"Quite a few, actually. All of them are TCM doctors from our hospital."
"So, why are you telling now?"
Xiao Li paused for a mont. "They probably ca to because they know about my relationship with you, Brother. But I don't want to get involved, and Doctor Ma also told not to."
"Doctor Ma said that two months ago, when the Chinese dicine Departnt was first established, no one wanted to join. Everyone wanted to stay in their original departnts. Only he and one other person followed you, Brother, to set up the Chinese dicine Departnt. He said to let them regret it now and that I shouldn't bother with them."
Du Heng's lips twitched slightly. "Listen to Doctor Ma. Don't get involved in this. Just focus on taking good care of your current patients."

Back ho, Wu Shengnan humd as she went into the kitchen. Du Heng, anwhile, had already retrieved his laptop and was typing away at a docunt.

"Nope, you carry on with your work," Wu Shengnan replied loudly. "Honey, I asked about wedding photos today. They sound pretty good. Pick a ti, and we can go check them out, okay?"
"You decide. Just let know once you've set a date," Du Heng answered without looking up.
"They ntioned outdoor locations, which would an going out of town. Do you have ti for that? If not, we can just get a few shots done at the studio, I guess?"
Du Heng was about to reply when he suddenly sensed sothing was amiss.
His eyes finally lifted from the computer screen, and he glanced stealthily towards the kitchen.
He saw Wu Shengnan standing at the kitchen doorway, her hand, busy with the vegetables, moving sporadically.
Du Heng understood imdiately. "Let's definitely do the outdoor shoot. What's the point of just taking photos in a studio?"
As soon as he said it, Wu Shengnan, who had been standing quietly at the kitchen entrance, lit up. She bounced over with the vegetables in a couple of steps, looking utterly ecstatic.
"Honey, you really want to do an outdoor shoot?"
Du Heng looked at Wu Shengnan with an amused smile. No matter how bold this woman usually appeared, she was, at heart, a woman who loved beauty and romance; it was in her nature.
"Of course. We haven't really gone out and done anything fun together in so long. This photo shoot is the perfect chance to make up for that."
Wu Shengnan's eyes seed to be smiling. Holding the vegetables, she sat down cross-legged beside Du Heng. "Honey, can we take photos by the seaside?"
"Seaside?" Du Heng was stunned. He'd thought of outdoor shots, but beach scenery hadn't crossed his mind. It wasn't that he didn't want to go; he simply hadn't considered it.
From childhood to adulthood, he had lived for thirty years. The farthest place he had ever been was the Capital last year, where he visited its famous lake, Houhai. However, Houhai has no sea. Other than that, the only significant body of water he had seen was the Yellow River that ran through the city. He had no real concept of a beach scene.
His slight hesitation, however, led Wu Shengnan to misunderstand. Her spirits fell a little as she said, "If you don't want to, then nevermind. We can find another chance in the future."
Du Heng hurriedly put his arm around Wu Shengnan's shoulder. "It's not that I don't want to go. I was just trying to picture what a beach scene would look like. But after thinking about it, all I can co up with are scenes from TV dramas. I don't actually know what the ocean looks like. That's why I suddenly froze."
"So, are you going or not?"
"Yes, of course!" Du Heng readily promised. "Have you decided how long it will take?"
Hearing Du Heng's affirmative, Wu Shengnan brightened up again. "One week. Do you think that's enough?"
"Is that enough ti? If we're going out, let's make sure we have a really good ti."
"Then let's make it ten days."
"Alright, you handle the arrangents. Let know once it's scheduled, and I'll arrange my work accordingly."
Wu Shengnan leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, then, vegetables in hand, bounced back towards the kitchen.
At that mont, she looked nothing like a criminal police officer; she seed like a completely different person from when they first t.
When they sat down at the dining table, Wu Shengnan casually turned on the TV, its sound providing background noise for their al.
"Honey, didn't you participate in so show? When is it going to air?"
"I heard it's today."
"Really?" Wu Shengnan imdiately grabbed the remote control. "Which channel? I want to see if my husband looks handso on TV!"
