Chapter 1490: Chapter 1490 Yang Qingyin Disappeared Again
The next day, Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing accompanied Ouyang Feifei to attend a cooperation eting with officials from Shan Province.
To Luo Ziling’s surprise, Ouyang Feifei introduced his position at the Northern Group to the officials in attendance. She also formally introduced Luo Yuqing as an incoming executive at Qingniao dia but did not ntion that the two of them were siblings.
Ouyang Feifei, at twenty-four nominal years of age and twenty-two actual years, contrasted sharply with Luo Ziling, who had just turned twenty nominal years old after the New Year, and Luo Yuqing, who was twenty-two. All three were so young and strikingly attractive that their appearance stunned everyone and drew all eyes toward them.
Their identities, once introduced, elicited even greater astonishnt.
Among the principal representatives of the local governnt that day was Wang Keming, who, besides being the administrative head of Chang’an City, held a concurrent party position in Shan Province. As a senior official with extensive knowledge of the power dynamics in the Capital, Wang Keming imdiately deduced Luo Ziling’s identity upon eting him.
Being so young yet holding a position within the Northern Group, and bearing a striking resemblance to Ling Ruonan, it was obvious that he was Ling Ruonan’s son.
Back in his university days, Wang Keming had been a classmate of Ling Ruonan and was familiar with the emotional entanglents between Ling Ruonan and Luo Xusheng, though he was less inford about the later conflicts. Regardless, he could make reasonable assumptions based on the little he knew.
Having deduced Luo Ziling’s identity, he imdiately understood why Luo Ziling had received such deference at the airport yesterday, with even Ouyang Feifei trailing behind him. He also speculated that Ouyang Feifei might very well be Luo Ziling’s girlfriend, which made sense considering the collaboration between Ouyang Feifei and Ling Ruonan.
Simple yet complex—this was the conclusion Wang Keming ca to as he pieced together the situation.
Despite her youth, Ouyang Feifei’s reputation in the business world had long been established. Managing the enormous Ouyang Family at her age was already a testant to her capability.
Wang Keming was quite familiar with Ling Ruonan’s ability and principles. He knew that if Ling Ruonan had placed her son in a key position within the Northern Group, she must have recognized Luo Ziling’s talent and planned to have him take the helm of the Northern Group in the future.
Indeed, those who thrive in the political sphere often possess a swift and sharp judgnt. Being able to analyze so much in such a short ti is no small feat.
During the eting with Ouyang Feifei, Wang Keming expressed his desire for cooperation with utmost sincerity. He laid out all potential preferential conditions, hoping to win over the astute Ouyang Feifei. Furthermore, he treated Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing with considerable respect and took their opinions into account during the conversation.
Ouyang Feifei handled matters with great decorum, frequently consulting Luo Ziling and Luo Yuqing for their views on various topics.
Luo Ziling didn’t offer much input, but Luo Yuqing spoke up on occasion—she was eager to prove her competence and to make others understand her noteworthy status. After all, she wasn’t fully confident yet, as she found it difficult to adapt to all the changes happening around her.
In fact, this was Ouyang Feifei’s first eting with Shan Province officials.
Initial business cooperation etings are usually exploratory, focused on gauging interest and reaching preliminary agreents rather than signing formal contracts. Ouyang Feifei promised on the spot that Lingyun Group would ramp up investnts in the western region, while Luo Ziling ntioned that the Northern Group’s pharmaceutical subsidiaries might consider establishing a factory in Chang’an.
“We all truly enjoy Chang’an, this ancient city that has stood for a thousand years,” Ouyang Feifei remarked near the end of the eting. “We’ll stay for a couple more days to absorb its rich historical atmosphere. I don’t rule out the possibility that we might invest in Chang’an’s tourism industry in the future.”
Ouyang Feifei’s comnt delighted Wang Keming.
If a partnership were truly established, it would be a major political achievent for him.
He cordially invited Ouyang Feifei, Luo Ziling, and Luo Yuqing to visit Chang’an more often and assured them he would be an excellent host.
Initially, Wang Keming intended to arrange a detailed itinerary for Luo Ziling and his group, even offering to assign soone to accompany them. However, Luo Ziling politely declined. “Thank you for your kindness, Mayor Wang, but we’d like to explore the city freely and imrse ourselves in its culture and history at our own pace.”
Seeing Luo Ziling’s insistence, Wang Keming did not press further. Instead, he wished them an enjoyable and fulfilling trip and offered his contact information, encouraging them to reach out if they encountered any issues and to share their thoughts on Chang’an’s developnt and construction.
“I never imagined that during our hasty visit to Chang’an, we’d be personally hosted by the mayor,” Luo Ziling remarked after the eting. “This proves how much one’s background can dictate their future—no amount of effort can compete with a good family origin.”
“Glad you understand,” Ouyang Feifei huffed smugly before adding, “And you’ll co to understand more in the future.”
“You talk as if you’re so wise elder,” Luo Ziling retorted, irked.
Ouyang Feifei ignored him.
“I need to learn more from Sister Feifei,” Luo Yuqing confided, now sowhat admiring Ouyang Feifei following the eting.
This was Luo Yuqing’s first ti witnessing Ouyang Feifei’s commanding presence as a formidable businesswoman.
She truly hadn’t expected soone less than two years older than herself to handle such high-ranking officials with such composure and ease. Unlike Ouyang Feifei, who exuded confidence and poise, Luo Yuqing had felt nervous throughout the eting.
“You two are cut from the sa cloth,” Luo Ziling remarked while gesturing with his index fingers. “But don’t emulate her bad habits.”
Angered by the comnt, Ouyang Feifei demanded, “What bad habits do I have?”
Equally curious, Luo Yuqing grabbed Luo Ziling’s hand, asking, “Tell , Ziling, what are Sister Feifei’s flaws that you can’t stand? Spill them now!”
“Figure it out yourself!” Luo Ziling retorted before darting up the stairs via the ergency staircase.
Watching Luo Ziling’s fleeing figure, Luo Yuqing stomped the ground angrily and cursed him.
The eting was held in their hotel’s conference room, as requested by Ouyang Feifei.
After the eting, they could go back to their rooms to change clothes and head out for sightseeing.
Once back in his room, Luo Ziling quickly shed his suit and donned casual travel gear.
Dressed for adventure, he imdiately went to look for Yang Qingyin.
Yang Qingyin hadn’t attended the eting, claiming she had no interest in it and simply wanted to sleep in.
However, to Luo Ziling’s surprise, when they returned to their rooms after the eting, Yang Xiaodong inford him that Yang Qingyin had already left.
The news shocked Luo Ziling.
Had this woman decided to play another round of her gas?
