The Wolfless Luna's Revenge: Returning With His Secret Twins Chapter 218
[SAMANTHA’s Point of View]
“NO!”
I was so in shock and full of anger that I lunged straight at Olivia and ramd her against the boulder behind her, wanting to crush her ribs and her back against it. But then she disappeared in front of like a cloud of smoke, teleported behind , and hit with the bottom of the hilt of the dagger on the back of my neck.
“Samantha!”
Soone scread my na, but I had no idea whose voice it was after I nearly fainted. My vision darkened for a second, and my heart slowed until a voice inside reminded I couldn’t pass out in a situation like this. The adrenaline pumped into my veins like gasoline, waking up as I recovered from the blinding pain in my neck.
My mind was still fuzzy when I felt arms pulling up and found Killian and Dominic on each of my sides, glaring at Olivia and the roaring giant silver wolf.
“Are you alright?”
“Y-Yeah,” I answered Dominic as I blinked twice. Dominic, on the other hand, glared at Killian when he saw the MoonStone Alpha holding my arm, threatening him to imdiately let go of . Killian didn’t let go, though, as if provoking my husband more, which made Dominic’s nose flare, looking so pissed.
“Watch out!”
The three of us dove to the ground when the giant silver wolf swung its massive claw at us, nearly cutting us all three in half. I saw how Dominic’s eyes widened as he grabbed and carried out of the giant’s range like I weighed nothing to him.
“I-Is that—how did she get out of her g*dd*mned cage?!” I gasped in both shock and horror as I watched Olivia provoke the giant animal. “Who got her out of her cage!?”
Dominic looked shocked as well, but didn’t dare move away from , scared that the beast might target again. His hands gripped my arm tight, not letting do anything but stay with him while we both watched the beast howl with pain in the clear, starry night sky.
As the beast’s attention went to Olivia, who avoided its claws in graceful movents as if she were dancing in front of the creature, Killian stood and took sothing from his rucksack. He threw the powder of moongrass on the giant silver wolf, scattered it above the beast, and spots where it landed fud, burning the fur and skin as it slowed its movent for seconds.
“No! Don’t hurt it, Killian!” I scread at him with dread in my eyes as the giant silver wolf looked at with sudden gentleness in its eyes as if it was trying to ask for help from . “Don’t hurt him!”
“Are you serious?! This f*cking beast will rip us into ribbons if we don’t do sothing, Samantha! We have to at least slow it down—”
“You’re just making it angrier, Killian!” I snarled at him, feeling furious as I shook off Dominic’s hands on my arms. My husband released , but he stayed behind as if he still intended to stop if I attempted to calm the beast for the second ti. He was calm, but I felt the tension in every inch of his body as he glared back at the giant.
My mouth gaped in horror when I saw Olivia attack it again, throwing her daggers that pierced through the giant’s shoulders, sending it roaring in pain. The giant’s purple eyes glowed much brighter this ti, and it didn’t hesitate to land a deadly blow as it tried to chase Olivia with its razor-sharp teeth.
The ground shook as the giant beast ran towards Olivia. Trees were taken down, and as a result, birds started to fly away from the scene while Dominic observed. Killian and I thought of a plan for how to ta the giant silver wolf after Olivia destroyed my chance to negotiate with it.
“Stop it, Olivia! If you keep on doing this, we will lose the Moon Wolf Spring!” I scread at her in dread as she kept on dodging the beast’s teeth and claws. “You are just making things worse!”
Olivia glared in my direction as she smirked at tauntingly. She yelled; her voice sounded delirious, “You think I will let you go to the Moon Wolf Spring and save f*cking Dominic?! NO, SAMANTHA!!! The Curse will kill him, and I will make sure of it!”
She backflipped as she dodged another attack from the giant silver wolf, who was already bleeding badly, and I started to panic as my forehead started to form cold bullets of sweat that ran down my face. I had to do sothing to stop her! I had to stop her!
But the beast had cornered Olivia; when she failed to notice it, she jumped too far and beca stuck between three boulders, unable to escape as the beast quickly approached her, ready to rip her to pieces with its massive claws.
“F*ck!” Killian barked as his jaw tightened.
“Killian, no!”
My eyes widened as I watched Killian go after Olivia, saving her after she was stuck between the rocks. I was baffled at what I saw. I never expected he would save the Phantom Lady after what Olivia did to Brianne. Even Dominic was stunned at what he saw, and his mouth gaped while watching the two struggle.
“KILLIAN! WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?!” I scread at him as I stepped away from my husband, who grabbed my arm once again. “YOU’RE GOING TO KILL YOURSELF!”
“What the f*ck are you doing?! Why are you helping ?!” Olivia snarled at Killian, who was pulling her out of the rocks.
“Just shut your f*cking mouth and pull yourself out!” Killian snarled back.
I shook Dominic’s hand away from as I glared at him. “We can’t just watch them, Dominic! We have to help!”
“No, it’s too dangerous, Samantha! I can’t let you go there when that monster is out of control! I can go there and help, but please stay away from it!” Dominic’s jaw tightened as he glared back at ; his eyes were dark as the dire situation escalated quickly.
Dominic was right. If he didn’t want to go and help Killian and Olivia, I never wanted him to risk his life and get here either. We stared into each other’s eyes; both were scared of the possibility that we might lose each other if we went there to face the beast.
We weren’t cowards, but losing a mate was the scariest thing a werewolf could imagine.
I held Dominic’s wrist and squeezed it, telling him that I never wanted him to go, either, as the corners of my eyes stung with tears. I bit my bottom lip hard as it started to quiver, and he understood the fear that suddenly etched on my face.
“I’ll stay here with you,” he murmured and then kissed the top of my head as he held close. “I know this is hard, Samantha, but the kids need us. We have to go back to them. Alive.”
Swallowing the lump in my throat, I had no choice but to cling to my husband and hope that Killian would make it in ti. I still couldn’t understand why he had to do it, but then I realized what Devon said to us when he video-called his dad.
Could it be that he had been having a dream about Olivia’s childhood past? Could it be that the Moon Goddess tried to communicate with my son about Olivia’s pain? My eyes widened as I began to understand and solve the puzzle that had been bothering since we went down the valley.
I never wanted to think that it might be true, but I was afraid my own son had let the Phantom Lady escape from her cage.
Both Killian and Devon think that Olivia was just a victim of all of this. But how could I make myself believe after she killed and destroyed so many lives in Silver Crescent?!
Without a single thought, I jumped away from Dominic and went straight to Killian and Olivia. My instinct told not to go, but my heart told that I had to do sothing and not just watch Killian die for Olivia. It happened so fast, and yet it looked as if everything was in slow motion as I watched the giant beast run towards us. Killian couldn’t believe what I did when I grabbed the Phantom lady’s other arm and pulled her out of the boulders together with Killian.
The MoonStone Alpha and I scread as we both pulled Olivia with all our strength, making it in ti before the giant silver wolf’s claws reached the three of us.
Olivia’s eyes were both wide with confusion as we stared at each other. There was sha etched on her face as emotions swam in her eyes when he stood up and clutched her injured arm, still staring at with disbelief.
“Samantha! Behind you!”
I was too stunned to move when I heard my husband scream my na, and it was already too late when I saw the beast standing behind —its claws were poised above , ready to tear apart.
“NO!”
For a second, I thought the sky fell on when I watched Dominic shield from the claws of the giant beast. Blood splattered on my face as I watched the agony in my husband’s eyes as the massive claws of the giant tore his back, and I couldn’t move, couldn’t think, and was too petrified at what I saw until Dominic knelt in front of , weak and almost fainting.
Killian scread in anger and threw another batch of moongrass on the creature, sending it flinching back away from both and my husband.
“Use the pendant, love,” Dominic murmured in between pain as I grabbed his cheeks to look at his pale face.
“I-I’m so sorry, Dominic—”
“I am alright,” he groaned as he winced. “Get the pendant and show it to the creature once again.”
With panic in my heart, I searched for the necklace in the pocket of my jeans and threw it above us with a scream of anger. Light flashed from the pendant, causing the giant beast to flinch until it recognized the source, at which point its pupils began to widen. A familiar scent—my scent of lilac and vanilla—filled the air, freezing the beast as it whimpered.
“Good girl,” I heard Dominic murmur as he gave a small, weak smile. I helped him get up from the ground and we both watched the beast and the dazzling light.
