Caryn’s eyes were filled with coldness; she didn’t want to argue with Hendrik, so she turned her face to the side, her fingers plucking at her bag strap, and responded with a slight chill at the corner of her lips, "I got it. Brother, you don’t need to say any more."
Hendrik, seeing the expression on her face, knew she was quite impatient and hadn’t really listened to him. Helplessly, he shook his head, knowing there was nothing he could do about his sister.
As the red light at the traffic light changed to green, he didn’t say anything further to Caryn, pressed the accelerator, and the car started moving again.

The Zachmann Family.
Leonardy was the first to return ho.
The Servant brewed tea and brought it over to him; he threw his suit jacket onto the sofa, rolled up his sleeves, and asked Mrs. Denio, "Where is the madam?"
He glanced up at the second floor; the house was quite quiet as if no one was there.
Mrs. Denio respectfully walked over, holding his shed suit in her arms. Hearing the question, she raised her head and answered in a low voice, "Mr. Zachmann, madam is not at ho; she went out this morning."
"Not at ho again?" Leonardy reflexively frowned, stopping the motion of rolling up his shirt sleeves.
Mrs. Denio was just a Servant in the Zachmann Family.
She imdiately lowered her head, stood there not daring to say more, only whispering, "Madam might have gone out with friends to the beauty salon."
Leonardy was rely inquiring and didn’t expect Mrs. Denio to know where Celine went.
He only felt that Celine had been going out extraordinarily frequently lately, often absent during the day and not coming back until nightti, without knowing what she was doing.
However, having been married to Celine for over twenty years, their relationship had always been harmonious. Leonardy didn’t think much of it, just nodded and told Mrs. Denio to go about her work.
He sat himself down on the sofa, picked up the glass and took a sip of water.
Placing the glass down again, he pressed the bridge of his nose, leaned back on the sofa for a mont, then took out his phone and made a call to Hendrik.
"Hey, where are you, when are you coming back?"
Leonardy heard Hendrik say that he and Caryn were together and on their way ho, about ten minutes away. He tugged at his collar, dispelling the sultry feeling on his body, and said in a deep voice, "I’m waiting for you at ho, hurry back!"
After Leonardy hung up Hendrik’s call, he hesitated for a mont and then dialed Stanley’s phone number.
The phone rang once.
It said the call he made was unanswered.
Silently, he hung up the call, slowly put down the phone, and in those sharp, wise eyes, there was only a heavy sense of helplessness and fatigue...

Ten minutes later, Hendrik and Caryn finally arrived ho.
As soon as Hendrik entered, he saw his dad sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea in front of him, neither watching TV nor reading a newspaper, seemingly waiting for them to co back.
He changed his shoes and stepped in from the hallway, his handso face having so resemblance to Leonardy. Compared to the forty-sothing mature and calm middle-aged man, Hendrik appeared younger, more vigorous, and a bit more flamboyant.
"Dad." Hendrik called out when he walked to the living room.
"Back?" Leonardy saw the two siblings co back one after the other. He expressionlessly tossed his phone onto the nearby tea table, suddenly stood up, ignored Hendrik, walked up to Caryn, raised his hand, and slapped Caryn across the face.
Smack!
The sound of a slap echoed through the living room.
Mrs. Denio, who ca over to serve tea to Hendrik and Caryn, was so startled she stood frozen, covering her mouth, nearly crying out.
Mr. Zachmann, why did Mr. Zachmann hit soone?
And hit Miss Caryn?
