The little boy's ho is not far from Hubu Alley, about a ten-minute walk, yet it's in a slum area, surrounded by low brick houses. Luo Chao sighed inwardly, thinking that no matter how prosperous a city is, there are always impoverished places.
"That's my ho," the little boy pointed to a dilapidated red brick house not far away and said.
Luo Chao carried him over, but as soon as he approached, he heard cursing and things being smashed inside the house.
"You damn woman, playing dead, huh? Get up and get the hell out, or I'll tear down this house and crush you, and don't bla for it!"
Luo Chao frowned, noticing the word "demolition" written large on the houses in this slum area. This neighborhood was set for demolition. It seed deserted as if everyone had moved away. But why hadn't the boy and his mother left? Could they be what people call "nail houses"?
"They're here again!" the little boy said through gritted teeth, his eyes filled with hatred.
Li Ruotong asked curiously, "They're the demolition people, right? Why haven't you moved out yet?"
The little boy clenched his fists, "Everyone else moved out. We wanted to move too, but they refused to give us any compensation. Of course, my mom wouldn't move."
"Not a single penny?" Anger flashed in Luo Chao's eyes.
The little boy nodded, "These demolition people are just thugs. They drove away all the residents with low compensation, but aren't willing to give us anything."
"My mom says she would rather die here," the little boy continued, unable to hold back his tears.
"This is too much bullying," Li Ruotong said with a frown. Luo Chao put the little boy down and entered the small house, where he saw five ruffians holding batons, smashing things. The small room was cluttered and in chaos.
"Who are you?" The five thugs saw Luo Chao walk in, noticing his tidy attire and noble appearance, realizing he didn't belong to the slum.
Luo Chao said coldly, "What you're doing is truly despicable. This mother and son can move, but you have to give them the money they deserve."
"Where did you co from? Looking for death?" The five thugs shouted angrily and charged forward, but soon sounds of screams echoed in the room. Li Ruotong quickly entered and saw the five n lying on the ground, groaning in pain, their batons snapped in two.
Luo Chao briskly walked into the bedroom. Fortunately, the five thugs hadn't hard the boy's mother. A middle-aged woman was lying on the bed, her face flushed, indicating a fever. She had been feverish for several days without recovery. If such a high fever doesn't improve, it could develop into severe pneumonia and be fatal. The boy's mother was close to this stage. Luo Chao quickly took out Silver Needles and gently placed three needles on her body, causing her fever to subside imdiately.
The little boy was stunned by the scene before him, "Big brother, are you a Divine Doctor?"
"I'm not a Divine Doctor, just an ordinary Chinese dicine practitioner," Luo Chao said, touching his head as he looked at the boy's excited face.
"Who dares to hit my people on my turf?" a yell ca from outside. Luo Chao chuckled lightly; the person in charge had arrived. He was curious to see who was so lawless.
Luo Chao walked out to see a young man, about twenty-five or six, whose long Liuhai bangs covered his eyebrows, his eyes narrow and sharp like daggers, clearly not a good person, and he was followed by a dozen n.
"Who are you to cause trouble on my turf?" the young man said darkly. "Dare to give your na?"
Luo Chao chuckled lightly, "My na is Luo Chao."
The young man hesitated for a mont, "Luo Chao?"
"You're the Luo Chao from Jiangning City, right? I know you," the young man said, surprisingly.
Luo Chao was slightly astonished, never having been to Southeast City. How did this person know him? The young man continued, "Don't be surprised. I know all about what you've done in Jiangning City. Now, because of you, the underworld in Jiangning City no longer exists; you turned them into a security company, using virtue to control them—damn!"
Jiangning City and Southeast City are adjacent, and he is soone from Southeast City's underworld, naturally aware of what happened in Jiangning City. Not doing well in the underworld business, creating a security company instead infuriated all of Southeast City's underworld, making them want to go to Jiangning and revive the gangs.
Luo Chao sneered, "Isn't that a good thing? If Jiangning still had scum like you, I'd slap them to death."
"Kid, do you know who I am, daring to cause trouble on my turf," the young man said viciously.
The young man's lackeys shouted, "Our boss is one of the Four Southeast Young Lords, Xiao Yong!"
"Four Southeast Young Lords?" Luo Chao was stunned; seeing his montary daze, the lackeys quickly shouted with arrogance, "Scared, huh?"
Luo Chao smacked his lips, "So, you four must have three other scumbags?"
Xiao Yong was instantly enraged, "Do you think this is Jiangning? Opposing here is courting death!"
With that, Xiao Yong rushed forward, his five fingers turning into claws, attacking fiercely. Luo Chao scrutinized his moves and frowned, "Kongtong Sect's Flying Dragon Sect?"
Kongtong Sect has a skill divided into four gates—Flying Dragon Sect, Soul-Seeking Sect, Life-taking Sect, and Drunken Sect—using claws as the attack thod. Flying Dragon ans forceful attack, Soul-Seeking refers to speed, Life-taking ans one-hit kill, and Drunken Sect implies agile claw techniques, like being drunk but not.
Upon hearing Luo Chao's words, Xiao Yong hesitated slightly, how was it that as soon as he struck, Luo Chao knew exactly what skill he was using—so impressive?
Just as Xiao Yong's claws were about to reach Luo Chao, two cold gleams shot from Luo Chao's pupils, "So many flaws!"
Xiao Yong's pupils shrank suddenly because he saw a palm slam toward him, deforming his entire face upon impact. Then he was sent flying several ters away, crashing into several of his lackeys.
With soone breaking his fall, Xiao Yong wasn't seriously injured, but he was terrified. This Luo Chao was too scary, instantly identifying the move used and spotting flaws, followed by a swift slap—damn, is there even a chance for a fight?
