Gu Shengyin was lost in her thoughts when Royd returned.
She noticed that Royd seed to be holding sothing in his hand.
He walked over to the table, sat down, and then pushed the item in his hand toward Gu Shengyin.
It was a very exquisite little box, seemingly made of gold, adorned with many large gemstones.
Rather than being a container, it looked more like a delicate piece of art.
Royd looked at Gu Shengyin with a sowhat urging expression, as if wanting her to open it right away.
Gu Shengyin was curious about what could be inside such a delicate box.
She put down her folding fan and placed her hand on the clasp. With a "click," the box opened.
Gu Shengyin had imagined it might hold an exquisite work of art, perhaps precious stones or beautiful jewelry.
But it was none of these. Inside the little box was a whole box neatly filled with honor badges, crafted of gold, glimring brilliantly in the sunshine.

Royd simply watched her quietly and said, "There’s another layer underneath."

Gu Shengyin reached her hand inside and indeed found a small chanism in the compartnt of the box.
After removing the box full of badges, she found underneath many sheets of white paper, so even tinged with yellow.
Glancing at Royd, he was watching her intently: "Open it and see."
Gu Shengyin took out two pieces of paper and unfolded them in front of him.
Gu Shengyin looked at Royd with so surprise.
These two sheets of paper were deeds—a castle deed and an estate deed.
Beneath them was a thick stack of papers, making it easy to guess what they were about.
Gu Shengyin put down the papers in her hand and asked Royd, "What is this?"
Royd did not glance at the box; his attention was fully on Gu Shengyin.
"I read in a book once that when you love soone, you should share your most precious possessions and all your wealth with them."
Royd said, "The badges above are my honor and what I’m willing to protect with my life; below are all my assets. Now, I am willing to give them all to you."
Even Gu Shengyin couldn’t help but be moved by these direct and passionate words.

Gu Shengyin chuckled softly, "But Royd, we’re not at that point yet. These are things you should be giving to your future wife."
Royd furrowed his brows, "You and I have already expressed our feelings. Are you saying you don’t plan to marry ? If you want to hold the wedding right away, it might be inconvenient, given my current sensitive identity, and being with could have a negative impact on you..."
He frowned, seemingly seriously considering the feasibility of the situation.
Gu Shengyin watched him and finally couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
She reached out her hand and covered his, "No, I won’t marry anyone else. I swear to the Goddess of Nature, my husband will be you alone."
