With the last of our bickering, we eventually entered so long hallway, and after arriving at the door at the very end, we stopped.

I couldn’t feel anything past this door, except for the presence of soone seemingly there and not there at the sa ti. It was a weird sensation that I wasn’t sure I had ever felt before.

Strange...

But if soone was wise enough to be considered an oracle, I was sure that person was mysterious in their own right.

So with that in mind, I gave Godfrey one last look, and after making sure there were no issues, I simply stepped through the door. To my surprise, the room was as plain as ever, and from the looks of it, it was a bedroom.

A bedroom with no windows, no sharp tableware, and most definitely nothing one could kill themselves on.

As I glanced ahead, I spotted a white haired woman. Her hair and eyes were also white, and right off the bat, she gave the impression of a Divine Beast. I thought it was a little too far fetched at first, until I got closer and realized that the woman’s presence was indistinguishable from any other Divine Beast.

And that got thinking...

There were five Divine Beasts I knew of in the ga from all the lore. I had already co across four of them, didn’t I?

Rachel.

Elise.

That bastard who tried to kill .

This woman...

There was only one left.

But who was the last Divine Beast?

Rather...

How many of these Divine Beasts really are on humanity’s side? Elise, for one, is a very big neutral. Rachel seems even more chaotic, which likely ans she’s an enemy.

The one who attacked was definitely not with humanity, and as for this woman here...? It didn’t take a genius to realize she was enslaved by these demons, so the odds of her actually being on their side were slim to none.

The door was soon closed shut. I was surprised by how lenient they were being. After all, the difference between a Demon Emperor and wasn’t as large as one would expect. I could probably kill her here and they would not have enough ti to react.

Godfrey might though.

Whatever the case may be though, I decided to play it safe. I approached the woman and sat down on the bed beside her. She seed unresponsive at first, until she sniffed the air and turned toward .

Only then did I realize that her pupils were a little off, almost like she was blind. I focused my energy on her eyes and quickly noticed that there was no energy traveling into her eyes, almost like she was blind.

Despite that...

"Amon Everness, or do you prefer Gabriel Edware?"

"...?"

"Who’s Gabriel Edware?"

She paused for a mont, then sighed.

"How many tis have you died?"

Okay...

This is starting to feel a little weird.

Before I could reply, she continued:

"One during your previous life, another while your heart was being replaced. Then, you were stabbed through the heart, and... Hmm... I can sense you’ve died a couple more tis, but I can’t feel it. Though that would explain why you cannot recall so details of your life before you were transmigrated here."

Gabriel Edware...

I thought over it for a mont. The na didn’t seem that familiar, but judging by her words, that was my na before I beca Amon Everness. My na back in my old world, the sa na I had forgotten.

"Can I not rember because of death corruption?" I asked.

She crossed her legs and shrugged.

"Death corruption isn’t real. What you’re experiencing is just a simple form of derealization. I highly doubt the life you even experienced in that strange dream is real. It is much more likely that you’re... Oh? Now that’s fascinating..."

She fell silent after mumbling. Though, my curiosity was far from fulfilled.

"What are you talking about?" I turned to her. "Derealization? Strange dream? Tell . Now."

The woman paused for a mont, then let out a chuckle.

"No need to threaten , boy. I am here to answer every question you pose, except for those that threaten my own well-being, or that of my fellow siblings."

She then pointed at her chest.

"I don’t have a na, but the demons have decided to call Indra. You may call that too, Gabriel."

"It’s Amon," I replied. Then, I narrowed my eyes. "If you’re so intent on answering my questions, then answer them. What are you talking about?"

Indra leaned back on the bed and plopped down. A faint smile spread across her face as she said:

"In tis of realization or reincarnation, you are very much capable of achieving impossible results, especially when they co to terms of your own imagination."

"Those results sotis vary. Many cannot replicate what you have, Gabriel. It’s a very interesting feat, the ability to see the past, present, and future. You’re very much one of us, but you don’t seem in your right state of mind... When did you awaken?"

I wasn’t the wisest man alive, but I could pick up on subtle hints. In this case, the hints weren’t that subtle at all, as I knew fully well just what Indra was referencing to.

But none of it made sense. Not a single bit.

Very much one of us?

One of the Divine Beasts?

Was she trying to lie to just because of the demons’ influence?

No...

If she was lying, I would be able to tell.

This was legit.

But if that was legit, did that an everything that I had experienced in the past wasn’t real? What about my family in that other world? What about all the suffering I had gone through, and all the ti I spent on that shitty ga?

Was all of that just a lie? Everything?

No...

There must be so explanation.

I narrowed my eyes at Indra.

"Tell everything you know."
