Whether it’s Nathalie Quinlan or Ghania Quinlan, relatives in McKinney were all insignificant in his eyes; his vision and aspirations were always set on Beijing.
As for the conflicts between these minor figures, he considered them nothing more than trivial matters.
An inability to compromise was simply a matter of not enough interest.

She had just lost a secured placent at National Artists University, and now she seed to have set her sights on Tsinghua University, which was even better. It looked like Myles Sullivan would help her, too.
But for Ghania to get into Tsinghua University with her grades... Nathalie’s eyes carried a hint of contempt—not that she looked down on her, but she genuinely didn’t take her seriously!
Her reaction appeared ’deliberate’ to Myles Sullivan, as if she was ’deliberately’ pretending not to care.
Myles Sullivan promptly asked, "Do you want to try for Tsinghua University, too?"
"?" Nathalie was genuinely perplexed, glancing at him with a hoarse, lazy voice, "I’ll take the college entrance exam."
Myles Sullivan chuckled and offered, "Why don’t you co with to Beijing, just like Ghania? I can arrange a tutor for you, and you can make the most of this month to catch up. Once your written exam results co out, if they’re not too bad, I’ll try to pull so strings for you and secure an interview spot. That will greatly increase your chances of getting into Tsinghua University."
He had no idea that a person of Adelle Wafford’s rank from Tsinghua University had personally visited Nathalie to offer her a direct admission into their flagship clinical dical program.
But Nathalie had rejected it.
He simply rembered Nathalie as an average student, slightly worse off than Ghania.
Since Ghania would definitely take the arts route and the music departnt has lower academic requirents than other departnts, Ghania had a hard enough ti qualifying for Tsinghua; naturally, Nathalie would need to take supplentary lessons.
He swore with confidence, "Don’t worry, you and Ghania are both my nieces in my care. Whatever she has, I will give you too. You’re both the sa in my eyes."
Nathalie agreed to receive his phone call and et him for the simple reason that Myles Sullivan was the only person from the Quinlan Family who was sowhat decent to her.
At least, on his rare visits to the Quinlan Family, he never forgot to bring her a gift whenever he brought sothing for Ghania.
She was willing to give Myles Sullivan ’face’ and regard him as an elder she knew, but that was it. Myles Sullivan and Edric would never hold the sa place in her heart. She could compromise on certain things for the little guy, but for Myles Sullivan... forget it.
Nathalie didn’t directly respond to his proposition about going to Beijing. Instead, she asked him, "Uncle Sullivan, how long do you plan to stay in McKinney?"
As shrewd as Myles Sullivan was, he could see through her silent refusal of his offer. He felt slightly disappointed but kept his composure, smiling as he replied, "If I’m taking Ghania back to Beijing, I might not be able to stay for more than a few days."
Nathalie leaned forward, her dark eyes clear and bright against her tanned, deep complexion, looking at him, she casually said, "Find so ti before you leave, I’ll treat you to a al. You pick the place."
Myles Sullivan, coming from Beijing, considered the restaurants in small places like McKinney below his standards. He had only heard that Waterfront Pavilion was decent, but it was a hard place to book.
