Jurors are the key to the entire case hearing. Both of them were terrified of being handed a losing verdict by these very jurors they had selected.
"This idea is probably unrealistic," Chen Tiankuo, who was listening nearby, shook his head with a wry smile. "There are many religious believers in As City. If we draw randomly, it’s inevitable that so believers will be included. The court won’t allow conditional random screening."
The court selects these individuals completely randomly from the personal records of As City citizens. If conditions were attached, it would violate the jury system, and the court wouldn’t permit it. The best course of action now was to filter out the devoutly religious and those who had made donations to religious organizations, thereby reducing the difficulty of the upcoming trial. However, after hearing their discussion, Qin Mu shook his head. "Just these five. Send the remaining nineteen back and have the court select new ones."

Fierce? How fierce can he be? George raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "I admit he has so skill, not what you’d expect from a trainee lawyer, but compared to ... he still falls far short."
Xu Liming’s mouth twitched, and he knocked on the desk. "Don’t be so quick to brag. Finish reading the docunt first."
George glanced at Xu Liming, seeming hesitant. He thought Xu Liming was overreacting. Still, he patiently reached out and opened the docunt on the desk.
He scoffed, casually flipping through the pages. "Hmph. I’d like to see just how fierce he can be."
But as he read on, the smile on his face suddenly froze and gradually faded. His complexion grew increasingly stiff. The cases listed one after another continually shattered his understanding. Especially the massive lawsuits against three thousand and then fifteen thousand people—that was taking outrageous to a whole new level, utterly absurd!
Suddenly, the office fell into utter silence, the only sound George’s occasional sharp intake of breath.
After a long while, when Xu Liming saw George had almost finished reading, he snorted contemptuously. "There’s always soone better out there. These cases he’s handled—are you sure you could do the sa?"
