By the roadside, the black Phaeton quietly rested under the shade of the trees.
The man sitting in the back seat stretched out his long legs, reclining comfortably, holding a phone in one hand, an expression of lazy indifference on his face, his eyelashes just enough to conceal the emotions in his eyes, making it impossible for one to guess what he was thinking at the mont.
"Heading back in a few days... around the 3rd... Yeah... the exact date isn’t settled yet."
His voice was low and rhythmic, like drumbeats against one’s heart.

Over at Mr. Yancey’s mansion in Beijing, an elderly man with white hair and a beard, dressed in a suit, stood upright with an aura of unruffled authority. He was on the phone with soone, and his usually stern face was now unusually darkened with anger.
"You damned brat, when exactly are you coming back? It seems like you’re having so much fun outside that you’ve forgotten your way ho! Edric too, he hasn’t called recently."
Listening to the roar coming through the phone, Amadeus Yancey’s lips curved slightly, he said carelessly, "If you miss him, just call him. It’s not like he won’t answer your call."
There was more left unsaid.
Even though Edric Yancey’s thoughts were all on Nathalie Quinlan, more than likely, he would just be distracted...
That was what he refrained from saying.
"Humph! Why should I be the one to call you guys? You should be calling !"
Quite the tsundere.
"..." Amadeus Yancey raised the corners of his eyes, glancing at the caller ID, it seed that this phone call was actually from his grandfather himself.
He shifted to a more comfortable position, already wanting to hang up, "Alright, grandpa, what’s the matter with you calling ?"
Back at the Yancey mansion, Mr. Yancey’s face darkened even more, and he nearly couldn’t suppress his anger at his disrespectful grandson. Containing his rage, he coughed and then asked with firmness, "Is Nathalie Quinlan also coming to Beijing? When do you plan to bring her back to et ?"
"How did you know she’s going to Beijing? Alfred Garland told you?" Amadeus Yancey lowered his eyelids, playing with the Buddhist beads on his wrist.
The Buddhist beads, expected to convey a sense of calm and serenity, seed to take on an indescribable fierceness as they moved through his fingers.
Scared, Alfred Garland felt a chill down his neck and quickly raised his hands in silent protest that he hadn’t spilled a word!
