Chapter 1384: Chapter 111: Traitor

The century of the multiverse… Explorers in time and space.

The Origin World… Endless journey.

[Cain] is simply narrating some matters, and Dazzle listens intently—he’s pletely captivated by everything outside this enormous world.

“… Are you saying that once the world’s bonds are broken, everyone feels a kind of call and then seeks?”

Dazzle furrowed his brows and instinctively asked, “So, will every individual reaching this standard inevitably experience this call?”

“Many individuals, from the first moment they feel this call, experience doubts similar to yours.”

[Cain] thought for a moment and said, “There might be special individuals who do not experience this call… But at least, in the long exploration process, the interactions among explorers indicate this is indeed so.”

“So, it is inevitable…” Dazzle couldn’t help but ponder.

[Cain] continued, “But we cannot define this event as inevitable, as we cannot exhaustively capture all individuals reaching this standard. Everything has possibilities… Thus, individuals who are not called may also exist without contradiction.”

Dazzle paced back and forth in the room and suddenly said, “Have you ever considered that behind this call, there might be some human-caused factor—after all, what is The Origin? Why is finding The Origin necessary? Isn’t it quite astonishing… so many different worlds, so many beings born beyond the limits of these worlds, all receiving the same call…”

[Cain] said indifferently, “Because you have yet to reach this step, it is difficult for you to prehend at this point. However, once you take this step, all your current doubts will be resolved. Even if I describe more to you now, I cannot truly convey that urgent feeling to you… Yet your doubts about the call are the same doubts many explorers have had.”

Dazzle couldn’t help but smile wryly: “Truly a terrible answer, it reminds me of the so-called ‘one who has been there’… Always the same tone. But, this is indeed a matter that cannot be helped, without experiencing it, no matter how I think or simulate according to your conditions, something is always lacking…”

After a pause, Dazzle asked again: “Earlier you mentioned ‘Legendary Unification’… how exactly is it achieved?”

[Cain] said, “There are many methods within, but overall two are relatively popular and fixed approaches.”

“I’d like to hear in detail.” Dazzle immediately became serious.

[Cain] said, “First, you must clarify one point, which is the distinction between Transcendents. In fact, Transcendents represent a large scope, enpassing all beings breaking the limits of the original world. In other words, its lowest threshold is being a being breaking the limits of the original world. But relatively, it has no upper limit… Because among Transcendents traveling through time and space, pure power is actually meaningless. We can always draw abundant Power from the Void… Hmm, to give an analogy, if you are accustomed to using magic as power, then you can get endless Magic Power replenishment from the Void anytime. As long as your mind can sustain, theoretically, you can indefinitely use all the magic you know.”

Dazzle was momentarily stunned… The fact that Transcendents could possess endless power reminded him of his True Dragon teacher—so long as she stood on the land of China, she had Undying Body, and her Power would be replenished at all times.

“If Transcendent parties cannot defeat each other by exhausting the other’s power, does it mean that in a conflict between Transcendents, there would be no result?” Dazzle immediately frowned.

“You overlook one point.” [Cain] said indifferently: “I mentioned that this provision of power allows you to constantly use all the magic you know.”

“All that I know…” Dazzle paused and contemplated.

“Understand now.” [Cain] nodded… This individual nearing that standard has a keen mind; he’s quite a smart lad.

“The determinant between two Transcendents’ victory is more about the differing amounts of knowledge each possesses!” Dazzle suddenly raised his head, “The one with more knowledge may not necessarily win, but will certainly have an advantage?”

“Yes, that understanding is correct, though not prehensive.” [Cain] nodded, “However, exploring more worlds indeed makes Transcendents stronger.”

Dazzle suddenly found insight: “Through another self in the multiverse, one can quickly grasp its world’s knowledge…”

He lowered his head, pacing increasingly faster in the room, “Its world self has lived in its world, already prehending most matters of that world… It’s akin to a matured fruit. But… how should it be harvested? Overlapping… is overlapping enough? It doesn’t seem so; simple overlapping might not suffice… Memory sharing? However, will the exchange be equal between both sides?”

[Cain] looked somewhat surprised at this young human wondering whether these thoughts came to him in such a short time, or if he had some revelation previously leading to these thoughts.

He slowly said, “Now I’ll be discussing the two mainstream methods of achieving ‘Legendary Unification.’ One of these methods, also currently known to be used by most Transcendents, is also the most convenient—kill your world’s self.”

“Kill… yourself?” Dazzle was suddenly shocked.

[Cain] said expressionlessly: “Each world’s self is independent, just as you are unique in this world… there won’t be another you. The world won’t harbor two selves… So when you kill your world’s self, you automatically acquire all memories and knowledge of that world’s self and gain its world’s recognition because you are yourself.”

Dazzle only furrowed his brows, did not ask for details of this method, simply noted it down, then asked: “What is the other mainstream method?”

“Let each world’s self autonomously break the world’s limits.”

[Cain] said, “Once your world’s self breaks the world’s limits, it automatically merges with another limit-breaking individual… But this method has a drawback, which is uncertainty about which self will persist. Furthermore, this method is relatively slow because different world’s selves have varying odds of breaking limits, and the majority may never break limits.”

“Despite so many disadvantages, some still choose it… There must be advantages, right?” Dazzle’s eyes glowed with intensity.

[Cain] said, “This theory exists, but lacks proof… The only evidence currently known is that among Transcendents achieving ‘Legendary Unification’ through the second method, more ‘Pseudo-Eternal Beings’ are generated.”

“‘Pseudo-Eternal Being’?”

“According to this world’s understanding…” [Cain] thought for a moment, “It’s probably akin to your notion of gods, True God-type entities.”

“Are you one too?” Dazzle suddenly asked, “This world has plenty of legends about [Cain].”

[Cain] said indifferently, “The method by which the former [Cain] became a ‘Pseudo-Eternal Being’ was somewhat different… You might not want to use it as a reference.”

“So, outside the mainstream, there are still other ways bypassing ‘Legendary Unification’ to reach the ‘Pseudo-Eternal Being’ phase… is that correct?” Dazzle’s eyes shone with greater desire for knowledge.

But [Cain] this time said indifferently, “But I do not remend attempting such methods in any future opportunities, nor do I intend to disclose this to you.”

“Oh, Sir.” Dazzle stood, shook his head and said, “You give me the impression not of a wise person who has traversed multiple worlds.”

[Cain] asked, “What kind then?”

Dazzle thought for a moment, “More like some kind of machine one.”

[Cain] was not angry, just nodded, “I think you need some time to digest this information. Additionally, the information in your mind is still very chaotic, you need more time to sort through it. Otherwise, I’m afraid your original perception will once again be overturned.”

Dazzle could only furrow his brows… knowing that this exchange was probably over for now – but the other party had no intention of rushing him away.

“I will return in three hours,” [Cain] left these words behind.

Dazzle… to sort out so much chaos in just three hours is impossible, right?!

[Cain] had quietly left.

Dazzle slowly exhaled – the mysterious man before his eyes, though claiming to be [Cain], he couldn’t fully believe him – nor the things he spoke of about its world.

This impact was no less than the mental shock from Ares.

“However…”

Dazzle couldn’t help but mutter to himself, “The gods of our world… could they also e from its world.”

[Farm].

A figure was stealthily threading through the town’s streets… heading toward Dormitory Number Seven – this was Bazby, who had left the temporary office.

He could finally pull himself away from official duties at this moment and planned to quietly visit his sister, Mina, in Dormitory Number Seven.

But just as he was about to reach Dormitory Number Seven, some strange discovery made him stop in his tracks.

There was a very faint smell of blood – not the scent of human blood, but the scent of blood left by a bloodsucker – ing from a building along the street… a chapel!

Of course, the chapel would not enshrine anything about It… the existence of this chapel was merely because of some Aristocrats’ preferences… to obtain the Pure Nun’s blood.

Bazby furrowed his brows, flashed into the building, and quickly found the source of the blood scent… a mass of black flames about to burn out appeared in front of him.

Traces of a skirmish lay around… and that soon-to-be extinguished flame was burning a corner of a uniform, next to it were two standard weapons of the Patrol Team!

Looking at the scene before him, Bazby couldn’t help frowning… then he sensed something, suddenly looked up, and saw a figure standing in the rose window above the chapel.

Clad in a black robe, not a particularly strong-looking person… he tried to make out the person’s face, but what he saw shocked him greatly.

It was a face, deathly pale, with black flames covering half of it… and those eyes, even held such fury as to move him.

Yet the person’s expression was so calm… as calm as a windless sea.

Bazby assessed with a glance, suddenly waved an arm, and three blood-colored glowing swords shot straight toward the figure above.

But just as the three blood-colored light sabers were about to hit the person, they suddenly burst into flames… black flames.

“Why did you kill them?” Bazby asked with furrowed brows.

But the figure in the window above suddenly let out a cold laugh, and in a chilling voice lowly said, “I never thought I would encounter… a traitor so quickly.”

“What?” Bazby was taken aback.

The figure in the window sneered, “…Being a bloodsucker and forgetting so quickly.”

…A woman?

With a swish, Bazby spread his wings directly.

But at this moment, the figure in front of the window waved a hand, and a giant black fire mass directly surged toward Bazby!

He swiftly evaded, but the black fiery dragon was agile beyond measure, directly exploding into dozens, almost covering all his escape routes.

Bazby was greatly shocked, instinctively closing his immense bat wings, pletely blocking the blasted flames from his body.

The searing pain made the usually stoic him show a pained expression… he groaned, his wings abruptly snapped open, extinguishing the flames on them!

But in front… the mysterious person near the window had already vanished.

“I will e for your life last… traitor!”

This sentence alone echoed within the chapel… Bazby slowly exhaled, descended – he glanced at his wings, seeing them riddled with holes and flesh torn open.

The black flame’s power was terrifying, barely tipping it off and… suddenly, Bazby’s expression changed!

In the holes of his wings, there were still flames not yet extinguished, continuing to burn relentlessly… and the fire was wildly intensifying!

Bazby gritted his teeth, directly grasped the base of his wings with both hands, let out a low angry roar, and tore off his wings forcefully!

Swish—swish—!

The torn wings flung into the air, then the black flames instantly devoured them pletely… Bazby’s face was pale, his back had two massive bleeding wounds, watching the burning falling ashes, his heart was filled with shock…
