But the harsh reality was different; unlike pop music, where you could easily find a top star in the circle for promotion, traditional music severely lacked recognizable figures.
Shawn Norton had a high status within the circle, but if you asked young people to recognize him on TV, they might not imdiately identify the person as the nation’s well-known Konghou master.
If that was the case with Shawn Norton, the situation was even worse for those unknown musicians of traditional music.
