Yao Tao was beyond excited. The boss lady hadn’t co back for several holidays before, so this New Year’s visit was indeed surprising, but more than anything she was happy because she could finally show the boss lady the results of her efforts in taking care of the hostay.
She had tended the flowers and plants in the yard very well. The seasonal vegetables had already been planted, with so ready to eat soon and others ready by spring.
"Boss lady, there aren’t many cured ats and sausages left hanging from the ceiling. I’ve ordered a year pig from the village chief, so we’ll smoke so cured ats and sausages after we slaughter it."

Leading Gu Yuan along the way, Yao Tao chatted non-stop like a spinning top, saying so much.
Gu Yuan listened attentively, occasionally asking a question.
In the pool next to the grape trellis, the fish had been replaced with ornantal fish. Mainly, Yao Tao didn’t like eating fish, and the ones she raised didn’t grow large enough to sell well.
Gu Yuan sat down by the grape trellis, and Yao Tao busily and happily washed a plate of fruit to bring over.

Yao Tao was quick on her feet.
The two collaborated on the work.
Yao Tao was very swift in changing the bedding. Halfway through, she rembered sothing. After Gu Yuan left, when she ca to tidy up the hostay and clean the room, she found a letter.
But the letter had no signature. Knowing the boss lady would eventually return, she decided to give it to her then, so Yao Tao had put the letter in the cabinet.
"Boss lady!!"
Yao Tao was about to ntion it to Gu Yuan.
But saw that Gu Yuan was on the phone. Just then, Gu Yuan turned her head at the shout, but still had the phone to her ear. Yao Tao knew not to disturb the boss lady while she was on the call, so she said, "Finish your call first, then I’ll tell you."
Gu Yuan nodded.
The call was from Dao An, who had many things to report to Gu Yuan since tomorrow was New Year’s Day. Dao An didn’t want to bother Gu Yuan tomorrow, so he gathered everything to report today.
The call lasted about half an hour.
By the ti Gu Yuan finished the call, Yao Tao was already off busy with other things.
However, there was a letter on the bed, unsigned and looking quite new. Gu Yuan wondered if it was sothing Yao Tao left during the bedding change.
Gu Yuan picked up the letter and placed it on the cabinet. Thinking it over, she decided it wasn’t right and intended to give it back to Yao Tao. Just as she stepped out of the room, Yao Tao hurriedly ran up to her, "Boss lady, soone’s here for you."
"For ?"
"Yes, it’s a man, tall and handso, very handso." Yao Tao’s eyes were sparkling, seeming to confirm that the visitor was indeed handso.
Gu Yuan handed the letter to Yao Tao and headed downstairs.
Yao Tao looked down at the letter in her hand, scratching behind her ear, "Hey... isn’t this the letter I took out from the cabinet for the boss lady earlier? It seems it hasn’t been opened yet."
Yao Tao chased after her, following behind Gu Yuan, "Boss lady, boss lady, this letter is... Oh! It’s him looking for you, that person standing on the doorstep."

"Take a seat here, Yao Tao will make tea." Gu Yuan gestured.
Yao Tao nodded, "Right away."
But first, she handed the letter to Gu Yuan, "Boss lady, I found this letter under the bed when I was cleaning your room and changing the sheets after you went back to the city."
Gu Yuan was surprised, "My letter?"
