After a week of healing and Su Yan changing the rmaid’s dressings three tis a day,
the rmaid’s wounds were gradually beginning to scab over and heal.
Xiao Hua spoke up,
"Host, autumn is coming soon. In ’Princess and Beast’, it was on an autumn day that the girl’s father passed by and was captured by the Beast."
Su Yan listened and nodded her head.
After thinking for a while, Xiao Hua continued,
"Now that the Host has beco the Beast, the plot might be slightly affected. To ensure that you can correctly capture the old father, you’ll have to personally keep watch."
The plot being affected, and the unknown consequences that the spatial distortion of the Fairy Tale World might bring, made Xiao Hua very cautious, fearing any deviation from the track. What if their Host remained a beast and could not turn back into a human? What then?
Hearing Xiao Hua’s words, Su Yan felt they made a lot of sense.
So, every evening she would return to the entrance of the castle to keep watch.
Her castle was on a mountaintop; besides that main female character’s father, nobody would co.
During the day, she would visit the Little rmaid to inspect its wounds, change its dressings, or share als together.
At dusk, she would leave for the castle entrance, and at night return to her room to sleep.
Every day was arranged full to the brim.
Gradually, Su Yan and the Little rmaid were no longer so unfamiliar with each other.
After all, the affection grew through the shared als over the days.
Occasionally, they could even exchange a few words.
This day, the Little rmaid dined elegantly once again.
Its tail swished in the clear water as it drank leisurely.
She ate a thick steak, one that was equivalent to five of Su Yan’s steaks.
With bloodstains showing upon cutting it open, sprinkled with so pepper, Donna Jane savored it deliciously.
Su Yan, the lion, consud a steak much smaller compared to hers, cooked thoroughly, emitting a fragrant aroma without a trace of blood.
Initially, Su Yan wanted to use a knife and fork, but alas, these hands... weren’t quite suitable. After a few clumsy attempts,
She decisively grabbed a whole steak with the fork and started gnawing on it.
Donna had seen her clumsy deanor many tis, but still found herself amused each ti by the silly appearance.
Putting down her cutlery, she propped up her chin with one hand,
"Su Yan,"
a pleasant voice called out.
Su Yan blinked and looked over,
"Hmm?"
The beastly golden eyes were full of confusion.
Donna thought, this really didn’t seem like a lion at all.
Those eyes, without a trace of sharpness, were naively foolishly innocent.
Was that why she hadn’t eaten her in one bite the first ti they t?
Well, the taste of lion at, she reflected, should be delicious.
But having not had it for so long, it lingered in her mind as a craving.
After being stared at by Su Yan for a long while, Donna ca back to her senses and smiled showing her neat, white teeth,
"You don’t know how to use a knife and fork?"
Su Yan looked at the large piece of beef on her fork.
She quietly placed it back on the plate.
Then, she heard Donna’s instructive voice,
"Left hand with a fork, right hand with a knife, take it slow, there’s no need to rush."
Su Yan actually wanted to just gnaw, but listening to Donna’s words, she silently and clumsily sliced through the delicious steak with scratchy cuts.
When she finally took the first bite, she heard Donna’s praising voice beside her,
"Su Yan is really smart."
Su Yan chewed on the beef.
The Little rmaid wriggled the tip of its tail, expressing its rare joy.
