Mason Nightshade gently caressed Aurelia Shaw’s back, tucking her hair behind her ear, and bowed his head to kiss her forehead.
When the car reached the destination, Mason did not wake Aurelia Shaw but wrapped her in his coat and carried her off the car.
Aurelia softly moaned, shifted to a more comfortable position, and continued sleeping.
Mrs. Rong quickly ca over to greet them.
Mason gestured for her to keep quiet, carried Aurelia to the second floor, placed her on the bedroom bed, and covered her with a blanket.
Aurelia turned over, furrowing her brows in discomfort. The bed was a bit cold, reminding her of the cold, hard beds in the rehab center.
"Hmm? What are you saying?" Mason saw Aurelia’s lips moving but couldn’t hear what she was saying, so he leaned closer to listen, and his body suddenly stiffened.
She said, "I didn’t do drugs, really I didn’t, Mason, you have to believe ... Mason, you have to believe ... Why don’t you believe ?"
"Aurelia, Aurelia!" Mason noticed sothing was off, patted her face, and realized her face was burning hot.
His hand instantly touched her forehead.
She’s got a fever!
"Mrs. Rong, get so fever dicine upstairs, Aurelia has a fever." After shouting downstairs, Mason held Aurelia in his arms and found her shaking, mumbling the sa words, "It wasn’t , I didn’t do drugs, I really didn’t do drugs."
"I know, Aurelia, I know, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. Don’t be afraid, I’m here now, I won’t let anyone hurt you again, don’t be afraid." Mason’s arms were trembling as he held her, kissed her burning forehead with trembling lips, feeling as if his heart was thrown into hot oil, enduring the tornt of frying.
A drop of liquid fell on Mason’s hand, causing him to shiver violently, his body stiffened, and after hesitating for a while, he held Aurelia tightly, "It’s all my fault, I didn’t protect you well, it’s all my fault, don’t be afraid, I’m here, no one will hurt you anymore."
"I don’t want to go to the rehab center, I really didn’t do drugs, it wasn’t ." Aurelia cried with tears streaming down her face as she opened her eyes, seeing the blurry yet familiar handso face before her.
Her small hands clenched his shirt, crying even harder.
"Why don’t you want our child? Why do you want it to miscarry? It’s our only child, why don’t you want our child?"
"I didn’t an to, I really didn’t an to." Mason repeatedly said, holding her shaking body tighter, kissing her forehead with trembling lips, "It’s my fault, it’s all my fault, please don’t cry, can we stop crying please?"
Mrs. Rong ca in and was shocked by the scene, stunned for a mont before realizing what was happening, hurriedly running over to hand the fever dicine to Master Mason.
Mason took it and tried to feed Aurelia.
But Aurelia refused to eat it at all.
"I won’t eat it! What are you up to this ti? Don’t think I don’t know what you’re giving , trying to make sleep through the day again? Ha! Where is Eleanor Spencer? Isn’t she the one who wants to see like this the most? Why doesn’t she co here in person!" Aurelia knocked over the water cup.
Mrs. Rong was startled, what’s going on with Young Madam?
"Ma... Master?"
Mason’s face was tense and extrely stern.
Mrs. Rong felt uneasy, not understanding the situation. But what Young Madam did next shocked her even more.
She suddenly jumped off the bed, stepping onto the ground full of broken glass, causing her feet to bleed, yet she seed oblivious to the pain.
