Third Person POV

Skellige.

...

...

They continued to travel across the island as soon as they left that city in a more discreet manner, after all, they were forced to do so after Ciri drew so much attention in the arena, putting on a hood.

"Ah, a field with a few villages ahead... Shall we visit them?" Ciri asked curiously as they kept riding.

"We won't be well received... After all, people in small villages are very suspicious of strangers, better to just pass by them." Madara said, knowing that unlike the city, they would be t with hostility there—no one wanted trouble, and the people of Skellige naturally didn't like foreigners.

Madara turned his eyes toward the tallest mountain in the area. "Maybe it's ti we start heading there. I want to get this done before the day ends." Madara said, aware that they had already spent most of the morning in that last city.

"I think you're right," she said, pausing briefly before continuing. "You know... you could have told Derek your na... he would've been thrilled." Ciri laughed at the comnt.

The boy had said that Madara Uchiha, the man who changed the entire war by himself and defeated all the Nilfgaardians on the continent, was a big fan of the tale.

"I bet he doesn't believe I'm just a guy who only recently entered adulthood." Madara said softly.

"Still, he would've liked to hear your na." Ciri said.

"It won't take long for them to find out who I am, once you said your na in the middle of the arena. After all, soon, everyone will know that Cirilla, Princess of Ciri, married Madara Uchiha in Ard Skellige." Madara replied gently.

"That's true, I'm sure we'll beco famous in that village." Ciri returned with her cheerful smile, as she spoke.

They continued calmly after that, exchanging so quiet conversation with each other.

They ca upon the first village where there was a na on the gate, so people were working—drawing water from the nearby river, working the fields, and cleaning so dead animals. Obviously, they had drawn attention, as everyone who could see them at the entrance whispered among themselves, while the children were the most curious, staring intently and even pointing fingers at them.

"Seems like a quiet village, but there's a notice board." Ciri said, seeing the center of the village from where she was.

"That's true. But better if we don't get involved." Madara said.

"Are you sure? There aren't many witchers here... it'd be a problem to leave monsters terrorizing villages..." Ciri said with so concern.

"Let's move on, I'll leave a clone to handle everything alone." Giving in to Ciri's request, Madara moved with Ciri out of the villagers' sight and created a wood clone with a large amount of chakra. It could easily perform almost all types of jutsu and abilities he had.

They then continued their journey—the clone would take care not only of that village but of others as well, as his chakra could keep the clone active for more than a whole week.

They headed toward the mountain, seeing the last remnants of vegetation with little snow. The temperature began to drop rapidly, and the sun high in the sky made no difference. Madara simply began summoning so warm cloaks and handed one to Ciri while he also put on his coat.

"Do you know the way? It seems pretty divided..." Ciri soon noticed, and Madara also took a look at the mountain. There were structures there, even small huts along the slope in so parts of the mountain, perhaps villages.

"I don't know... but that won't be a problem... We can solve this simply by running in a straight line to the top, but for that, we'll need to leave our horses in that village before continuing." Madara said.

"Yes." She said.

They started up the mountain road and began to follow the well-built path, even fit for carts, and thus began their journey up the second tallest mountain in Skellige. Being the tallest of them all, the mountain lay north of Ard Skellige, and according to Madara's mories, the Sunstone was there—an artifact that Madara didn't know exactly what it did, but it was powerful and useful for summoning the Wild Hunt for the final battle.

The climb was peaceful until the snow began to blow against them like a small blizzard as they gained altitude, continuing along the snow-covered road.

While following a slope, Madara opened his eyes in surprise as he felt sothing in that area. The road led into a cave, but there was sothing at the edge of the mountain outside the cave—Madara could sense it.

"I'm going to check sothing." He said and jumped from his own saddle as Ciri looked on in surprise, watching him reach the area above the cave as he began running along the wall to reach the top.

His feet sank into the snow as he analyzed the area in front of him, imdiately seeing sothing interesting. A glow appeared beside him, and Ciri materialized, a bit confused and curious.

Her eyes followed where Madara was looking, and she widened them upon seeing what lay ahead.

"A place of power!" She said, her voice almost muffled by the wind carrying a good amount of snow at that altitude.

"Yes... I'm going to ditate... But inside the cave will be better." He said, approaching as he leapt to the spot in a single jump and touched the stone glowing purple.

"I've always wondered what powers these stones." Ciri walked toward him as she asked.

"Power stones are a pure chaos rift into our world, that's why they always glow. The rifts were created by cracks in space... The stone is then built around it by humans." Madara said.

"I'd say elves..." Ciri said.

"That's true." Madara agreed—after all, the elves lived in these lands years before n arrived and waged war with them, driving them out and reducing their population. The power stones have existed even before year 0. And they are now more than 1200 years beyond that.

Madara waited for the system to beep, and finally, he managed to increase his system by 1%.

[Total power: 53%]

Madara was getting closer and closer to the Eternal Mangekyou. He hadn't received it yet, and perhaps it would still take so ti, knowing the power level was too great—more than Mokuton alone could contribute. After all, he could crush armies and cut mountains with just a few movents of a perfect Susanoo.

The amount of chakra began to grow inside him after that; he felt the power increasing rapidly. It wasn't like before, gaining many tis his current level of chakra, but it was certainly a good additional amount, considering he already had a reserve comparable to that of a tailed beast.

To many, he already had an infinite amount of chakra.

Ciri saw the explosion of chakra coming from him, a sight she was quite used to, with him always entering ditation to control the additional chakra.

He stood up a mont later, after the chakra around his body returned inside.

"I'll finish this inside the cave. You're going to look like a snowman with all that snow piling up on your white hair." He said, brushing the accumulated snow off his clothes.

"Look who's talking." Ciri mocked.

Madara sat inside the cave, with the horses growing quite calm as they waited for them to finish. He stayed only 10 minutes before getting up, with the amount of chakra he had quickly gathered alongside his other reserves.

"I was thinking..." Madara spoke suddenly.

"Maybe the ti has co for to train other techniques beyond the areas I already have..." Madara seed thoughtful about it.

"Why do you sound hesitant about that?" Ciri couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

"I didn't want to lose what defines ." Madara said, and Ciri looked at him strangely.

"What a half-witted excuse, don't you think?" Ciri teased.

Madara didn't want to stray too far from the powers that defined Madara himself, thinking it would be odd—a Madara using a rasengan? Perhaps. But he could also make great use of those abilities, so he decided to follow that path and train other ways of manipulating chakra.

Madara had a certain affinity with Yin/shadow—it was no coincidence that he was the other side of the reincarnation coin of Ashura, alongside Indra. Ashura was Yang—it was no coincidence that only Hashirama, with the two elents of earth and water, could produce Mokuton thanks to the special life elent, which was the secret behind why Hashirama succeeded where no one else could, except a few later on, but without as much potential.

Which also showed that Madara acquired Yang at that point. And he could use jutsus of the light and life elents. But he was naturally more powerful in the shadow elent.

'Let's start increasing my jutsu arsenal once we return to the continent.' He decided, and though Ciri saw him deep in thought, she didn't interrupt him.

She had no idea how to share in Madara's lines of thought—after all, she was in a different category and wouldn't understand chakra.

In any case, Madara walked over to the horses, and Ciri followed him. They continued their climb up the mountain without encountering anyone along the way. Exiting the cave, which turned out to be larger than expected, with even so paths leading deeper inside, they finally erged and continued along the outside once again.

They eventually ca upon a snow-covered village with lanterns glowing from within the houses. There was no tavern or anything of the sort—only residents, as the mountain was rarely accessed by outsiders, trade was weak, and the people always worked together to survive.

Strange faces appeared in the windows, staring at them with curiosity as they passed through the village, no one bothering them in the small snowstorm.

"We'll leave the horses at the next stop. The snow's getting heavier and heavier, and it won't be safe for them entering that cloud." Madara said as they neared a massive cloud covering the mountain. It was easy to tell that they'd be in a dangerous situation, while Ciri and Madara could handle it better on their own.

In any case, they found a ruined area, but with structures solid enough to keep the horses safe.

They were still covered in snow, but a blast of fire from Madara quickly turned the snow into water, revealing the structure to them.

Once they left the horses, with no danger of the snow burying them—since what Madara had lted looked like several weeks' worth of snowfall—they continued their journey with just the two of them.

"You want to keep following the trail?" Madara raised an eyebrow as they kept walking along the path, entering the cloud.

"Of course, what fun is there in skipping to cut the path or teleporting? There's no sense of adventure in that!" Ciri exclaid as Madara shrugged.

"Let's go then." Madara said, and they vanished into the cloud.

At that mont, they were not far from the top. It was only a matter of ti before they reached the giant now.
