Ghania Quinlan gritted her teeth, lifted her head, steadied herself, and looked at Nathalie Quinlan saying, "I didn’t take your stuff."
"If you didn’t take it, give it a try." Nathalie raised an eyebrow noncommittally, looking quite composed.
Ghania looked at her hand still raised in mid-air, clenched her teeth, her beautiful eyes flickered, and she added, "Since you don’t believe , I can try... but if it’s not mine, you need to apologize to ."
Nathalie clicked her tongue, her gaze playful, watching her, seemingly waiting for her next performance.
Ghania took a deep breath, hesitated for a while before slowly walking over and reaching out to take the item from Nathalie’s hand.
At that mont, an accident occurred.
Underfoot, Ghania seed to have missed a step, her left foot tangled with her right while walking, she stumbled to the side.
In her ’panic,’ Ghania grabbed to the side, knocking a tal and porcelain tea cup off the table, spilling the boiling tea onto the back of her hand.
She cried out in pain, clutching her hand, as she fell to the ground.
"Ghania!" Emilia Sullivan was startled and quickly rushed over to help her stand, noticing Ghania’s right hand had been scalded with a series of blisters from the hot tea.
She instantly felt heartbroken and quickly bent down to blow on the wound: "How could you be so careless, does it hurt?"
Ghania’s face turned extrely pale from the pain, her eyes quickly filling with tears, yet she stubbornly shook her head, comforting her: "Mom, I’m fine."
The more she acted like this, the more Emilia felt an overwhelming sense of distress.
"Your hand is burned like this and you say it’s fine! No way, Mom will take you to the hospital imdiately."
Her mind was filled with concern over Ghania’s scalded hand, she turned her head, her attitude strong towards Nathalie: "Have you had enough ssing around? I don’t care who stole your hard drive, it definitely wasn’t your sister, that’s enough. I’m taking your sister to the hospital for ointnt, you let your people step aside!"
Her attitude couldn’t be more unpleasant.
Initially, Sadam Vinson had a good deanor towards her, but instantly his face turned cold.
Who does this Emilia Sullivan think she is?
How ignorant must she be to dare boss around in this setting!
Nathalie, however, remained good-natured, after seeing Ghania ’accidentally’ scald her right hand with hot tea, she leisurely placed the alcohol spray on the nearby table.
She then took a wet tissue to wipe each finger clean, tossed the tissue into the trash, looked up with a faint smile at the girl who was in tears from the pain, and mocked: "Ghania, if I said there was potassium permanganate on the hard drive, would you believe it?"
The previously boiling hot tea had indeed scalded the back of Ghania’s hand, and her right hand was now in blistering pain. When she suddenly heard Nathalie say this, she raised her head, sowhat incredulously: "What do you an?"
Ghania was not foolish; with a quick thought, she guessed the truth.
"You tricked ?"
"You didn’t apply anything on it, you just said it casually to fool ?"
Realizing this, Ghania’s face turned as pale as if she was about to vanish.
Knowing she had been played like a monkey again, she felt a sense of humiliation almost erupting within her.
Her mind went blank, the nerve in her body was stretched tight, nearly snapping.
Sadam Vinson also looked as if he’d seen a ghost, unable to react: "Nathalie, you didn’t put anything on there?"
"No." Nathalie nodded, admitting quite readily: "I’m not a god, I had prepared two hard drives just in case, but I didn’t think soone would actually be foolhardy enough to fall for it."
