Foster Fuller and Aurelia Shaw both paused in surprise.
Foster realized he had said too much and quickly apologized in a low voice, "Sorry, I seem to have... talked too much."
"I can understand," Aurelia said with a smile. Just like when she talks about her loved ones, she can't help but say a few more words.
But... wasn't Amanda her biological sister?
Aurelia gave Foster another look but didn't ask further. Her sister was very dear to her, but this was their privacy, and she had no right to pry.
Besides, Foster was a sensible person, and she believed he could handle these things well.
Just then, Foster suddenly looked behind her.
Aurelia was startled and sensed a familiar presence. She ca over and stopped behind her, turning to see the much taller Mason Nightshade.
Mason was also looking at her, with a chaste and gentlemanly deanor, giving Foster a glance before taking Aurelia's hand and asking in a low, intimate voice, "Who is this?"
That tone... it was obvious he was jealous.
This wolf behaved quite well, even holding back his jealousy adorably.
Aurelia resisted the urge to pat his wolf head and introduced Foster to Mason, "Foster Fuller, Amanda's brother."
Paused for a mont, rembering he should have t Foster last night.
"The man who ca to pick up Amanda last night."
Mason didn't rember? With his observational and keen abilities, he shouldn't forget. Aurelia was puzzled.
"Hello, I'm Aurelia's... secret lover." Mason extended his hand, pausing deliberately as he introduced himself, as if carefully considering the term.
He had seen this face last night, and normally he wouldn't forget once he had seen soone, but last night, Aurelia was in danger at any mont, and all his attention was focused on her, not noticing anything around.
Aurelia nearly choked on her saliva.
Yet, Foster calmly shook his hand, "Hello, Amanda's brother."

Mason sensed a hostile vibe from the man, narrowed his eyes slightly, and unconsciously tightened his grip on Aurelia's hand.
Aurelia glanced down at her hand, then looked at Mason, noticing his odd expression, and then at Foster, who also didn't look happy.
What was with these two?
Though unaware of what had happened, she knew it wasn't appropriate to linger in this situation.
She smiled and bid farewell, "With you here to look after Amanda, I'll head back first."
"Alright." Foster nodded.
He watched them leave.
Only then did he return to the ward.
Seeing him co in, Amanda imdiately straightened up and kept glancing behind him. Not seeing anyone follow, she couldn't help but ask, "Where's Aurelia?"
Foster lifted his eyelids, his indifferent gaze seeming to see through her thoughts, "Gone."
Gone... Gone?! Aurelia, how can you just abandon like that? If you leave , how can I be alone in a room with my brother? His low pressure will freeze to death.
"Well... I think I just heard you talking to soone. Did soone co to see ?" Nervous, Amanda forced a topic.
Foster's hand, which was peeling an orange, paused, and a touch of unnaturalness flashed in his eyes, "No one really."
