When Alfred Garland was thinking this, he was completely unaware that the normal reaction for most people upon hearing that a high school senior girl got into a fight and was taken to the police station would be to worry about whether the girl was injured.
Not him, though; he was not concerned about Nathalie Quinlan getting hurt, he was worried that she might not have controlled her strength and accidentally killed soone.
After all, anything could happen to Ms. Quinlan... absolutely anything!
Amadeus Yancey had a mixture of malice and concern in his chest. Hearing his baffled words, his mood brightened considerably, and he even felt like responding, "No, the other party broke three ribs and is still lying in the hospital."
"Only three ribs broken, not dead?" The response from Alfred Garland on the other end of the phone was a sigh of relief, feeling reassured, "Oh, that’s good, that’s good. I thought they were dead. As long as they’re still breathing, that’s fine."
Amadeus Yancey: "..."
"McKinney..."
Alfred Garland was extrely observant, promptly saying without needing to be asked, "Amadeus, you want to go back to McKinney, right? I’ll check the airplane tickets right away. Just wait a mont."
"Also check out the situation in McKinney."
"Alright."
Amadeus Yancey hung up the phone call, took the phone away from his ear, and then checked the text ssage Giordano Yancey had sent him, glancing at it before sending a ssage back.
[Q: I have an urgent matter and need to return to McKinney. I won’t be back tomorrow; we’ll talk next ti I’m there.]
After sending the ssage, he thought for a mont, then sent another text ssage.
[Q: Next ti, I’ll arrange for you to et them.]
Once the text ssage was successfully sent, he stopped looking at his phone.
Mr. Yancey always went to bed early, turning in at nine o’clock sharp, and now nearing eleven o’clock, he must be asleep, likely not seeing the ssage until morning to reply.
He pursed his lips and then furrowed his brows in thought, his phone vibrating in his hand. Thinking it might be Alfred Garland, he picked up the phone to check.
A new text ssage.
[Mr. Yancey: You said it yourself, kid. I’ve written it down in a notebook, next ti if you don’t bring her to dine with , you’ll see!]
Following that was another ssage.
[Mr. Yancey: If you need help with anything in McKinney, let know.]
Amadeus Yancey didn’t reply to the ssage, storing his phone away, his lips curling slightly, feeling much better, and when he looked up again, there was nothing left in his eyes but turbulent undercurrents.
If soone was looking for death, he would accompany them to the very end!

At the police station, the transcript was finally completed after three hours.
After three hours, Nathalie Quinlan looked sowhat tired. She checked her phone and found many ssages. Silvania Ingram, Owen Yapiter, and even Audrick Zachmann had ssaged her.
Audrick Zachmann made six missed phone calls to her.
Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes were very calm, devoid of any emotional fluctuations. She had considered that things might blow up and that Audrick Zachmann would find out about her fighting, so she was not surprised.
She didn’t return the phone calls.
Instead, she checked the ssage from Owen Yapiter, saying he was in the next city and on his way back.
Nathalie Quinlan, with her smooth features and head lowered, her black lashes long and her eyes half-closed, still had the mood to reply to him with a nonchalant "No rush."
After replying to the ssage.
She then checked the other ssages.
@ilovebeingskinny had sent her the information she asked for about Jecksen Wilmar; the docunt was pretty large. She casually browsed through it and raised her eyebrows in surprise.
She had heard before that Mr. Wilmar was a good-for-nothing, but she didn’t expect him to be so bold, involved in quite a few things.
Any one of the items from this file could land Jecksen Wilmar in a reform labor camp!
Nathalie Quinlan raised an eyebrow and saved the docunt to her email, boredly scrolling through the ssages, and when she looked up, she saw Ivy Wilmar pushing the door and coming in from outside.
At first glance, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t recognize her, only feeling that the woman who entered was familiar. After a few more looks, she recognized Ivy Wilmar.
Nathalie Quinlan was quite surprised as she lifted her eyes, her gaze deep, but she politely addressed the newcor, "Mrs. Wilmar."
