After two straight months of trial and error, Jewel and I finally broke ground on our experint. After taking a scheduled sleep, I woke up to the sight of Jewel staring at with a smile on her face.
Over the course of four hours, one of her warriors I imbued with my energy had grown over three tis its original size. As I was walking around the warrior, inspecting every nook and cranny of the cutie, Jewel inford .
"The strength of the warrior has also tripled without any biomass consumption, its armour is more durable and it has developed a mutated gene." I scratched the stubble on my face in thought before asking what was mutated?
As though responding to , the Warrior suddenly opened her maw and a jet of flas escaped her mouth for five seconds before she closed it. I took re seconds after her maw was closed to open it back up and stick my head inside to investigate.
Imdiately I could tell sothing was different. To start, at the top of its mouth, I could see a small piece of tissue that is usually not present inside of a warrior's mouth. It was hard to the touch and as I touched it, I got a mild electric shock.
I then explored the rest of its mouth to find two small holes at the back of its throat that were not present before. I could guess what those were for, but Jewel felt like telling anyway. "There is a sac that has developed inside the bioform's thorax that is generating and storing thane at an elevated rate. It can use said thane to create a noxious fu through the holes in its mouth and can ignite the fus with the piezoelectric organ. The flas are then propelled out of the maw, which has clearly been influenced by your Psionic empowernt, my Apollo, as her insides have beco incredibly resilient to heat. One of the biggest weaknesses of my lower castes."
"Can you show again how you do it?" I relayed to the warrior as my head was still inside. After a mont of silence, Jewel spoke up again. "The warrior needs her maw closed to compress the thane so it jettisons out of her mouth, otherwise there will just be a small explosion inside of her mouth."
'Hmmm I see. Well that's a sha.' I thought before removing myself from the warriors maw. I began running tests on the warrior shortly after. Taking tissue and blood samples to see what my energy did to the creature, I was disappointed to find that like big Bertha over there, there was barely any change to its DNA and only a fraction of my energy was inside of the sample.
I sighed dejectedly and mumbled to myself. "So we are still nowhere near close to an answer as to why my energy does this? Other than its my potential manifesting itself in the new host?"
Jewel then walked up behind and gave a hug. It felt so nice as I leaned backwards and closed my eyes, trusting myself to her embrace. "We tried This ti, there were little to no results, but that is ok. You cannot stress yourself over the lack of progress when look there. Progress."
Opening my eyes, I knew where to look as the Warrior began walking over to 'big Bertha' and began jumping playfully around her leg. The two warriors had also developed greater intelligence, no longer needing permission from Jewel to think complex thoughts and I watched as they were clearly celebrating being two of Apollo's 'chosen.'
As I was watching the two of them, I spotted sothing as big Bertha went to lie down so she was head level with the other warrior. Her mark. My handprint...
I gave that to her because she had shown her silent journey alongside . She was there from the very beginning right here on Apollo minor. 'What if?' I suddenly broke from Jewel's embrace, much to her shock, and ran over to the new warrior.
Feeling my presence co closer, the warrior turned around just in ti for to grab the sides of its head as I pressed it against my forehead. "Relay to a mory that is just yours of the two of us. The older the better!"
All of a sudden, I was shown a mory of the Warrior consuming the carcass of so animal when all of a sudden, it turned towards the nearby city and imdiately sprayed its pheromones into the air. Its mate?!?
A mont later, another mory relayed into my mind. The warrior was carrying biomass when all of a sudden it heard a cry, up on the nearby hillock. its little-mate-spawn cried out in pain!!!
There was a large gap in the warrior's mory as I appeared to be close to ten years old in the next mory. The warrior had just brought an item on her back and received headpats, which caused her tappies before walking away.
And the final mory she relayed was pure excitent as I began pouring my Psionic energy into her thorax a week ago. After the relay was done, I smiled jubilantly at the warrior before I grabbed the sides of her thorax, picking her up and spinning her around while laughing.
After putting her down I shouted. "Oh you beautiful thing! Thank you! I would have been depressed the rest of the year if I couldn't figure anything out. At last, a connection!"
I then turned to Jewel, the intensity in my eye turning her on beyond belief as I stated. "Jewel. Every bioform that was here on Apollo-minor that is still alive and every bioform I have had pleasant encounters with, collect them and bring them here. It could simply be coincidence, but I think for my energy to work on the bioforms, they had to have had either proximity to or felt my love for them long before I attempted to give them my energy."
Jewel contemplated my theory. It made no sense to her. Why would those conditions be the reason for the capability to mutate? Still, her Apollo was a mystery to her with a reality bending Origin after all, who was she to put down his request? Besides, he looked so handso all worked up, she would have decapitated her own head if he asked with that look he has.
Jewel then did a quick pulse through her collective brain to check how many bioforms were left from the day that officially started her true existence. Most of the ships continued their assault into Spartari, most dying in the process, being consud by the hive to create more bioforms.
Those that ca back with Apollo had been scattered here and there or been put into storage. All in all, she only had roughly 100,000 bioforms remaining out of the billions present that day. She began working on recalling them imdiately, so were incredibly far away and could take up to a year to return.
"Keyla! Orchid!" I suddenly yelled. While they were not in my line of sight currently, but they were usually close enough to arrive at my presence in monts when called. Sure enough not even ten seconds went by before out of a nearby hole, the two beelined towards .
"Apollo, do you need sothing from us?" Orchid asked. "*Gasp* Is it sex ti!" Keyla followed up, causing to shake my head. "No, well maybe later. Start gathering anything you will need. I am going to go back to howorld for my things and then tomorrow we should head back to Spartari. I feel like having a month with all my lovelies before going to learn a new way to appreciate Psionics will be pleasant. I am also craving so really good food, I'm out of my dino-nuggies after all."
"What about your research, Apollo?" Orchid asked. She had not been watching through Jewel's perspective, as she had been getting used to not being in the link again. For she knew her ti to finally take her place in Apollo's mind was approaching and that ant being cut off from the link indefinitely.
"Has been put on hold, Jewel needs to collect my cuties and I am assuming it will take a long ti?" I asked, rotating my body to Jewel who relayed affirmation. Keyla began to jump around giddy smiling infectiously before screaming out.
"Gaaaah! I am so excited to go back! I can rub it into Sammy how much sex and killing we have taken part in! Oh all those bitches in the cult are going to be so jealous!"
As I turned to leave Keyla to her Psychotic rant about how she was going to explain every single second of my interaction with her to Samantha, I walked over to Jewel who audibly sighed at my declaration to leave.
Taking her hand I took a deep breath and said. "Jewel, my love. If you promise. PROMISE! Not to try and stick your tentacles through the breach again, I will use my far sight everyday so we can continue to see each other. Deal?"
Jewel's face broke out into a jubilant expression that was clear confirmation. The face was so sexy that I had to take a detour to express my appreciation for it before I made it to the teleport array, sending hurdling back to ho world, where a certain Pri was stirring up a storm.
