The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human? Chapter 17 The Average Villain
Before long, Liu Zheng had reached his destination.
Green Garden Mad City.
The residential area was quite large, probably consisting of sixty or seventy buildings.
Perhaps because his perception had been enhanced, he could finally see clearly inside the community from the outside.
The facades of the buildings looked new, just that the walls and ground were covered with smooth, green, vine-like plants, which were sowhat unsettling to look at.
"Rationality drop exemption successful."
The system prompt appeared again.
"Rationality dropping again, isn't that a bit ridiculous?"
Liu Zheng was sowhat dissatisfied.
If it weren't for the Legendary delivery man's vest, those two previous drops in rationality would probably have made him temporarily insane.
However, were it not for the attribute enhancent of the vest, he wouldn't have been able to see inside the community clearly.
In this mysterious world, having too high attributes might not be a good thing.
He rembered the first delivery of Deford-eyed Salmon Head Pizza, which seed to have a chance of granting "Spiritual Vision."
He wondered what this world would look like in "Spiritual Vision."
Dismissing the dangerous thought, Liu Zheng walked up to the community's security booth.
The facilities in Green Garden were clearly not as good as those in the luxurious villa complex, with only one security guard in the booth whose appearance and deanor were much inferior.
But it was still a bit better than in rlin District, at least he seed human.
"Stop, what's your business?"
The young, white-haired security guard challenged.
"Delivery."
Liu Zheng pointed to the vest he was wearing.
The style of this vest was the sa as those issued by restaurants, but in a different color.
"Delivering to where?"
"Building 4, room 606."
He responded.
"There's no Building 4 here, you've got the wrong place."
The security guard waved his hand dismissively.
"Isn't this Green Garden Mad City?"
Liu Zheng asked puzzledly.
"This is Green Garden Mad City indeed, but our community doesn't have a Building 4."
The security guard asserted confidently.
He gave the security guard a look, then made a phone call.
"Big bro, is it possible for the address on an order to be wrong?"
Liu Zheng inquired.
"Did you make a deal with that tree?"
Niu Ma didn't imdiately answer, he inquired about sothing else instead.
"I made a deal."
"What did you exchange for?"
Niu Ma asked with great interest.
"I've answered one of your questions already."
Liu Zheng didn't satisfy his curiosity again.
"Tsk, you're not being cooperative, kid. The address won't be wrong, but it might not be expressed in the usual way,"
Niu Ma said.
"I see."
He had an epiphany.
"Quick, tell , what did you trade for?"
Niu Ma urged.
"A Legendary delivery man's vest."
"Damn! Kid, you've got so serious luck."
Niu Ma exclaid, his tone filled with envy and admiration.
"Big bro, I'll talk about it after I make this delivery."
Liu Zheng hung up the phone and then headed into the community.
"What are you doing?"
The security guard stepped out of the booth and stopped him.
"I'll go in and look for it myself."
He said.
"Are you deaf or sothing? I said there's no Building 4, outsiders are not allowed to enter this high-end community,"
The security guard said impatiently.
"Unless?"
Liu Zheng proactively prompted him.
"Unless you give a pack of cigarettes, or, you seem to have quite a bit of at on you, I wouldn't mind taking a couple of bites,"
The security guard sized him up with a look of hunger in his eyes.
"Heh."
The familiar extortion routine, the security guards in this world were indeed mostly villains.
Cigarettes, Liu Zheng had smoked the last of them with Niu Ma.
at, he probably had quite a bit on him.
But not a single piece was spare.
Having to give a tribute when he was human, and now still when he was not, didn't that make his mutation all for nothing?
"Co on, let's take a picture together."
Liu Zheng extended a tentacle, resting it on the shoulder of the security guard.
"What are you doing?"
The security guard asked uncomfortably.
"Oh, nothing. Last ti I forgot to take a photo before killing the guy, so there was no comparison. Can't forget this ti."
He said with a smile, then pressed the cara button with another tentacle.
"Click."
A shutter sound rang out, and an image of a gloomy-faced security guard and a sunny-looking big boy appeared on the screen.
"Are you threatening ?"
The security guard said, displeased.
"Thinking so badly of others, you must have had your share of hardships, huh?"
Liu Zheng looked at him with pity, then slid through the photo album.
"Co on, smile more, and the world will be a better place. Look, he's got a beautiful smile."
On the screen were stacked bodies.
The body on top bore a bloodied grin.
"Do you recognize the uniforms they're wearing?"
He whispered in the security guard's ear.
"I, I recognize them."
The security guard swallowed.
"You only make so much in a month, why bother risking your life like the guards at the Legendary Estates?"
Liu Zheng said gently.
"Don't try to scare . That trick might work on them, but it won't work on ."
The security guard's eyes flickered, and his tone hardened once more.
"Is that so?"
Suddenly his third tentacle coiled and struck the security guard hard between the ribs.
"Ah!"
The security guard scread in agony, his body curling like a cooked crayfish.
Just as Liu Zheng was about to strike again, the security guard's hair exploded outward.
The needle-like hair pierced his body, going straight through him.
Liu Zheng felt a pricking pain all over his body, and even more terrifying was the sensation that sothing was being sucked out of him by those strands of hair.
"Quite a variety," he said.
He looked down and bit through the hair with his mouthparts stretched to the limit.
Though they were tough, they were just an appetizer before the enhanced teeth of Liu, the Legendary delivery man from the Ma Family.
With each hair that snapped like a broken rubber band, the security guard's face grew paler.
"No!"
He shook his head violently, retracting his hair and jumping back a good distance.
"Why can a re human bite through my hair?"
The security guard cried out in terror.
"Want to know? Give a piece of at, and I'll tell you."
Liu Zheng extended his long tongue, licking his teeth.
The holes in his body had already healed, and even the blood on his skin had been reabsorbed.
"Hmm, it's not impossible. Co in, and we'll talk."
The security guard went back to his booth, gesturing him inside.
"No need, I'd better go and make the delivery."
Liu Zheng said, glancing at the open door of the booth.
"Don't you want to know where Building 4 is?"
The guard hastily said.
"I think I can find it on my own."
He confidently replied.
"The owner of 606 is a nutjob; don't you want to know about him?"
The guard added.
"Oh? Let's hear it."
Liu Zheng was indeed interested and made his way toward the booth.
"That idiot, I greeted him kindly last ti and he accused of interrupting his inspiration, cursed out, and even threatened to complain about ."
The security guard said, aggrieved.
"What inspiration?"
He seized on the key word.
"You don't know? That guy writes novels. I've heard that..."
The security guard stopped.
"Heard what?"
Liu Zheng pressed him.
"Co inside. The caras outside can record our conversation."
The security guard pointed to the surveillance cara on the gate.
"Fine."
He took a few quick steps and then stopped,
Standing on the edge of the booth entrance.
"You really want to go in, don't you?"
Liu Zheng looked at the guard, a smile that was not quite a smile on his face.
The guard's expression, in turn, was much darker than before.
"Next ti you try to trick soone, rember to manage your expression better. Show so conviction, and don't be like those internet celebrities."
"Also, once you go in, don't co out again. If I see you wandering around later, I'll kill you."
Liu Zheng gave a friendly warning, then closed the booth door with a kick.
Leaving the guard whose expression was constantly changing, he walked into the district.
