This man, once saved by the Night Watcher and later joining their ranks, was fortunate enough to officially beco a Night Watcher on the eve of the final battle, and took part in the entire last phase of the Rat Extermination War.
After the war ended, Toby rested with the squad for a while, then hurried to this place before his eyes.
This place lay to the east of the Tower of Trial; apart from that pitch-black tower that looked like a city wall, everything around was barren and empty.
The only thing in sight were the construction Relics left around when the Tower of Trial was first built.
Now those sites had co back to life, and the entire area had turned into a bustling construction site.
Large numbers of Night Watchers, United Army troops, and all kinds of workers were scurrying back and forth over this land like ants.
"Sa damn scene again—don’t tell they’re about to start another huge project?" Toby’s teammate beside him couldn’t help muttering under his breath.
"What do you an, ’again’?" Toby asked, puzzled.
The teammate pointed at the pitch-black high wall and said, "You think that thing just popped out of nowhere? We laid that ourselves back then, brick by brick. Compared to that, this site right now is nothing."
As he spoke, there was a trace of pride in his tone.
"Alright, quit grumbling. More squads will be arriving soon; we have to finish the task assigned by the council in the shortest ti possible.
"The sooner we finish, the easier things will be for us later. All of you, keep your Spirit up—this is the top priority after the war!" the Captain said sternly.
At the Captain’s words, all the Night Watchers behind him imdiately stood at attention and answered in unison, "Yes, sir!" Then they blended into the "ant-like" busy crowd.
At this stage, the vast majority of the Night Watchers’ and the United Army’s manpower and material resources had been concentrated here.
anwhile, the other forces within the United Army were also working actively to restore their own production and construction.
After all, the war was over; on lands laid waste by the rat swarms, they urgently needed to restore national production and developnt as quickly as possible. In a sense, this war was not entirely a bad thing.
At the very least, it had completely swept away those nations and powers that had long been tottering and rotten to the core, forcing them to shed their skins and be reborn.

"You can’t say that. His Highness is usually very busy too," Alyris said softly from the side.
Hearing Alyris, Bobo couldn’t even be bothered to raise his head. He snapped back, "It’s because you keep indulging him every day that he’s getting more and more out of line, pushing everything down the chain." As he spoke, his resentnt only deepened.
"Hmph, he doesn’t even have that much power left now. In theory, if a few of us put our heads together, we could just strip him of his position and shove him aside. I’d like to see if he’d still dare enjoy himself this much." The words were startling once spoken.
The others in the office imdiately lowered their heads when they heard this, pretending they hadn’t, ostrich-like.
"Oh, oh, count in!" Raelia, who had sohow slipped in without anyone noticing, suddenly leaned over.
"Count you in?" Bobo, still Furious, gave Raelia an up-and-down look.
"Fine, then—you go deal with Kana."
"?" Raelia pointed at herself, looking astonished.
"Yeah, you go."
Raelia suddenly pulled Bobo into her arms and said in a mock-coquettish tone, "Ugh, you just can’t stand to see doing well, can you."
As the few of them were fooling around, Alyris suddenly spoke up: "His Highness has co out and notified us to attend a eting."
"So he finally deigns to show his face," Bobo muttered, as Raelia dragged him out of the office.
When they arrived at the important conference room, many people were already seated. Kana sat in the main seat.
The mont Bobo saw who was present, his eyes lit up, because he spotted several unfamiliar faces—unfamiliar because these people seldom attended etings.
For example, those Giant Dragons, who had all taken on human form at the mont.
However, one guy was different from the rest: Bugreit. He had actually modified himself into the form of an Alchemy Robot, with hollow sections built into his body.
The Radiant Giant Dragon of old had now completely turned into an Alchemy Giant Dragon; even his aesthetics had shifted toward those of the mad Alchemists.
Alyris’s gaze was fixed intently on Kana. She keenly noticed the change in him, a faintly inhuman aura lingering around him.
Kana had always been serious at tis, but for the most part he’d been quite approachable. This obvious shift in aura was especially clear to Alyris.
Feeling Alyris’s gaze, Kana lifted his head to et her eyes, and a gentle smile appeared on his face. In an instant, that inhuman aura around him quietly dissipated.
Seeing this, Alyris finally relaxed and walked lightly to stand behind Kana.
Once everyone had arrived one after another, Kana spoke slowly: "The main reason I’ve called everyone here today is to discuss the Night Watcher’s direction of action from here on out.
"The war is over. We can finally take a breather, and we now have more ti and energy to handle the matters we had to set aside before. This is a key period for the Night Watcher to spread its wings and pursue grand designs, and we must seize it firmly."
Kana’s words set the tone for this eting. No one was surprised; they all nodded in agreent.
The Giant Dragons, however, looked a bit ill at ease. To put it bluntly, it just felt a little too Official.
In the past, whenever they needed to discuss sothing, it was just a few of them gathering casually, tossing ideas around and deciding things in a few sentences. Now that it was all so formal, they weren’t quite sure what to do with themselves.
"First of all, the East District of Ring Tower City. The East District will still take so ti to complete, but the core building was finished just yesterday.
"I think you all understand that the significance of this building lies in freeing our manpower, so we are no longer constrained by quotas.
"So the first item on the agenda is wishes. The quotas will be completely opened up, which raises the question: once the quotas are opened, how should we guide those who receive Blessing? How is the Adventurer’s House project progressing? Given its current level of completion, can it withstand the Impact of a large influx of people receiving Blessing?"
