Chapter 67: Chapter 67: The Duke’s Heir VS The Underdog Female Supporting Character (Part 7)
Joanna seed sowhat dazed. She glanced at Gu Shengyin, stomped her foot hard, and walked away.
Gu Shengyin asked the owner to send the items to the Duke’s mansion and walked on the street with Lilith.
Lilith leaned in, gossiping, “Joanna likes His Royal Highness the Second Prince. She knew that His Royal Highness asked the Queen for a Siase Cat, and she definitely wanted to get so Slender Grass to please the Prince.”
Her tone was sowhat schadenfreude, “She definitely didn’t expect that the Prince had already given it to you.”
At this point, Lilith mysteriously said to Gu Shengyin, “Nika, do you think the Prince likes you?”
She seriously sized up Gu Shengyin and, touching her chin, said, “Nika, you are so good-looking; if I were a gentleman, I would definitely marry you!”
Gu Shengyin’s response to her was an expressionless ignore.
“Okay, okay, just kidding!” Seeing that Gu Shengyin was ignoring her, Lilith ran up from behind.
“I have sothing to tell you,” she said mysteriously, “Have you ever been to the underground beast-fighting arena in the Southern City?”
The underground beast-fighting arena? Gu Shengyin’s eyes lit up.
Seeing her interest, Lilith couldn’t help saying proudly, “Kyle got so invitations—you know, those tickets are hard to get without connections. How about the 2nd of next month? Do you want to co with us and see it?”
Of course, Gu Shengyin was willing.
The underground beast-fighting arena was one of the darkest places in the Royal City of the Carter Empire, opening once a month to the public. They put up slaves and artificially bred Demon Beasts to duel, providing entertainnt for the nobility.
Such places weren’t highly esteed by the true top-tier nobility of the Empire, but they wouldn’t forbid their offspring from going there to broaden their horizons.
Every warrior, deep down, harbored a longing for the bloody showdowns of strength. Gu Shengyin was no exception.
Moreover, for these nobles living in comfortable castles, seeking thrills was in their nature.
Seeing Gu Shengyin nod, Lilith seed very excited, “Then it’s settled! That day, the academy is off; we’ll pick you up in the morning!”
Eve Heather felt so tired.
The gentleman in the necklace seed very urgent. Besides the ti allocated for eating and resting, she spent almost all her ti on the road. She finally arrived at the Royal Capital yesterday only to be mocked and toyed with by a group of young nobles.
Finally unable to bear it, she used the magic taught by the gentleman in the necklace and hit one of them hard.
To her surprise, it turned into a disaster! That noble offspring died on the spot.
She had been chased for an entire day and night, just now having a mont to catch her breath.
“Sir, I can’t walk anymore,” she said, panting and leaning against the wall as she sat down.
The man in the necklace spoke, “You have lost them.”
Eve Heather was relieved, trusting greatly in the mysterious gentleman’s capabilities.
As she relaxed, the fatigue nesting in her body ca crashing over her, making her feel almost sleepy.
“Soone is coming!” a deep voice warned.
Eve Heather’s eyes opened instantly, her innate vigilance allowing her to react in a mont.
“It’s not the group who is chasing you.” Curled up, Eve was huddled in the corner, looking just like the common little beggars seen on street corners.
She hoped these people wouldn’t notice her.
But things often go contrary to one’s wishes.
