Royd, with a sowhat stiff expression, turned Gu Shengyin’s hand around in his own.
Upon closer inspection, you could see a slight redness at the base of his ears.

Gu Shengyin looked at his reddened ear tips, stifling a laugh, and mimicked his gesture, standing on tiptoe to kiss his left cheek.
Royd, satisfied, turned and left.
Back at his Duke’s mansion, the butler reported that Lord Louis Wise had been waiting for a long ti.
Royd had expected Louis Wise would co.
He handed over the riding crop in his hand to the butler and went straight to the study.
"Your Grace the Duke..." Louis Wise rushed up as soon as he saw him but after calling out, he didn’t know how to start.
