"He’s eighteen this year." Kiera Sherman chuckled. "You couldn’t tell, could you? He looks a bit older for his age."

"Not at all. He looks very young and handso."

Wayne Wyatt’s eyes lit up when he heard that, and a blush crept onto his fair cheeks.

He had only one thought in his mind: ’The goddess praised !!!’

Kiera Sherman wasn’t as cold and aloof as the paparazzi photos made her out to be. On the contrary, she was very talkative and knowledgeable, able to offer her own opinion on any topic that ca up.

After a bit of small talk, Kiera Sherman seed to casually bring up Laura Grant, asking how she was doing lately.

Naomi Kenway sensed sothing odd. The relationship between Laura Grant and Kiera Sherman was strange; it seed both close and distant at the sa ti.

"Lily’s doing fine. She’s busy preparing for a new variety show right now."

Kiera Sherman took a sip of her coffee and gently set the cup down. "She’s a workaholic, as always."

Naomi Kenway’s phone buzzed. She glanced down at it, then said, "I’m so sorry, but I have an urgent appointnt this afternoon. Lily is waiting for just outside."

"Lily?" Kiera Sherman thought for a mont. "Isn’t it hot outside? Have her co in and rest for a bit. I haven’t seen her in ages. This is a good chance to catch up."

Naomi Kenway took out her phone.

The wind chi on the door jingled, and Laura Grant walked in, dressed in simple, professional attire. She glanced at Kiera Sherman sitting across from them and gave a slight nod. "Long ti no see. I’ll be taking her with now."

Kiera Sherman said, "Surely you’re not in that much of a hurry? Chat with for a couple of minutes, Lily."

"Sorry." Laura Grant’s expression was cold and stiff, clearly not intending to give Kiera Sherman any face. "I believe Nicole has already told you we have an important appointnt. We’re on a tight schedule. I hope Actress Sherman can understand."

Naomi Kenway watched from the side. It seed the relationship between this forr golden duo was no longer amicable.

"Alright, I won’t insist." Kiera Sherman said, "Noah, please see your Aunt Lily and Nicole out."

Laura Grant led Naomi Kenway straight to the car. She sat in the driver’s seat, started the engine, and placed her hands on the steering wheel. Her voice was faint as she said, "It seems I interrupted your conversation with her. I hope you won’t hold it against , Nicole."

"Work is what’s most important."

A look of relief inexplicably appeared on Laura Grant’s face. She hesitated, then said, "Kiera Sherman is a huge control freak. You can see it in her poor son. I wouldn’t recomnd you beco close friends with her. After all, she doesn’t need friends, only stepping stones."

Naomi Kenway acknowledged this. She knew Laura Grant wouldn’t do anything to harm her.

"My timing was a bit off. Are you full? Should I have my assistant get you sothing to eat?"

"No need, Lily. I’m already full."

「Soti later.」

After the last welco banquet, Naomi Kenway and Jenna Shaw had exchanged contact information. She rembered Susan Hughes telling her to take Jenna Shaw out and about, so she picked a relatively free day and invited her out.

Jenna Shaw was dressed in casual clothes, a radiant smile on her face. She didn’t have the slightest air of a rich young heiress.

She first circled Naomi Kenway, praising her, "You’re so slim and beautiful, Naomi! You even make the ugly bag I designed look good!"

Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but laugh. "Don’t put yourself down like that. When I was carrying it, quite a few people asked which master designer created it. They thought it was absolutely beautiful."

Jenna Shaw covered her face, her pretty eyes filled with surprise. "Really? You’re not just teasing , are you, Naomi?"

"Of course it’s true."

The fastest way to build a friendship is through shopping. The two headed straight for the biggest mall.

Jenna Shaw said she wanted to try a more ladylike style, so she picked out a few dresses to try on.

Naomi Kenway sat waiting on a sofa outside the fitting rooms. On the table next to her were pastries and hot tea brought over by the store staff.

A mont later, Jenna Shaw ca out. She twirled in front of Naomi Kenway. "Naomi, what do you think?"

She had chosen a white, lace-trimd dress that fell to her knees.

Naomi Kenway cupped her chin in thought, then walked over. "I don’t think this dress does you justice. Let’s try another one."

Jenna Shaw looked at herself in the mirror from every angle and said with frustration, "Why is my skin so dark? Wearing this ethereal dress, I look like so kind of black bear demon."

"Don’t talk about yourself like that." Naomi Kenway studied Jenna Shaw closely. "Your skin tone is beautiful. It’s healthy, delicate, and smooth. So many people would be envious of it!"

"Really?" Then she rembered sothing. "But Walter Vance said my skin is pretty dark, and that I’m not very good-looking..." Her voice trailed off.

Naomi Kenway’s lips twitched as she fought the urge to roll her eyes. She knew Jenna Shaw was very protective of Walter Vance, and saying the wrong thing would probably just make her unhappy.

Jenna Shaw was gorgeous. No one in the Shaw Family was ugly, and even among them, Jenna was a standout. Her features were striking, her beautiful eyes like sparkling black pearls. Her skin was a healthy, even, sun-kissed tan, and you could faintly see the smooth lines of muscle on her slender arms. She was beautiful in a way that was full of vitality and life.

Naomi Kenway picked out an outfit for Jenna Shaw. The style was relatively simple, but the design at the waist was stunning.

Jenna Shaw went in to change and ca out a mont later. The dopamine-style outfit made her look even more radiant and vibrant.

The sales associate nearby kept complinting how beautiful she looked.

Jenna Shaw looked in the mirror, full of praise. "Naomi, you have amazing taste."

Naomi Kenway stepped forward to adjust her collar. "I’m glad you like it."

The more Jenna Shaw looked, the more pleased she was. She couldn’t wait to share it with Walter Vance.

She had to call twice before he picked up. Jenna started a video call, but her smile froze the mont she saw the scene on the other end. She sounded displeased. "You’re at a party with friends? Why didn’t you invite ?"

She noticed quite a few familiar faces on the other side. Almost all of Walter Vance’s close friends had brought their girlfriends, yet he hadn’t even told her...

Walter Vance’s voice was tinged with drunkenness, his tie slightly askew. "Can you stop being so unreasonable? Can’t I have even this little bit of freedom? I hate how you try to control every little thing I do!"

"Then who’s that woman next to you? Is that why you didn’t bring ?" Jenna Shaw was usually a bit oblivious, but the woman next to Walter Vance was just sticking way too close to him. It was definitely not a normal social distance.

Walter Vance was suddenly jolted sober. He quickly turned the cara away. "What are you talking about?" He shifted to the side as he spoke. "That was just a friend. Everyone’s drunk, so don’t overthink it, Jenna."

"Jenna, I’m always working hard for our future. I’m so busy at the company I can barely catch my breath. I finally get so ti to relax with my friends, and you actually suspect ?"
