Ten minutes later, a black Hongqi slowly stopped in front of the two.
The car window rolled down, and the man’s side profile in the passenger seat was so attractive it captivated the heart.
Alfred Garland enthusiastically greeted Nathalie Quinlan first: "Ms. Quinlan."
Then he noticed there was soone else beside Nathalie Quinlan.
Amadeus Yancey also saw soone next to Nathalie Quinlan, a middle-aged man he had t once, Nathalie’s biological father, Stanley Zachmann.
He didn’t expect Stanley Zachmann to be there too, and imdiately spoke, politely greeting him: "Hello, Uncle Zachmann."
"Uh, hi, hello."
Stanley Zachmann felt as if he was stepping on cotton, in a cloud, watching the girl walk over to open the car door, motioning for him to get in: "Dad, get in the car first."
"Ah, okay, okay."
Stanley Zachmann instinctively followed.
After he got in, Nathalie Quinlan followed him into the car, naturally closing the car door and rolling down the window, resting her elbow on the rolled-down window, posing very relaxedly, speaking lazily to the people in the front: "Let’s go, find a place to eat first. I’m taking my dad to dinner."
Amadeus Yancey was very composed and imdiately asked the man: "Uncle Zachmann, do you prefer spicy or mild food?"
Stanley Zachmann was almost dumbfounded, sitting in the car feeling all sorts of discomfort, always feeling sothing was off. His mind was a ss, and unconsciously he responded quite awkwardly: "Mild, I guess."
"Alright." Amadeus Yancey nodded and instructed Alfred Garland: "Head to the Imperial Hotel."
The cuisine at the Imperial Hotel is Cantonese, light and slightly sweet, suitable for middle-aged and older adults.
If Stanley Zachmann’s taste was as spicy as Nathalie Quinlan’s, he would have taken him to the hot pot place Nathalie went to last ti.
"Sure, alright, Amadeus."
Alfred Garland hastily reversed the car, skillfully driving in the direction of the Imperial Hotel while glancing at Stanley Zachmann’s reaction through the rearview mirror.
anwhile, he secretly clicked his tongue in his heart.
Ms. Quinlan is fierce~!
A true powerhouse. Before they ca, Ms. Quinlan hadn’t ntioned that Mr. Zachmann was with them, so this was like Amadeus being forced to et the parents.
For so unknown reason, a phrase popped into Alfred Garland’s mind: "The awkward wife will eventually et the in-laws."
Why did he feel like Amadeus was that suddenly t tiny wife?
Alfred Garland kept these thoughts to himself, daring not to show anything on his face. If Amadeus knew what he was thinking, he figured his na would be on the list for the Terrafina assignnt!

In the car with Caryn Zachmann and Hendrik Zachmann heading back.
Hendrik Zachmann rested his hand on the steering wheel. While waiting for the traffic light, he looked at Caryn Zachmann sitting in the passenger seat and spoke in a low, serious voice: "Caryn, you shouldn’t talk to Uncle like that in the future. When you were young, Uncle was very kind to you. Even though our families are now separate, we’re still family with him. Uncle is still an elder we need to respect, do you understand?"
Caryn Zachmann, a bit absent-mindedly, fluttered her eyelashes and answered sowhat impatiently: "I know, I didn’t say anything. They didn’t want to take our car back, it’s not like we didn’t want to take them."
The reasoning is sound!
Hendrik Zachmann always felt she sotis showed her emotions too openly, which could make people uncomfortable.
Hendrik Zachmann only gently advised her: "Uncle... teaches at school, and Nathalie doesn’t know many people, but they are still our family. Grandpa handed the company and connections to Dad, hoping we could keep an eye out for them, don’t let Grandpa’s efforts go to waste."
