"Is sothing wrong?" Clentine asked.

I t her gaze, then pointed at the entrance with my chin.

"I think soone’s out there fighting."

She paused for a mont, deeply focusing beyond the chasm, but just like , she wasn’t able to see outside. It worried both of us equally, but as for Kai, who had overheard our conversation, he didn’t seem too worried.

"So what if soone’s fighting? Do you seriously think there’s a force that can go past five Demon Kings? Pfft... If you really think that, then you’re stupider than I thought. On another note, they’re done killing everyone, so let’s get this over with, shall we?"

He walked ahead and slowly approached the large portal leading to the Demon Realm. The other saviors also huddled around it, waiting for Clentine and to co.

So after a brief pause, we did.

Once we got to the portal, the first thing we did was try to glance into it with our energy, but sadly, we weren’t able to.

But that didn’t an we weren’t ready, as Liam’s shadow suddenly took a step forward and entered the portal. Sylas and Lana followed right after. In the end, Kai hopped on through, and then Clentine and I.

We held hands, not wanting to get separated. Though it seed like we didn’t have anything to worry about, as after the teleportation was over, we appeared atop a large mountain top.

Although I had Telekinesis to keep us in the air, the others didn’t. I watched as the others slid down, and in the anti, Clentine and I glanced around. With such a vantage point, we could see a lot.

That didn’t an I wasn’t confused, though.

The sky was cloudy, yet sohow, rays of sunshine shone through, illuminating the ground—a crimson sea that seed nearly endless. So parts of the sea were calm, while others raged with tsunamis that crashed against the large mountains, much like the one we were on.

I narrowed my eyes at the sea, only to realize that it wasn’t even blood. It was water, but sothing down below made it appear crimson. That certain sothing was also most likely responsible for the waves and tsunamis.

"Is the Demon Realm supposed to look this normal?" Clentine questioned.

"Nope. The last ti I was here, the sky was light red, and there was a giant pitch-black moon in place of the sun. I don’t know which area we’re in, but I can assure you it’s the Demon Realm," I replied.

After all, the miasma was unmistakable. No other area could have sothing this foul, but also surprisingly beautiful. Though, amongst the natural beauty of this weird landscape, was also sothing I managed to spot without trying much.

On one of the mountain tops, there was a whole ass fortress built. It was held up by thick pillars that spiraled around the mountain, making it nearly impossible to topple due to the tsunamis.

But that didn’t an I couldn’t just destroy it with a single burst of my Telekinesis. I wasn’t alone, of course, as the saviors who had finally decided to stop ssing around and fly in the sky spotted the structure in the distance too.

"Amon, I’m getting a really bad feeling about this," Clentine said, tugging at my sleeve.

I let out a sigh. "I know, so am I. But trust , I have a very big surprise for you when we finally get out. It’s more like... I wanted to do it sooner, but we had way too much stuff going on for to get to it."

She paused for a mont, until her eyes widened. Her cheeks flushed red as ideas flooded her mind. I really doubted that she was thinking of marriage at the mont... since as the person who sotis glances through her hentai mangas, I knew for a fact there was no concept of marriage in them.

So while I only had wholeso intentions, Clentine most likely thought I was going to make a move on her after we’re back.

...Honestly?

I probably should.

Coughing to myself to wash away the embarrassnt, I brushed her hair slightly, not correcting her. Then, I flew the two of us over to the rest of the saviors, and to my surprise, they were actually a bit more vocal than before.

"Minus the weird blob that replaced that child, how are we looking?" Kai asked, pointing ahead at the fortress.

"Anyone wanna do the honors of blasting that shit to the ground? Amon, Clentine, Lana, maybe?"

He turned to Sylas.

"Or maybe you? You’re pretty good at destroying stuff."

Sylas stared at him for a mont, then said:

"I prefer to only use my powers when I must."

"So you’re a lazy bum who wants to give others work then. Given your age, it’s understandable."

The air grew colder, making it evident that Sylas disliked when people talked about his age. But then again, Kai was at least a few centuries older than him, if not more, so if he were to attack him, it would be petty.

At least, that’s how I understood it. That, or he had enough self-preservation to not start a fight out of nowhere.

Whatever it may be, I decided to step up.

"I can do it. It looks like they’re all gathered there anyway, so it should be pretty easy."

Just then, Lana chid in.

"I’ll help you then."

Though...

"No, you won’t, vixen. Don’t even try going anywhere near him," Clentine said coldly.

Everyone turned to her with surprised looks, including .

Though when I t her gaze, she stared at innocently, almost making forget what she just said a mont ago.

"Ahem... Well, I guess Amon and Clentine can deal with it," Kai said and backed off.

The others did too... except for whatever creature replaced Liam. It stared at nacingly, until it finally closed its eyes. A strange cocoon suddenly ford, enveloping the dark creature, and just a few seconds later, that cocoon cracked, revealing a completely unscathed Liam.

The sa kid whose body that body crawled out of earlier.

...He was alive?

More importantly, was this his weird Gift or sothing?

No... When I first entered the Project, Wilhelm and Alexius ntioned that there were two others who managed to survive the Project, and since there were only five saviors, it didn’t take a genius to figure out Liam was likely one of those people who survived experintation.

Regardless of that, Liam just floated around aimlessly, his expression blank. On the other hand, I exchanged a glance with everyone present, and then alongside Clentine, flew up, prepared to bring down the whole fortress.
