She didn't want this, but this group of people kept provoking her ti and again, constantly crossing her boundaries and doing things she couldn't tolerate.
A flash of light reflected off the rearview mirror.
Aurelia looked at the black car that had followed her all the way, turned the steering wheel, and suddenly stopped by the roadside.
There weren't many cars on the road at this ti.
Aurelia opened the car door and slamd it shut.
The black car stopped behind her.
She walked directly to the passenger seat, tapped on the car window, the person inside paused, and the door unlocked.
She got in the car, "Drive."
Mason Nightshade glanced at her, said nothing, and started the car.
"Mason, I'm cold." After the car had been driving for ten minutes, Aurelia's faint voice, almost inaudible, ca through as if she were murmuring to herself.
Mason looked ahead; there weren't any cars. He held the steering wheel with one hand and took off his coat, placing it over her.
Aurelia pulled the coat closer, put her feet on the seat, and curled herself up inside his coat. The faint lemon scent on the coat finally made her feel sowhat at ease.
"You noticed long ago?" Mason broke the silence.
"Yeah." Aurelia's lazy voice replied.
Hearing that her voice was fine, Mason let out a breath of relief; it seed she hadn't been crying.
He glanced at her, "Why didn't you say anything earlier?"
"You wouldn't have stopped . Even if you did stop , you'd help handle it afterward." There was a hint of pride in her voice.
Mason felt helpless towards her.
"Cold?" The man's voice was deep and smooth.
"Yeah." Aurelia snuggled in tighter.
She felt particularly cold, as if she could never be warm enough.
"Mason." She called his na.
"Yeah." Mason answered softly.
"My mom's tombstone is damaged. Help fix it in the next few days."
"Okay."
"Fix it even better than before. My mom loved white magnolias. Plant them all around to make others envious."
"They want to ruin my mom's grave? Then I'll make it even more flamboyant. Don't they find it eyesore? I'll make sure it's in their faces, making them uncomfortable."
Mason thought Aurelia suddenly seed like a child and helplessly sighed, "Aurelia, it's autumn now."
"I don't care. I want my mom's grave to be full of white magnolias, to stand out, so that all those who dislike her won't even touch her heel." Aurelia pulled at the coat, raising her beautiful, plain face, her eyes accusingly looking at him.
If Mason hadn't slled alcohol on her, he would have suspected she'd been drinking.
"Okay," he indulgently agreed.
After a pause, "Is there anything else you need to do?"
"Jovana Shaw suddenly disappeared; Clara Philips will definitely call the police. Help manage things with JC so trouble doesn't co to ."
"Alright."
"I don't want to work for the next few days. The 'You Are My Star' promotional period is about to start. Help take a leave with Sawyer."
"Okay."
"I don't want to go ho. Take to Cloud Pavilion Garden."
"Alright."
Mason patiently agreed to everything.
"I'm sleepy. Wake when we get ho."
This ti he softly said, "Sleep," and turned on the heater.
The car stopped in front of Cloud Pavilion Garden.
Mason pulled the coat off Aurelia's head. He intended to wake her, but seeing her long, thick eyelashes fluttering, breathing evenly, he stopped.
She was asleep.
Mason sighed softly in his throat.
The events of today had greatly affected her mood; he had never seen her so calm before, like a kitten resting in one's hand, her tranquility heart-wrenching.
