Aurelia Shaw glanced down at the trembling body beneath her hand, a barely perceptible smile curving her lips.
She leaned closer to Jovana Shaw, speaking in a voice only the two of them could hear.
"Little Ru, you’re being naughty. Naughty children get punished."
Jovana Shaw’s face turned pale, her pupils dilating as her eyes widened in terror.
"Little Ru." At that mont, a middle-aged woman’s voice rang out unexpectedly.
Jovana Shaw’s thoughts were brought back; she glanced at Aurelia Shaw, stumbled back two steps, and looked at Clara Philips, tears welling, before running into Clara Philips’ arms, "Mom..."
Clara Philips saw her daughter’s frightened expression, raised her head and glared at Aurelia Shaw, "What did you do to Little Ru again? I haven’t settled the matter of you locking Little Ru in the graveyard last ti with you, and now you intend to do sothing to her in the hospital? Planning to lock her in the morgue when no one’s around?"
The more Clara Philips spoke, the more agitated she beca, her voice rising, "How can you be so cruel? I didn’t tell your dad about you locking Little Ru in the graveyard last ti, and you don’t reflect on your actions, and now you want to harm Little Ru again? Let tell you, as long as I’m here, I won’t let you bully Little Ru!"
She bullied Jovana Shaw?
Aurelia Shaw was almost amused by Clara Philips’ ability to turn things upside down.
Aurelia Shaw’s smile faded, her beautiful face turning cold, her eyes exuding a frosty chill as she looked at Clara Philips, "I already said what needed to be said last ti. Making baseless accusations without evidence is your style."
"You!" Clara Philips raised her hand, but Aurelia Shaw caught her wrist mid-air.
Aurelia Shaw’s eyes were deep and cold, and she spoke in a voice that all three could hear:
"If you think that blowing this up will sohow give you an advantage, think again. Although it might be a hassle for , it’s far from difficult to resolve. Instead, consider who will suffer more once this escalates. After all..." Aurelia Shaw paused for a mont, "you and my dad aren’t married, don’t have a license, and are nothing more than a freeloading servant in my family!"
Clara Philips was hit where it hurt, her face turning various shades of pale and livid, anger filling her eyes as she glared at Aurelia Shaw. She opened her mouth to speak, but the words wouldn’t co out.
Aurelia Shaw chuckled coldly, before looking up again, a gentle smile on her face, the corners of her eyes slightly upturned, revealing a hint of brazen confidence, "How’s my dad’s health?"
Clara Philips felt as if Aurelia Shaw was above her, and she below, and her throat choked up, responding despite herself, "Old Shaw... he’s doing much better."
Clara Philips regretted saying this the mont she finished!
Why did she have to answer just because Aurelia Shaw asked?
Aurelia Shaw turned and walked toward Balthazar Shaw’s hospital ward, "I’ll go check on my dad."
Clara Philips and Jovana Shaw were left in shock, Clara Philips turned to Jovana Shaw, asking gravely, "Didn’t you say she didn’t want Old Shaw to know?"
"I, I don’t know," Jovana Shaw stamred, "If she wanted Dad to know earlier, why didn’t she tell him on the first day she stayed in the hospital, now... now..."
Clara Philips squinted her eyes, a sharp glint flashing through them, "I get it now, this woman is really cunning, she wants to use the illness to get your dad to care about her! I’ve raised her for so many years, and I didn’t know she was so scheming!"
She deliberately raised Aurelia Shaw to achieve nothing, who would have thought that after a trip to M Nation, she’d return as if she were a different person! Did she find out about so things from back then?
