Luo Chao sat on the recliner outside the supermarket, waiting for Ning Wanxi to co out. Little Doudou was very obedient, even when being held with one hand, he was curiously looking around. Bored, Luo Chao took out his phone, intending to check the news, when he saw a call coming in from Xie Yong.
"Xie Yong, what's up?"
"Yeah, where are you? Li Na is looking for you."
"I'm at the Hongxing Departnt Store, have her co over."
"Okay, sure!"
Xie Yong was quite curious about why his ex-girlfriend would be looking for Luo Chao, but if Luo Chao wanted him to know, he would say so, so Xie Yong didn't ask further.
For Xie Yong, the sudden call from his ex-girlfriend was quite surprising. Normally Xie Yong could have ignored Li Na completely, but out of old tis' sake, he called Luo Chao. However, Li Na's tone on the phone was full of sorrow, evidently encountering so trouble that required finding Luo Chao.
As for whether Luo Chao would be willing to help, Xie Yong wasn't concerned.
After more than ten minutes, Li Na ca over pushing a wheelchair, and sitting in the wheelchair was her father, Li Daming. Luo Chao chuckled, "That's the way to think!"
Seeing his cunning smile, Li Daming even wondered if it was Luo Chao who had stuffed the tumor into his brain!
At this mont, Ning Wanxi returned fully loaded. When she walked up to Luo Chao, she halted and asked, "Luo Chao, what are you doing?"

Li Na, observing this beautiful woman in a mask who was clearly a stunner with a tall and slender fra, full bust, and perky posterior, couldn't help her envy and asked, "Who is she?"
Luo Chao pondered and replied, "She's my wife."
Ning Wanxi, deliberately wearing a mask to avoid being recognized, especially going out with Luo Chao and holding the baby, was likely to bump into acquaintances in such a big mall. Luo Chao knew this, so he said so, trusting her to remain unidentified by strangers.
"And what about that girl from last ti?" Li Na, speaking without thinking, asked in surprise.
Luo Chao's face went dark. It's always the wrong pot that gets brought up, while Ning Wanxi furrowed her brows, glaring at Luo Chao. His connections with won seed plentiful.
"The girl she's referring to is Lanya," Luo Chao whispered in her ear to explain.
Ning Wanxi paused, "Lanya?"
Luo Chao nodded, "Yeah, Lanya pretended to be my girlfriend on purpose to vex her."
Ning Wanxi wouldn't fully buy his story, so she asked Li Na, "What does that girl look like?"
At this point, even if Li Na were foolish, she realized she had misspoken in haste. Sheepishly, she didn't dare to say more, fearing Luo Chao's anger might cost them the treatnt for her father, so she glanced at Luo Chao, who nodded at her, indicating she should go ahead.
Li Na then said, "About 1.7 ters tall, long hair, oval face, big eyes, very pretty, like a college student."
It really was Lanya. Since when had this girl taken to pretending to be girlfriends for others, Ning Wanxi mused, also quickly realizing there were past issues between Luo Chao and this unwell-looking woman.

Luo Chao placed Doudou into Ning Wanxi's arms, speaking leisurely, "Transfer the money to my account first."
"You have to treat my father first; only then will we pay. Otherwise, what if you take the money and run?" Li Na said through gritted teeth.
Luo Chao casually remarked, "When you go to the hospital for treatnt, do they treat you before you pay?"
Li Daming was so exasperated he coughed twice, almost choking himself, "Mr. Lu, do you think 10 million is a small number? In desperation, I sold my company for a song; all I have left is this 10 million!"
"10 million for a life, I think it's a fair deal," Luo Chao said seriously, "You can choose not to trust , but I don't have ti to waste with you, goodbye!"
Just as Luo Chao was about to turn and leave, Li Daming hastily said, "Alright, we'll pay first!"
There's no one who's not afraid of death, and Li Daming was one of them. He knew he had only a few days left, keeping at bay only ant an unpredictable day when he might perish. Thus, he could only choose to trust.
After speaking, Li Daming gave Li Na a look, and Li Na paled. Once they paid the 10 million, their previously comfortable life would be gone forever. But for her father's sake, she could only comply. She then took out her phone, "Mom, transfer the money to him."
"What? How can that be!"
"That's Dad's wish, and Doctor Lu will only treat if he receives the paynt. I have no choice; for Dad's sake, send it."
"Alright then!"
Li Na's mother was already waiting at the bank, after all, 10 million was not a minor amount and required a bank transfer.

Li Na nodded, pushing the wheelchair out, with Luo Chao following behind. Ning Wanxi followed along, to which Luo Chao asked, surprised, "You're coming too?"
Ning Wanxi snorted, "Why, can't I go too? I really want to see what kind of illness 10 million can cure."
