Chapter 1385: Chapter 112: The Revolution… Has Yet to Succeed

Meila walked quickly along the streets of the town, with a very clear goal in mind… the black flame burning on her cheek flickered on and off, as if it were some sort of reminder.

Her pace unconsciously slowed, and her cold eyes were sizing up several bloodsuckers patrolling at night.

They probably weren’t members of the Patrol Team, but bloodsuckers from the Farm’s supervisory unit—their main task was to prevent the “crops” from secretly moving about at night.

A wave of hunger rose up… Meila felt as if a pair of great hands behind her were manipulating her body, steering her steps toward these bloodsuckers.

The black flame had given her tremendous Power… but this Power could not be maintained for long.

It was more like a special weapon… and her targets of vengeance—the bloodsuckers—were the energy source of this weapon—she needed to keep using the black flame to burn the bloodsuckers, Devour their Souls, and only then could she in turn gain the energy needed to wield the black flame.

Aside from that, she could not use this flame to Devour any other Souls… an extremely harsh constraint.

But it was precisely because of the strength of this constraint that the flame’s might became so great—allowing her, a descendant of ordinary Ancients, to easily wipe out bloodsuckers.

She glided closer like a Ghost… when the black flame suddenly burst into being behind them, they didn’t even have time to make any sort of response.

They didn’t even leave behind a single word… only a heap of ashes remained.

As though it had eaten its fill, the black flame once again burned steadily on Meila’s cheek, shedding a dim, grayish glow.

The Power flooded her whole body again; Meila did not hesitate in the slightest and, at the fastest speed, reached the first destination of this trip—the place where her rades were imprisoned.

A low, unceasing sound drifted over, seeming to carry a tinge of pain… in the dungeon, many of those trapped here lifted their heads one after another.

They looked utterly wretched, the torture wounds crisscrossing their bodies like a tangled spiderweb… the torment of the body was, in fact, the lighter part.

Because some had already been unable to hold on long ago, had pletely collapsed—clearly still alive, yet letting the bloodsuckers carrying out the executions abuse their bodies without making the slightest response.

The Leader’s name was David—he had once been seized from another Clan Farm by a Pureblood Hunter and, after many twists and turns, finally escaped with his life from the hands of a Lower-level Vampire Nobility who had purchased him.

He knew all too well the tragic destinies of the “crops”—he swore to end this enslavement of the Ancients by the bloodsuckers.

David soon found rades who shared his ideals—people who had escaped from the various Farms even earlier than he had.

They began to quietly and systematically slip back into the various Farms, spreading the idea of freedom to the children in the Farms—they were like a virus in the eyes of the Clan bloodsuckers, ruining the taste of the “crops” at a terrifying speed.

Perhaps they grew greedy for merit—just over half a month ago, David had planned to organize a large-scale escape—but their string of constant successes seemed to have made them forget the enormous, inherent gap between ordinary humans and bloodsuckers.

It was only a small mistake—and the entire covert action team embedded in the Torrido Clan Farm was pletely exposed, being the prisoners of the Torrido Clan.

Perhaps, if not for the Golden Dragon’s destruction of the castle, they might never have seen anything beyond those castle walls, but even so…

Even so.

David stared fixedly at the bloodsucker servant outside the cage, the one dozing as he stood watch here—even so, in a frontal confrontation, humans couldn’t even defeat a mere servant like this… let alone in their current, battered state.

Unwilling, unwilling, unwilling!

Blood as red as fresh scarlet flowed from his wide-open eyes… his lips were already bitten through—yet aside from the abrasions caused by straining too hard, his wrists did not break free of the shackles.

“It’s me who’s wronged you all…”

David shut his eyes in pain… he didn’t even dare look at his rades, who were likewise tortured and on their last breaths.

Then… a black flame suddenly burned up from the servant guard’s body.

In the eyes of all the trapped Revolutionary Army (as they called themselves), that guard, engulfed head to toe in flame, couldn’t even let out a cry.

He only toppled to the ground, rolling madly, rolling… then suddenly went still… and turned into ashes.

The dungeon’s door hinges gave a faint grinding sound as the door slowly opened… a black-robed figure stepped slowly into the dungeon.

The one in the black robe… there was a mass of black flame on the other’s face, blocking everyone’s view—they saw only that this figure slowly stretched out a hand.

The shackles on David and the rades beside him were incinerated in an instant—they watched this scene in disbelief: their own side… freed!

“Hurry and get out of this place, I’ve already killed the guards outside.”

“You are…” David froze, hurried a few steps, and quickly walked up in front of the Black-Robed Man.

The Black-Robed Man… she merely silently took two steps back and said once more, “Leave here.”

David was filled with shock, but he knew full well this was no time to waste—he quickly made a decision, ordering his Revolutionary rades to support one another and leave this dungeon.

The mysterious and powerful Black-Robed Man led the way ahead of them… just as she had said, they didn’t see a single Clan guard along the route.

They soon reached the edge of the Farm without any real danger.

“There are still five hours until Dawn.” She looked at these scarred Revolutionaries. “That’s when the bloodsuckers will shrink their range of activity. You’d best find somewhere to hide… see that wall? On the other side is the Breeding Farm. If you hide in there, it’ll be relatively safer… the management over there isn’t as strict as it is here.”

With that, she turned directly around, clearly about to head back into the town once more.

David hastily stepped in front of her and blurted, “Meila… you’re Meila, aren’t you? I recognized your voice! What on earth… happened, why are you—”

She stopped in her tracks but did not look back. “Go. What es next has nothing to do with you anymore.”

David was taken aback and reached out to grab her wrist, saying anxiously, “Meila? What happened, where’s Azas? Didn’t he escape with you?”

“Don’t touch me!!”

He hadn’t expected her reaction to be so violent at that moment; she flung her hand out, a trace of black flame-light surging… David’s whole body was sent flying.

He crashed to the ground and spat out a mouthful of pus-tinged blood… coughing, David finally struggled back to his feet with the help of his rades—but everyone was now staring at her in stunned disbelief.

“If you don’t want to die, then leave immediately.” She left these words coldly behind, then turned and went, disappearing from sight in the blink of an eye.

The group of Revolutionaries who had just been rescued were left there, at a plete loss.

“Was that… was that really Meila? It feels like she’s bee a pletely different person…”

“Yeah, Meila has always been really gentle…”

“David, what do we do now?”

David took several deep breaths, then gritted his teeth, stuck his fingers into his mouth, and forcibly snapped one of his teeth… There seemed to be something hidden inside that tooth.

—The last one.

David said to himself in his heart.

It was a tiny pill—David directly swallowed the pill that had been hidden inside the tooth.

He closed his eyes, and the injuries on his body began to heal rapidly.

He looked at his panions beside him and said, “Besides Meila and Azas, two other rades also escaped. Right now, they’re very likely still hiding inside the Farm. I’m going to pick them up. You go hide in the Breeding Farm first and wait for me… When it gets light, if I still haven’t joined up with you, leave immediately! Don’t worry about me!”

“David!”

“This operation has failed. We’ve already lost contact with the Leader for more than half an hour.”

David said in a low voice at this moment, “But failure isn’t scary! Because the enemy we’re facing has always been a hundred times, a thousand times stronger than us! To the bloodsuckers, killing any one of us is utterly insignificant! But for us, killing a single bloodsucker is a great victory! Even if we’re weak, there will e a day when we’ll use these humble hands to personally send them into eternal damnation! We’ll use these weak bodies they never even bothered to look at to plete a true resistance, to liberate all of our rades! The fire of darkness will eventually die out, and the dawn’s first light will shine forever! What you need to do is not stop me, but withdraw safely, so I won’t have the slightest concern holding me back!”

“You… you be careful!”

Their panions came forward one by one, each giving David a hug.

Only after his rades had taken advantage of the night and disappeared did David slowly let out a breath, then roused his spirits and once more slipped back into the town.

“Listen, first you do this and this, then you do this and this, and in the end you do this and this, got it!”

In her head, Long Sister’s words kept replaying over and over… like reciting from memory, the lady with butterfly wings was working hard to simulate the plan of the true dragon of China.

In the corridor of the villa, she was looking for the figure of the Maid—at this moment, the lady with butterfly wings suddenly thought of a problem.

If You Ye isn’t alone, but together with the Boss… how am I supposed to keep going, oh?

And also… do we really have to do it this way?

If I go back to ask now, it feels like it’s already too late… While she was still hesitating, Ms. Butterfly suddenly felt something approaching from behind her.

She jumped in fright and hurriedly turned around, only to find that the one approaching her was exactly You Ye she had been looking for.

“Did I scare you?” The Maid smiled faintly at this moment.

—Listen, first you do this and this, then you do this and this, and in the end you do this and this, got it! Got it! Got it!

In her mind, it was as if she heard Long Xiruo’s voice—like she had hit the REPLAY button, playing over and over in her head, like some kind of scripture.

“I…” Luo Pianqian opened her mouth at this moment.

The Maid seemed very patient; she just smiled, waiting for the other party to finish what she wanted to say.

“You Ye, don’t you have to stay with the Boss? Why are you here, oh?” The lady with butterfly wings suddenly changed the subject… only to feel the true dragon’s voice in her head start frantically replaying again.

Now it felt like it wasn’t just echoing in her mind—there were seemingly countless incarnations of the true dragon of China all around her, nagging in that chattering voice by her side, repeating the same thing over and over.

“As for me…” The Maid chuckled softly, but didn’t go on, merely said, “Ms. Pianqian, you don’t look too well?”

“Heh…” The lady with butterfly wings gave a sheepish laugh… feeling as if her head was about to explode, her skull swelling and lifting off, stars bursting before her eyes… the whole world seemed to start spinning.

The next second, she toppled directly toward the Maid.

At the moment she was about to collapse, You Ye slightly parted her lips… there was a split-second hesitation, but that instant of hesitation didn’t affect the actions she’d already decided on—in the moment before the lady with butterfly wings hit the floor, she had already reached out and caught her.

The lady with butterfly wings now hung her head, looking pletely unconscious… The Maid glanced around the surroundings, and, seeing nothing out of the ordinary, supported the lady with butterfly wings away from there and slipped into a nearby room.

Just then, a figure flashed past in the corridor!

Secret Technique: The Edge of The World Is Near!

The true dragon of China left that area in the very next instant… When she stopped, she glanced back, let out a cold snort, then quickened her pace.

Long Xiruo soon stopped in front of a certain room… since she had no idea when that scheming woman would e back, the true dragon of China wasn’t about to be coy, nor did she intend to dwell on what a terrible impression sneaking into a man’s room in the middle of the night might leave. She simply pushed with both hands and walked straight in.

The room was somewhat dim… only a few candles were lit in the corners.

As for Boss Luo, he couldn’t be detected directly by sense… only when he wanted people to know he was there would they feel his presence—in general, his existence could only be caught in the most straightforward way.

The eyes.

Even the true dragon of China couldn’t get around that… grumbling about this nonstop in her heart, the true dragon of China now eyed a chair in the room.

The chair was facing away from her… but she could see the upper half of a head sticking out above the back.

Long Xiruo strode up quickly. “Hey, I’ve got a question for you! Answer me, quick! Otherwise your little lover is going to e back!”

She didn’t get the response from Boss Luo that she’d imagined… Long Xiruo couldn’t help freezing for a moment.

“Don’t tell me he actually fell asleep?” The true dragon of China muttered reflexively, “Wanting to turn back into a human… you’re really that obsessed, huh.”

She steeled herself and suddenly thought that if he really had fallen asleep…

The true dragon of China subconsciously swallowed, step by step walking around to the back of the chair, and whispered, “Um… hey, I’m here, can you hear me?”

“I’m talking to you!” She had no choice but to raise her voice a little. “At least give me some kind of reaction, okay?”

Boss Luo on the chair remained motionless.

“You damned profiteer! Pretending you can’t hear me, is that it!” Suddenly riled up, the true dragon of China violently spun the chair around. “Afraid I’ll just eat you right now… huh?”

She saw that on the turned chair, it wasn’t Boss Luo at all, but just a pillow with a wig thrown over it…
