The next day.
Aurelia Shaw didn’t wake up until noon. She sat up, her brain throbbing painfully, as if sothing inside her head was banging around.
Staring at the clean floor, she felt like she had forgotten sothing.
Swaying slightly as she went downstairs, she found that her clothes had been changed by soone. It was obvious it must have been Mason Nightshade, but where was he?
Seeing Aunt Rong busy downstairs, Aurelia walked over, "Aunt Rong, why didn’t you wake up this morning?"
Aunt Rong, seeing her, looked pleasantly surprised, "Young Madam, you’re awake!"
She was awake? What had she done to wake up?
Perhaps seeing her confusion, Aunt Rong explained, "Last night, you fainted with a fever, which worried Young Master greatly. To get you to take dicine, Young Master even..."
At this point, Aunt Rong stopped short.
Though Young Master hadn’t told her not to say anything, saying it out loud... oh dear, it made her old face blush.
Hearing Aunt Rong hesitate, Aurelia squinted her eyes and pretended to threaten, "Confess. What did Mason do to last night?"
"Young Master, Young Master just..." Aunt Rong stamred.
This made Aurelia increasingly suspicious that he hadn’t done anything good.
"Aunt Rong, haven’t I always treated you well? I even thought you were sincere to , but it seems you are still siding with your employer." Aurelia said this intentionally.
Aunt Rong got worried, "Young Madam, I, I didn’t, it wasn’t like that. Last night, no matter how Young Master coaxed you, you wouldn’t take the dicine, so he had to feed you with his mouth."
Feeding with his mouth... The scene flashed in Aurelia’s mind, and her face turned slightly red as she cursed in her heart: Mason, that lecher.
A familiar light laugh sounded behind her, and Aurelia turned to et Mason’s teasing gaze.
No need to guess, he must have heard her conversation with Aunt Rong just now.
"So curious, why didn’t you just co ask directly?" Mason walked toward her.
"No wonder I had a strange taste in my mouth early this morning, now I get it." As she saw Mason’s face darken, Aurelia craftily smiled and quickly headed upstairs.
After changing her clothes and coming downstairs, she saw Mason sitting at the dining table, calling her to eat, "Co here."
"I have so things to do, I’m going out first." Not confident he wouldn’t "retaliate" for what she said, Aurelia felt she couldn’t stay ho much longer, lest this wolfish man devour her.
But as soon as she took a step out, her waist tightened, and she was pulled into Mason’s embrace.
Lifted up and placed on the dining table.
With a helpless sigh, Mason placed a bowl and chopsticks in front of her, "You got rained on last night and just recovered from a fever, drink the porridge first."
"Okay." After Aurelia drank the bird’s nest porridge, Mason peeled a boiled egg and placed it in her bowl.
Seeing the boiled egg, Aurelia furrowed her brows, almost knotting into a twist, "Mason, I don’t like eating eggs."
She indeed... didn’t like eating them.
To be exact, she disliked the yolk inside.
As if seeing through her mind, Mason glanced at her indifferently, took out the yolk, and left the egg white in her bowl, "Eat the egg white."
After Aurelia finished the egg white, Mason pushed a dish mixed with ingredients in front of her.
Looking closely, she thought the yellow stuff seed familiar. Wasn’t that... the yolk from just now?
Aurelia looked a bit aggrieved, "Mason, other husbands eat the things their wives don’t like for them voluntarily."
