Stephanie Tanzil couldn’t believe the ssage in the chat window. She let out a long sigh, feeling as if the storm had cleared, and was surprised she was experiencing such a dramatic turn of events.
Anxious that the other party might change their mind, she imdiately typed a response.
[Alright.]
After the ssage was sent, silence fell once again.
Ti ticked away by the second. She checked her watch several tis, and as half an hour passed, she hesitated about whether to send another ssage to ask if the other person was still online.
A video file suddenly popped up for approval on her computer.
[Lighten Chaser: Sent it to you.]
She tensed up, unable to resist, and clicked to accept it.
The video file wasn’t large, and with the fast internet at her Tv station, it took less than a minute to download.
Stephanie Tanzil looked at the new audio file on her desktop and, unable to control her excitent, opened it.
A young face appeared before her.
The person was wearing a black hoodie, her hair casually tied up, revealing a clean and smooth face – shockingly young!
"Girl?" She seldom felt so surprised that she lost control, yet this ti she was so astonished she was speechless.
In the lens, the young face was strikingly beautiful, with delicate and well-defined features, clear-cut contours, and ink-like dark eyes that slightly turned up at the corners. It was evident that she was recording at ho with a bed in the background, where a stuffed toy was left lying.
Her hair was disheveled, her neck long and straight, her eyes harboring a certain defiance. When she spoke, her voice was slightly raspy, her speech slow, using her own voice to express her understanding of traditional music.
From both appearance and voice, it was clear—this was a young girl!
And very, very young, much younger than Stephanie had anticipated.
She had thought Lighten Chaser was male and at least in his thirties.
But now, seeing the video, she discovered that the real Lighten Chaser was a girl, who looked no older than 18. This...
If this video were released, it would cause a sensation!
While she was watching the video, her phone suddenly rang. She hadn’t intended to answer, but a glance at the caller ID caught her eye.
Stephanie Tanzil hit the pause button, picked up her phone, and put it to her ear, "Hello, Mr. Norton."

Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t in a rush. After waiting ten minutes without a response, she guessed the other party might be busy. She logged out, planning to check again after waking up.
