit down quickly." The horoom teacher offered her a chair.
Mia Ginger didn’t stand on ceremony, thanked her, and sat down.
The horoom teacher continued, "It’s certain the child has been emotionally unsettled lately; however, his studies haven’t been greatly affected, as his rank remains at the top. Just looking at his condition is quite worrying—he talks less. I tried talking to him twice, but he was unwilling to share much, so I didn’t press further. With just over a month to go, he did ntion he’ll take the exams, so as parents, you should talk to him more, offer appropriate care and encouragent to relieve his psychological pressure."
"Absolutely," Aurora Cooper nodded seriously, "I understand everything you’re saying. The main issue now is that the child has gone missing. Can you gather so classmates to recall where he might frequent, so we can find him first?"
"Please wait a mont." The horoom teacher checked the schedule and dialed a number on her phone.
Once connected, she smiled and said, "Teacher Chapman, please have Charles Davis and Bodi Lee co to my office, right now, it’s quite urgent."
After finishing, she hung up the phone and nodded with a smile.
She and Aurora conversed briefly, and soon the two boys ntioned over the phone arrived.
They greeted the teacher and paused their gazes on Mia Ginger for a couple of seconds.
The horoom teacher lightly cleared her throat and directly asked, "Think about where Bob Ginger likes to go in his free ti, or if he has ntioned any places he plans to visit recently."
"The city library, maybe." The two boys offered an answer.
Mia Ginger glanced at them and frowned, sensing sothing was off.
Last ti on the phone, Bob Ginger also ntioned being at the library, but in reality, he wasn’t.
Her intuition told her that Bob Ginger was lying.
"Any other places?" Mia Ginger inquired, "Places like bars or karaoke where one can relax, where you guys usually hang out..."
"No," the two boys instinctively replied.
Mia Ginger exchanged a glance with the horoom teacher, feeling a bit awkward.
"Just be honest, don’t hide anything. Bob Ginger is missing after all, finding him is crucial."
"Really, none," one boy said with a tense expression, "At most, we’ve gone rollerblading at the plaza park. Bob Ginger doesn’t even like singing—oh, but he does enjoy gaming."
The other boy interrupted, "But he doesn’t go to internet cafes either, said they feel dirty."
The horoom teacher: "..."
Mia Ginger rubbed her brow.
Beside her, Aiden Jiang asked, "Has he gotten particularly close to any other friends at school recently?"
The two boys shook their heads unanimously.
The Ginger Family’s issues have stirred up quite a storm around town. Bob Ginger has been incredibly silent lately, not just recently—even since last sester. Although he receives tons of love letters and snacks every day, he speaks very little—quite puzzling.
The two boys stood there, lost in thought, while the horoom teacher, seeing no answers, waved them off.
Mia Ginger, Aiden Jiang, and Aurora Cooper left the school.
"How about calling the police?" Aurora suggested, "We’re at a dead end and have nowhere to search; if sothing happens to him, it’d be terrible."
"Let’s check the library first," Aiden glanced at her and decided.
"Skipping class to go to the library?" Aurora frowned, "That doesn’t feel likely."
"Should we search the bars?" Mia Ginger naturally recalled he’d gone to a bar once when feeling down, and she suggested to Aiden, "Splitting up might be faster, find him first and talk later."
